Never EVER get tired of seeing the genuine joy in kids faces. Soldiers coming home to surprise their kids animal surprises and more...it's never gets old and of course we can't forget adoption surprises
I wonder, when these video show this kind of emotion, if the family had lost a pet shortly before the holidays. I totally understand, the love of a pet can be the strongest bond in our lives. I lost a pet under tragic and frightening conditions when I was 7 years old. Kids at school where so uncaring, said “oh it’s just a dog”. They obviously did not have a pet, or had never lost one. Or perhaps just sociopaths. Hope this puppy has grown up and loved like she should be.
True story for you about naming your puppy, this is not a recommendation just a cute story. I grew up near my grandparents farm and my family all lived in the same town. We would always be at the farm because we could play in the barn, drive the tractors around and later as teenagers we had our dirt bikes (motorized), but me, my brothers and my cousins always had our dogs. Now my grandfather could barely keep all the grandkids names in order on a good day and heaven forbid if he got mad at you, he would have to run through all the names until he finally got the right one, then he could yell at you. So he had no chance with all the dogs. So every dog he came across that dogs name was fleabag regardless of the correct name. My grandfather was the sweetest man and his sour demeanor was always a put on. He loved us kids! So ever since his passing way back in the 80s I have named everyone of my dogs "Fleabag" in his honor. And yes I have to tell this story every time someone asks me for my dogs name, I usually get a smile out of them.
You know you’re getting a puppy, for them it’s a surprise, so ofc they are going to be a little emotional ! You are never to old to cry, grow up if you think otherwise.
Why do Girls (and young women) scream like demented Banshee's ? Why did the kids need to be told to get it out of the box ? Who's idea was that ridiculous red bow ? The pup was constantly tripping up on it. It's not a furry toy, it's a living, breathing, animal and should be treated with respect !

Usually kids are a little older to cry about a new puppy but shes more emotionally mature and appreciative than most her age.
