Ha thats crazy. Yeah I figured you were looking at the poem for guidance buts still nuts. I remember a lot of people being stuck here when the game originally came out.
This maps is so frustrating I went to every room and am still stuck
I finished SH2 without breaking a sweat but goddamn this game is definitely freakier, I’m currently on the bit right after you go through the clock tower doors.
Just realised something, the little creatures are different in the American and Uk/PAL versions. Here they are grey with knives, in the PAL version they have long claws and a hole in their face.
Yeah I remember they said it was an issue with them looking too much like "kids"

The original design is exclusive to the American release. In other regions, they were replaced with the Mumbler monsters from the sewer due to concern from censors.

Whats the piano puzzle about? How is that solved?
Test all the piano keys to see which ones click and which ones play a note. Once you locate the ones that click, read the poem on the wall. The poem tells you in what order the "birds" (keys) are located, so push the corresponding keys in the same order as they were introduced in the poem, and you'll get the Silver Medallion.
Alternatively, you can just look and see when I did it in the video. :P

Well you would expect that from video games of this era... they were just starting to make this stuff when this came out. Just like resident evil...good concept poor execution by today's standards
