I love now nathan is like almost singing through clenched teeth cos hes pissed shilo just whacked him w a shovel but trying to keep his temper
AceripXF I think he also trying to keep the repoman personality at bay
He's not pissed at her. He's pissed at himself and rotti
littlesongbird1 no I’m sure he’s totally (also) pissed at her for leaving the house lmao T.T
He is also probably in pain
@@randawilson6916 well.....that too lol
The way he delivers that last line.... no matter how many times I see this movie... still gives me goosebumps. That guy is so criminally under-rated as an actor.
Dustin Hertel You obviously haven't seen Buffy lol. He was also a replacement Frank N Furter in the 1990 revival of the Rocky Horror stage play (pretty funny in hindsight, considering Repo's status as the RHPS of the 21st century.
Dustin Hertel omg me too its jusr sooo awesome!!!!
Dustin Hertel i just just wanna.....grrr lol hes soooo good lookin
Tony Head is definitely one of my favourite actors. Like Ron Perlman, I am just always happy to discover him in a movie.
the 3 partial breaths at the start are like reversed laughter... chilling
Awkward moment when you hit a guy in a mask with a shovel and it's your dad.
Yeah, totally. I remember when it happened to me, things with him were a little awnkwar for months
"why does his mask have a shovel?"
Gosh i hate when that happens
Were all been there
I find it kind of funny that shilo finds out her dad is the most brutal killer she knows of, and instead of running, she starts hitting him and saying she hates him. Maybe it's just me, but if I found out my dad was the repo man, I'd run in the opposite direction.
BlaiddtheWolf There’s a lot of instances that would suggest that maybe Shilo isn’t the brightest bulb in the batch. She also doesn’t seem to think much through & is ridiculously impulsive. So, y’know.
To be fair Shilo has been sheltered her whole life, also she probably doesn't think her dad would really hurt her (keep in mind she doesn't know about the poisoned medicine yet). You could make the argument that she was going to run out of there, but seeing Mag's corpse enraged her. I really love Alexa Vega's acting in this scene, such a tranquil fury.
@@JustAPrayer It's also part of the character arc. She starts off afraid of everything and only taking tiny moments of fairly inconsequential bravery when she thinks she can safely retreat. Then as she learns more about how fucked up the world is and realizes she's surviving outside, she gets more curious, more confrontational. Like, when she was cornered in the graveyard, she was terrified the system was going to thoughtlessly kill her and was crying for her dad. Here it's just "Oh. He is the system. It's been surrounding me all along. I've never been out of danger and being understanding won't help me escape."
That's why when Rotti starts putting on a show out of their lives, and she feels like a game piece, like she can't really understand what's real, she has that psychosomatic pain that makes her pass out. It takes Nathan admitting to his crimes and owning up to just how horrendous everyone involved is that she starts being strong again, not just protecting him, but comforting him in death like he would comfort her in bed. He stopped playing Rotti's game and told her the truth, and that's all she needed to be certain.
@@QuikVidGuy Yes, you put it perfectly.
@@JustAPrayer T H E M E S
This might be long, bear with me: he's not singing to the camera, he's singing to marni's taxidermied corpse right in front of him. In early songs, he would hear Marni's voice, but this time he doesn't and is asking, "Didn't I?" to her. :O
Hali Edmunds Well, what the heck was the image on the projection?
Edit: On second thought, ignore that. I saw the movie and now know what it is.
Wait oh my goodness that makes so much sense
You can hear whispering responding back
I’ve noticed that too in the beginning of the “didn’t I…” he sings in lower tone speaking to marnie
when he is speaking to Shilo “can’t we just go home shi and forget this dreadful night?” He sings in a much higher tone.
Pay attention to his pitch though out this part when speaking to marnie is much lower then he switches to higher tone when speaking to shilo.
When shilo asks him two questions “didn’t you say you we’re different..” and “say you aren’t that person…” he responds lower to the first because he’s responding to marnie and higher on second question because he’s responding to shilo.
Then at the end when he says “didn’t I raise her all alone?” That’s where you hear marnie whispering “you did, you did”. Also at this part approx 2:10 on the right hand side you see marnie head in the camera angle proving even more of your theory of him speaking to marnie and then shilo throughout this entire scene.
Bravo on you eagle eye perception!
I love how he was like fuck it... if I'm the bad guy so be it.
Oh, damn. Giles went dark on us, guys!
singerg02 He has become Reaper again....Don't tell Buffy!!!
Mister Real --- I won't tell if you won't!
Then we shall be good!!
Of course he did, everyone goes dark. The Dark Side has the best Cookies.
Comes with hunting vampires all those years
whenever ha says "i tried, I TRIED" i get chills lol
HELL YES!! I love when he says the line Then the let the father die, and let the monster rise! I love how he sings it and how he looks! I mean him and the graverobber are my fav characters!
I'm so obsessed with how long the ending note is. DAMN ANTHONY!
Just the expression on his face when he sings LET THE FATHER DIE N LET THE MONSTER RIIIIIIIISE good lord *heavy breathing* lol
Opera music with rock in roll.
Thanks for stating the obvious.
Idiot.
@@blind_surgeon just wondering if you’re still a jerk two years later
@@linken0879 ur mom gay
Rock opera
props to nathan for staying conscious after shilo hit him with a shovel.
you watched too many movies you can't knock out someone only kill them or not
Dude every time I see Anthony Heads hair slicked back now a days I always think he looks like hannibal lecter! which is ALWAYS a good thing!
How is no one talking about his face when he sees Mag is dead. Like he's just as shocked and heartbroken as she is
my conclusion is that all the men in this movie wear some type of Demonia brand boot wear.
I came to the same one
The projection showed Blind Mag impaled on the iron prop fence.
His voice always sounded sexy when he sings.
Just saw this movie for the first time last year and i'm already in love with it. It's amazing. Definitely a modern day Rocky Horror Picture Show.
When Nathan sings the word 'rise', it lasts for 12 seconds.... wow
Jesus did you have to hit him that hard
Mona Darnold lmao right
HAW IS HE STILL ABLE TO GET UP
"He's alive isn't he? What's that?... Oh."
@@DarkAngel-by6yd well he's probably wearing a helmet (the repo man mask). you can hear that when shilo throws the mask at him it sounds like something very solid
He is an amazing actor especially from Buffy the vampire slayer
I played this at 1.25 speed on accident..
and I don't know which one I like better.
I started messing around with the speeds when I saw this. At 0.5, the father sounds more sinister at the beginning. Haha.
Melissa_Wale_Official OH MY GOD I DID THAT AND I'M CRYING.
THAT'S HOW YOU SUMMON SATAN GUYS.
I guess the father really did die, if he's going to do that.
To be fair, he was doing it to save his wife and his unborn child.. even though.. in return.. he was.. the reason Shilou was sick..
Tayder Both they're bothso good
You can watch Nathan die as the repo man takes over ....this is an underated gem
now class what have we learned....thats right never betray repo
I love this movie, the details and the acting and the music
0:21 love his "OH SHIT" face XD
also love the hollow thunk the helmet makes when she throws it
First heard this in a fandom video. Loved it. Sang along.
Then, I watched the movie musical. Had a fangirl moment.
2:34--"Waffle night is ruined!"
TheaterRaven no waffles 😢lol
2019 and still fully addicted to this movie. Anyone else?
That last note... dayum!
When i first heard it, i thought it said "What, he took her from me," as if he couldn't believe it, but it was my first repo and someone set it for digimon
She knows how to *SWING*
Jeez. I love this. I just found it. I don’t know why? It’s growing on me...
the funny thing is she was next to Samurai swords and she chose a shovel instead lol
Well if i were shilo i wouldn't want to cut off a guy's arm and watch him bleed to death in front of me
*the comment below is a reply to hail emmounds note about Nathan speaking to his dead wife, I copied it here for anyone to see if they wanted my opinion on it*

i love his voice!
The way he kicked the open. 😱😱
I heard this song before seeing the movie..Only part I'd seen was the Zydrate Anatomy scene. So when she says "Someone has replaced you", I assumed she was talking about a relationship with Graverobber... Now THAT would have been a fun twist in the story.
Teen Angst! The Musical
This was how I was introduced to Repo! Spent a MONTH tracking down a copy (no store near me had copies). Money and time well spent
Anthony Head have a great voice, since Buffy (Season 6) i liked he voice.
Tell me how act dad!
What to say dad!
when you want the last waffle
1:31 See that picture of Rotti in the bottom right corner?
The question is how can you leave this scene without goosebumps?
Omg I've being looking for that song for ages thank you
somehow I will convince my highschool to let the drama department do this.
Did you?
Now I'm hooked as vortex:)
I get chills every time he starts singing from 2:01 on
OMG!!!!!!!!!!
I just realized that Nathan is played by Anthony Stewart Head, Giles in Buffy the Vampire Slayer!! I knew he was a good singer in "Once More, With Feeling"!!!!
OMG I AM SO PROUD OF MYSELF :D
The best movie ever very good I love it
The very end of the video... Is that Nathan ripping someone's heart out? O.O
We just going to gloss over that the door open by itself? The place is haunted I tell you!
Omg I'm in love with this movie all over again :)
I didnt know it was a movie, thought it was just a bunch of songs. I'm getting this movie now. :p
How did I get a HALMARK commercial before this?!
this was the first song i heard and now I'm obsessed with the whole thing
Gawd his voice is 😍😍😍
Because he is Anthony Stewart Head... the hotness is inherent.
Mr. Giles from Buffy!!!!!!
luv it
Crazy I know I'm twisted this is a cool theatrical coverage if the play Repo gonna own it
I love this whole song but the best bit has got to be 0:00-0:08. HAHAHA, so funny! lol
Repo is actually on Comcast or Xfinity on demand right now in free movies.
2:29
When Willow lost Tara.
I only came to hear Nathan say "Let the monster RIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIISE!"
DDAAMMNN!!! This opera go hard CORE! ^__^
2:20 on TOTALLY EPIC!!!
I FINALLY FOUND IT AGAIN!! YAY!!!!!
I love her voice
i love this song
I need to watch this movie again
OMG it's alexa vega. Didn't notice till the end of the vid :o
This reminds me of my hate-filled relationship with my biological father.. Here is why:
When I was a baby during the first few years of my life, he hit my mother, abused her, for three years. Then she kicked him out when I was a toddler.
A few years ago, I found out, with my mom and stepdad, that my bio-father was arrested, for abusing two women, and _raping a girl my age and filming child pornography._
*He fucking **_filmed_** the rape.*
I just want to scream to him, _"You are dead, dad, in my eyes! Someone has replaced you! (my stepdad) Dad, I _*_hate_*_ you! Go and _*_DIE!!"_*
I am so sorry, I can completely understand but at a much lower rate (my farther was abusive...) I truly hope it doesn't affect you in a bad way
Maddie H It has affected me, but I'm okay. :/
Sorry about your father :(
He is beyond a second chance
Nothing I hate more than people who make up crap on the internet to gain sympathy from strangers.
Fąℓℓεŋ Aŋɠεℓ hey I have nothing to do with that but cause apparently you say you'd do all that but everyone can be all talk till it's time to do everything u spoke about not what there saying is your taking a lot of smack for someone you never met if u grew up with him that's one thing but not dealing with it is another
Thats one hell of a padded helmet to take that blow lol
@LivingDeadGirl13100 Yeah, it is still on there as of tonight when I checked.
@ConersSabrina
Yes it is. and you should really watch it.
Amazing movie
You just made my day.
when I think of my mum dying when I'm born, my dad having schisophrenia and double personality and killing people every day and me being isolated from the world because on a blood infection - well, I'd rather not.
and that's just a beginning :P
ah, love this! 8D I will do an animation of this BD
Souch a good movie
i wish the world was really like a rock opera
Just wondering, what did she see on the projection? I could never figure out what it was.
SolitaireMasta blind mag dead on the fence
@Ankido94 yes its called Repo! The Genetic Opera
@talistorosaurus Bestbuy and Walmart both carry it on dvd and blu-ray. Blue-ray is awesome if you have the means to play it.
@ConersSabrina Repo! The genetic opera... you can watch in on netflix instant play
I demand an anime version. RIGHT NOW.
That is how I feel about my stupid alcoholic Father 💀🍺💀
your not the only one
Good
Okay. Thanks. This scene makes a bit more sense now.
@ConersSabrina This is possible the greatest movie of all time
No one:
Me: THEN ROTTI TOOK HER FROM ME STOLE MY SHILOH HES TO BLAME
I love you for this. xD
I wish my school was a rock opera instead of highschool musical it sucked make it awesomer
Anyone know where I can find sheet music for this? For vocals?
Awesome
I think we've all had that moment though.
Welp. Someone tell King Arthur that Uther is evil.(more evil than)
Is it just me or does he sound kinda like Tim Curry?
He says "can't we just go home shi and forget this dreadful night" it does sound like cheyenne but her name is shilo
