I kept thinking that it is weird thinking that gangsters like this actually existed in the 80's - and today. What a crazy life it must be waking up and not knowing if you'll see tomorrow.
There are still gangsters like that today. All around the world. In America we still have drug trades and prostitution is still very high, especially around Ohio. There's also the Mexican drug cartels still being very active, warlords in africa, Somalian and other nationality pirates, nation-state that are undergoing armed conflict. It must be mice, the life you live. Cherish it while you can.
simonstrane Is this really so hard to believe? You know WHY the 15 minutes of fame people do it(school shooters, gangsters, mass murderers), but that doesn't do justice, for you at least.
Aron Olen I wasn't comparing them, I was giving real world examples of the types of people that commit brutal crimes right now as we speak. Also, The general that was leading 50 blessings and his recruitment styles are similar enough to real world warlords for the point I was making.
+Uber D really it was a bar? I thought it was their house or something. Or just play this at a get together with your freinds while you lounge around on couches or something.
its kind of odd that Hotline Miami is associated with new retro wave music even though not many songs in the game really are, plus most of the game takes place in the 90's, maybe the art style (which i love) is an exaggerated 80's neon. what ever the case its truly unique.
Gamma 144 and Hotline Miami 2 is much more dark and depressing, because the main characters are in a downward spiral, not knowing what's looming over them. Me and Jacket just didnt care, I was in it for the fun and games, Jacket was in it for revenge.
Light Club's tunes are really a cool oddity. They have this playful amateurism to them, where the different components are just slightly skewed and off-kilter (as if he played every single part of the track himself, instead of creating loops). And the progression throughout is really neat; with these more chill tracks in the beginning, and then culminating in Fahkeet, which is definitely very intense, but still has that altered quality to it
As for me, Fans are the most badass characters in the whole game (apart from Jacket himself). And the fact that Fans considered themselves as disciples of Jacket makes them even more awesome
