I'd love to see a city builder in the tiberium universe, where you have to slowly convert a yellow zone into a blue zone. Would be amazing.

I feel like C&C is a sleeping giant of a i.p, all it would take is one really good modern rpg/fps title for it to explode in popularity. I also think it would make for a killer t.v show.
ikr, its a setting that's blistering with interesting opportunities and corners to explore. Having a real RPG with factions like New Vegas with the environmental hostility of Stalker would be pure fucking hype. I'd love one set between Tib Sun and Tib Wars because you'd get the best of both worlds with the Old technology from Tib sun clashing with the new stuff from Tib wars. You can have rusted GDI walkers, Forgotten Mutants, Scattered Nod Forces and abandoned underground installations, multiple kinds of tiberium and even observe Tiberium change from plant to mineral, and you'll be able to observe what people think of the factions on the ground. Contrast the smug elitism of GDI with the religious fanaticism of Nod and the pure desperation of the forgotten as they duke it out on whatever landscape we're set on.
Except EA own it, they ruined it to begin with, they would ruin it even more.

@@triplehelix3207 read the ama on reddit with ken cucan, the original CNC team (Westwood) had really fantastic ideas for the universe, EA homogenised it.
C&C could probably pull people again with a non-RTS spin off.
The EA made by C&C had very short production time limit with the longest just around 1 and a half year for RA 3, while Starcraft 2 had more than 3 years.
Such short time limit may not be sufficient RTS, but could suffice for FPS or other genre.
I wish we could have a sequel to C&C3, would be interesting to see how the story progress.
Well technically there is a sequel but most people in the C&C community don't consider it canon. So I just left it out of the video.

I’ll be honest, I like how everyone who introduces Kane calls him ‘the charismatic leader, Kane’. I can’t be sure if it’s meant to be an inside joke among C&C fans, or a actual respect for the franchise, or both. Also, glad that C&C4 wasn’t mentioned. That was not a true successor, though God knows I’ve tried my best to make it work.

it was how he was introduced in the first C&C game and just stuck with everyone since it was a big introduction. on the GDI campaign just he is the charismatic leader known as kane who leads the brotherhood of nod, and during the nod campaign he just shoots a guy who was ordering you around and then gives you command directly, those 2 alone is a massive impact to remember him
i just love the fact that im not entirely sure on which side i stand.. on one side, tiberium sounds truly fucking awful and i want GDI to save us from it, but on the other hand... what if we decided to use it to become a better species, to use it to elevate human kind? Kane has me sold on the positives of it, while GDI has me sold on the negatives.. honestly i think its one of the only wars that games have presented that i have no idea which side i stand on from a lore-perspective, and that is amazing.

Given the strength of a basic mining security team, and the fact that it was one of a very numerous many, I’d say it wouldn’t be that fun to see actual military combat between humans and a possibly galaxy spanning alien menace using their true weapons.
out of all the factions in the C&C franchise, the Forgotten are the most underrepresented, think you could do us all a favour and make a video with all that you can on the Mutants and their ways of life?
I might in the future but another creator, NoStringsPrd, has already done a video covering the Forgotten. So I don't want to just repeat all that he has said in that video.

I personally think the Forgotten needed more time in the limelight with how they factor into the setting, particularly the way that they're ostracized by GDI and Nod alike and it's even more tragic in that they didn't ask for this kind of thing.
Listening to these GDI's archive, it makes me wonder what if there's an RPG that sets in a Yellow Zone, and our protagonist is on a quest to find cure for his or his family's Tiberium poisoning, which led to him eventually joining either GDI or Nod or (depending on him getting heavily mutated) the Forgotten Mutants.
There was once a CNC rpg but was cancelled by EA Westwood was making it b4

I remember reading that there was actually conflicting stories regarding the naming of Tiberium(possibly intentionally) with Kane claiming he had named it after Caesars name of Tiberius. Other sources claimed it was named after the Tiber River near where it was first discovered by most of the world.

It has been confirmed in Lore that Nod indeed were the first to discover Tiberium BUT in secret.
I didn't much like the games or cheesy story but the lore is some of the most fascinating stuff about the series. Could you imagine how hopeless everyone must be knowing that their efforts to stop the crystal is nearly futile.
Shame that then they made C&C4 and basically disregarded all the lore (that they themselves had even built upon in C&C3, which found a way to accommodate the C&C2 lore with the zone system, even if it didn't fully respect it), ultimately deciding that tthe best course of action was to hand-wave away what happened at the end of C&C3, saying GDI cleared the entire planet of tiberium and tiberium-based-life off-screen (so turns out GDi are genocidal afterall, eh? Maybe Kane was right in C&C1. Poor mutants.) in between the games, and the the Scrin basically forgetting that they were ever planning a force for a second invasion. Also, turns out Kane's Ascension for the brotherhood is basically just walking into a long-range Star Trek-style transporter to go to some other place in the galaxy. A little bit underwhelming (though, certainly has potential) considering the four(/five, let's not forget RA1 is a prequel) game build-up to it.
Yeah. Great way to blow a series with incredibly well designed and thought out lore EA on some rushed cash-in shovel-ware. Couldn't even be bothered to make the gameplay better than any old average game (and not even a C&C one, wasn't even a true RTS). Sad times.

I heard that the Scrin need a certain amount of Tiberium on a planet to even function, that's why they didn't invade Earth. All of Tiberium was beamed away by their tower just in the nick of time.
It was the TCN hubs that were doing that with the tiberium cleanup from what I remember, which were based on the tacitus and seemingly used to fill up the threshold tower enough that it would activate its portal again. But yeah having all of that off screen and "welp, tiberium is gone now isn't this great?"
The worst thing was that C&C was the end part for 15 year old series that was released as Starcraft 2 was released and not only did it fail as a proper ending, but also fail as a C&C game.
At best, it should had been a free-to-play spin-off game to the main timeline C&C.

@@NAGATO2044 Hm..well WH40k would definitely be a 10 or 12 lol. Overall I'd say Tiberium universe is a 6 or 7. So a little above average. I think Tiberian Sun was definitely the most apocalyptic of the games. Tiberium Wars was toned it back.
We almost did, but EA shot that idea in the foot a long time ago (yet they thought C&C4 was a good idea? Uh-huh). For now the closest we'll get, and probably will ever get, is Renegade. Which is decent enough as a shooter, but lacks any substance beyond that. Gameplay was fun, the actual story, rather generic.

As much as people hate on C&C4 gameplay-wise and in game story-wise, i actually liked that it both gave you an aftermath glimpse of both what happened with the Scrin (global tiberium devastation akin to Tib Sun but worse) and that the Tacitus finally had an actual honest to god reason to exist: the Tiberium Control Network. The rest of it, well we all know how people feel about it.

13:00 The Threshold Tower was not destroyed. As you know, Nod ferociously defended it along with Scrin forces. GDI couldn't get near the structure, and when they finally did, it was indestructible. It was the Scrin's CONTROL NODE that was destroyed by GDI Scrin managed to nearly escape from.

@@EnzoLay_TheUmbraPonyGuardian As I said, if you play from my time stamp, he claims the Scrin managed to escape through "one of the Scrin Towers before it was destroyed." Many were destroyed, but Threshold 19 remained standing thanks to Nod's intervention.
If I recall correctly, the Scrin cannot retreat unless they have an ACTIVE Threshold tower, and GDI was destroying their towers, forcing a Scrin "commander" to defend Threshold 19 until its completion, allowing Scrin to retreat through the now un-destroyable tower.
He specifically said that one of the towers was intact and in the hands of NOD.

As someone who has played the c&c games from the start. I have to give you credit on these lore videos very well done
There are 2 Dislikes, It was probably the Scrin and hassan
I think the interesting part about why Scrin thought they would easily take over is because the planet's species would usually be extinct by the time of the bloom or even if they survive, the mining force's weapons would easily take out whatever was native to the planet.
But humans decided to fight over the Tiberium and develop advanced weaponry. That plus the issues with a much larger populace than expected due to a false bloom allow humans to drive the Scrin back.
Re-visiting the early videos after watching the new ones from Jethild & No Strings Prd!

@Brennan Lu Even if it came from Aliens, I bet the problem could be solved much more faster if GDI and NOD were not fighting each other as both sides have some scientific knowledge that the other does not or is yet to discover so they copy each other
Sometimes in life we cannot control what comes to us but once it comes to us we can find a way on what to do with it

Think about it if CABAL would fight the Scrin, this AI had a prototype called Core Defender in Firestorm and had it gone into "series" the Scrins would never have been able to build any of the towers. The Scrins would not have survived even a massive invasion.
I think the Avatar is meant to be the continuation of the Core Defender

I love how the first discription of tiberium was nonsensical gibberish that even a high school chemistry student would find hilarious
The original Command and Conquer was set around 2000 or so, Tiberium was new on Earth but had quickly started to spread around the globe, Tiberium trading. air currents and nod were aiding in this spread but the world was not yet polluted or uninhabitable, but by 2030 humanity was on the verge of extinction, and no Tiberium Twilight is not canon and does not exist.

I would love so much for there to be a real C&C 4 that deals with the Scrin invasion with a (at least temporary?) full partnership between GDI and the Brotherhood of Nod with a scenario of the Scrin having swiftly eliminated a majority of GDI's leadership and seemingly killed Kane requiring another 'unholy alliance' like during the Firestorm Crisis between Paul Cortez and Anton Slavik against CABAL but on a longer scale. As for the Scrin side, I feel like, despite the 'insubordination', they would bring back Foreman 371 in an advisory, or even reinstated, position to the invasion since the foreman has experience fighting both human factions.

I would buy an FPS game similar to that of Fallout with stories set in the Tiberium Universe.
Tiberium universe is perfectly set up to have a Fallout styled game made with it. Basically just do Fallout: New Vegas + C&C Tiberium. Can have GDI, Nod, and the Forgotten as the major factions for the player to choose to support for the end game.

I know this video is old, and I am just rewatching it. But I can't help to notice that you mentioned the First Tib War as on 1995. However, based on findings by No Strings Prd, The First Tiberium War happened in 2019/2020. He has a video on that!

EAs mistake with Kane’s wrath is to make it a nod only game without letting players play as GDI or scrin.
I hoped they made one last massive game that could tie together the Scrinsaga and trainwreck of Tiberium Twilight.
The Scrin launch a massive invasion with a scrininfused Kane as a commander, who have his own agenda.
The way I see it we keep three fractions but they split them into two subfractions.
All having diffrent endings.
GDI
Main Army
Using heavy tanks and long range weapons
Ending:
The Scrinforces are eradicated and Kane is killed by the Ion Cannon.
NOD high command is totally destroyed and the forces dispand while Legion is destroyed by a virus.
GDI absorb all areas of earth and use the Mutants to clean up the planet.
The Mutants
Use tiberiuminfused stealthunits and controlled animals
Ending:
Destroy the Scrin hivecommanders and takes Kane prisoner in a stasischamber to mindcontrol the surviving creatures as workerdrones.
NOD survivors surender and are orderd to destroy all tiberiumfields, a task that turn most of them into mutants and Legion is shut down after its powernods are blown up.
GDI agree to help the mutants to be cured and a UN-govermeant is formed by the high commands from both GDI and NOD.
NOD
NOD main army
Use heavy tiberium tanks and ICBM's
Ending:
Kane is called a heretic clone and is destroyed with an ICBM lauched at his main ship and the surviving Scrins escape into deep space, never to return.
GDI is dismantled and the Mutants are turned into a slavelaborforce.
NOD dominate all of mankind where tiberium is worshiped and Legion is changed into a new kind of internet/Skynet system.
Legion
Use a fully mechanized cyborgarmy.
Ending:
It don't veiw the Scrinarmy as real problem and let them mine tiberium and use Kane's body as it's voice.
GDI and the mutants are totally destroyed without mercy.
NOD survivors and the remaining humans are forced to become cyborgs and Legion, now the hivemind of everyone, rules a heavy industrial polluted planet til the end of days.
Scrin
Main invasionarmy
Use same kind of creatures we saw in Tiberium Wars but only focus on destruction
Ending:
All human fleshcreatures are eradicated and the traitor Kane is eaten by the main Scrin commander.
Legion escapes into deep space on a ship with the Tacitus to find a planet to colonize.
Earth is totally mined for tiberium until it is a dry and lifeless husk.
Kane's insurection
Use the Marked of Kane and the forces of the Black Hand who belive him to be the ruturned Jesus
Ending:
The Scrin high command is destroyed and the remaining aliens scatter and flee into deep space
Legion is brought back in the fold and is used to unlock the Tacitus and begin to find new worlds to invade.
GDI and the Mutants are used for tiberiumexperiments.
The NOD survivors are given the choise to join him in ascension because just like the messiah, "the true belivers shall never die".
"Those who that have fallen from the path shall all be purged!"

Again, I think Global Conquest is a Choose Your Own Ending to this story that starts in 2053. GDI brings Steel Talons out of mothballs for frontline firepower in cooperation with ZOCOM to combat the Scrin in Red Zones, the seizing of the Tacitus sparks a new age in the Brotherhood with the Black Hand to purify the world for the next stage of evolution with legions of the Marked of Kane while Reaper-17 brings its overwhelming firepower with Traveler-59 subsuming humanity from the inside out.

I hope the good will and interest the remaster raised makes EA rethink this franchise. I'm pretty sure no one would bemoan making "Command And Conquer - Tiberium Ascension" and (as I'm feeling charitable) mining Twilight for what few good world building ideas it had and the gameplay loop of the crawlers (as a secondary thing, like the mobile war factories were) then ejecting the story, execution and remaining gameplay out of a airlock.

A true ending for the game series, a traditional RTS game called "Command & Conquer : Tiberium Homeworld" with branching stories :
- Become part of GDI, defeat or subdue NOD, and go to Scrin's homeworld to destroy Scrin and end the tiberium threat
- Become part of NOD, defeat or subdue GDI, and go to Scrin's homeworld to destroy Scrin and repurpose tiberium usages
- Become part of Scrin, launch a full scale invasion to GDI and NOD's homeworld earth, destroy both GDI and NOD and dominate the planet
How come that there are so many centers of Tiberium? Since it originated in Italy, shouldn't it spread from there onwards?

Amazing creation and start but everything ended not very well in the 4th installment of the series, Tiberium Twilight did not explain clearly the fate of the alien crystals would eventually be on earth, instead of Kane had himself traveled into a portal built by the Scrin for the true purpose of Ascension and ultimately learnings of Tacitus.
This sounds similar to No Strings Prd's What is Tuberium? REMASTERED - Command & Conquer Lore.

sadly cec never actualy returns i wanted a remaster for the second game i like the remaster for the first 2 ones but for me the gold of the two series was red alert 2 and tiberian sun
5:46 - the first tiberium war was 2019-2021 - No String Prd did a video roughly a year ago on this (roughly 3 months after this video), searching for canon sources on when the first tiberium war was - a combination of a report in the manual from C&C Renegade dated 2019 from EVA to the commando + other corroborating statements (such as Killian's reference to exposing GDI in 2019) cement this timeline.
Yeah this video was made before he made that video.

I used to play a shit ton out of cnc when I was way younger unfortunately a lot of the games I had where lost but I still have cnc 3 kanes wrath and I decided to play it recently was amazing to play and a big time nostalgia rush so here I am interested in the lore now

I would say I begrudgingly consider it cannon. But I also know that a majority of the community doesn't, and would prefer that the game not exist to begin with. So I choose not to include it in these lore videos. If I did decide to eventually cover events in that game, then I would create an entirely separate playlist for it.
I think treating C&C 4 as a separate branching timeline to the main Tiberium timeline is a good middle ground between acknowledging it's existence, while also keeping it separate from the other games.
@@Jethild CnC4 is canon regardless if we like it or not. Not talking about it just makes us look more petty. Besides the story itself isn't that terrible, just the game play is. So I would do it.

I felt that Kane is inspired by the Bosnian leader Alivey İzzet Begoviç as because the game was produced at the time of the BosnianxSerbian war and the collapse of Yugoslavia. It looks like producers heavily influenced by the news of the conflict and sensed that there is a charm in the struggle of a deprived religious resistance with a religious leader aganist a high tech secular army.

While I personally don't have an issue with making longer form video content, according to my channel analytics, most people don't tend to stick around to finish watching those kinds of longer videos. I also do plan on eventually getting around to doing some lore videos related to the Generals universe.

That has been retconned by Westwood, originally GDI was formed during Desert Storm however the new lore was that GDI foundation came from the Allies fighting the Soviets in WWII.
@@Seriona1 and what about Iraq's involvement in RA2 given that it was the Baathist flag they used in that game for Iraq? I know it's an obscure tiny piece of lore, but doesn't it mean Saddam was with the Soviets?
@@livingweaponnightmare Well Westwood did not exactly do any research into what maps and nations should be period correct during the era's these games take place in. For example, during CnC version of WWII, they used a modern map pre 90's when it should look like the world before WWII. Now because of the Soviets instead of the Axis being the bad guys, thus RA2 map should still be the same. An example is that it shows both Korea's existing when technically at this point, it would be fair to assume that Japan was neutral during WWII and thus Korea should still be part of Japan. As for the Iraqi flag problem, Saddam's dad was in charge of Iraq during WWII and had pro Axis views, I would assume with the Soviets being the bad guys that Iraq would of stayed with UK and thus fought the Soviets and there for never would of been removed from power and there for the original Iraqi flag would be the correct flag.
