I love that you can see how much fun she’s having behind the kick. Those subtle smiles after each fill or once she kicks into a groove. Very entertaining to watch joy matched with technical skill.

I believe it's mostly, if not all, Byzance series. I know her ride is an extra dry and I believe her hats are too, looks like she also has a dual crash and a dark crash all from the MEINL byzance series. One thing's for sure: I want them all lmao
Meinl makes some great cymbals.
@@robintarket6844 hats are two extra dry 18" crashes I think, 2 extra dry crash’s, one dual crash, with a 6 inch traditional splash, 10" extra dry splash, the stack up top looks like a 10 inch pure alloy splash on top of the generation x china, 12", 22" Extra Dry Ride, Anika’s signature Deep Hats.
I've played/taught Piano for 30 years among multiple other instruments. I just want to thank her for re-kindling my passion for the percussion kit! Never had those skills, but I will try again thanks to you Anika!
That's great that you want to revisit the kit. So many great drummers out there to fuel inspiration and creativity. This ladies playing is fantastic. I definitely urge you to jump behind that kit and finesse the hell out of it!

To this point she's one of the most talented drummers I've seen on CZcams. Comparing drummers is pointless, because every great musician should have their own signature sound/style/techniques. She most definitely has a very cool personal style and some brilliant techniques of her own.
Her handwork is mesmerizing, but there's something in her footwork as well that I can't put my finger on. Her timing is absolutely spot on, but thanks to her sense of rhytm and musicality it never sounds like a boring lifeless drum machine.
This composition is also immensely musical, and it's just a joy to listen to.
She is really a badass drummer. Soo much time control and speed.

The name of the song Synergy is such a Fitting name.. Because ever time i have listened, it has this energy that nearly brings me to tears. I don't know why, and i don't want to know why.. Because it feels good to me.. In a happy way.

+Martin Bohl Im not so sure about that man they have to at least be 15 or maybe even 16 inches and i only say that because i have that same 10" extra dry splash next to my extra dry hats and in comparison her hats are much larger in her overhead shots then they are in mine
They are bigger than normal. She uses 15s a lot. She also uses the mapex falcoln pedal. I just got it a few months ago and it's the best pedal I've tried of any.
Beautiful AND insanely talented. I'm in love. Also, her, Benny, Marco and Thomas (to name just a few)...the amount of stupidly good drummers per capita in Germany is quite something.

Dayum!!! Sweet groove, great playing. I'm 59 and retired and just started playing drums after playing keyboard most of my life. Makes me want an acoustic set instead of my electronic one. Only good thing about it is I can play through headphones and neighbors won't hear how bad I am!

Well, colour me schooled ! Wonderful display of excellence young lady.
You know, after watching this for years, I noticed some ear candy I never heard before. At 3:11, that groove for a few bars has some solid timing work with the snare hit and ride 1/16th apart. That ride groove is so simple but groovy. That girl has some solid playing chops. 👏
