- For those thinking about making a new alt outside of the Breaker with the next powerpass I thought I'd share some reasons why the Pistoleer is my main.

I saw someone use full swift pistoleer, what you think bout it?
I think it's a really really bad idea. All of your damage comes from specialization scaling the crit damage on handgun skills. Your uptime on all of your skills is already constant. There's very rarely downtime on your skills if you're using spacebar, quick recharges, and c/j properly. Unless with T4 they completely change the scaling of the class... swiftness will always do significantly less than a spec Pistoleer.

Don't go down this rabbit hole.
Yes, it's fun, but only untill you start getting gatekept because "your class deals no damage" or "between you and other class, I rather pick the other one" or "even though you have lv10 gems, a F Slayer/Glavier/Soulfist/Soul Eater, with lv5-lv7 gems deals more damage than you with less effort" or when not finding usable (not BiS) class accessories. For example, on SA server it's tough to find accessories for any non popular classes. Pistoleer without lv3 engraving is basically a dead player.
It's not that cheap to build, because you need lv9-10 on several skills to actually do ACCEPTABLE, not good, not awesome, not superb, ACCEPTABLE... Even then you're highly replaceable. Also you're a spec/crit class. All your accessories will be expensive, unless you're lucky. Only one engraving is the "cheap" one in your build, which is precise dagger, but it's not common to find decent pieces to buy.
I do love Pistoleer. I like how it players and the only reason I didn't change it sooner it was because I hate female classes and the other male classes are soooooo boring and unappealing. I hope Breaker comes to change that dynamic. If yes, I'll use every resouse I have to main swap to Breaker.
But if you really want to play this class, my personal recommendation is to go with swift/spec neck and crit/spec on bracelet. Yes, you'll have a bit less crit, but you'll still get about 79 ~ 81% crit chance. The swiftness on neck helps a LOT to speed up the cluncky animations and slow movement. Spacebar identity is not enough to make it feel good.
Thanks for taking the time to comment all of this Jose. To respond to some of the things. For context, I am a 1625 Pistoleer main. Been playing Pistoleer for 2 years now, even when it was F Tier.
* Having to buy Spec accessories and having Precise Dagger as an option for that will always make it an insanely cheap build comparably. I did my 5x3+1 on my main for about 20k gold. And did the Raid Captain 5x3+1 on my alt Pistoleer for about 35k (which was done just recently when we lost engraving support).
* Going Spec/Swift on the neck doesn't make any sense at all. You need 90%+ crit since all of your damage comes from the Crit Damage scaling you get from Spec. If your build feels sluggish the only reason I could see for that is if you're going Mass Increase, which isn't what I'd recommend. The only two builds that make sense and feel great are Cursed Doll or Raid Captain as the 5th engraving then Propulsion > Ether for +1/+2.
I'll have a full 2.0 guide put out soon that will provide all that I know. Hopefully you'll check it out and leave another message for me.
No wonder you deal zdps if you go swift neck. All your dmg comes from critting. If you do not crit your spec is worthless. The really high crit rate needed is the reason we play PD and adrenaline in the first place and you ruin it going swift neck.

These players are a joke. 😂 There is nothing to do with the poor balacing of this game where a breaker with lv5 gems deal more damage than pistoleer with lv10s. I mean, I know what you're doing and where you're comming from. Get a higher grade bait next time.
