- Today we discuss my 10 favourite tracks in CTR Nitro-Fueled! This game has changed the way super turbo pads work and have reworked nearly every Crash Nitro Kart track. So I thought, lets re-do the top 5 tracks video I did for CTR and CNK. So today we have my top 10 tracks in Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled.

@@Danka0199 you should look into the chicken conspiracy. There's a door in the ruins hubworld positioned perfectly to open a new area and it might open something. Additionally, there seems to be at least one chicken in every stage. It's a fun topic!
@@benshapirohamburgerhelper1239 Yeah, I've noticed the chicken a fair few times, in Papu's cutscene, Cortex Castle and a few other times. I saw a screenshot in data-mined files of a racer named "King Chicken"... interesting

The hardest track will always be Dragon Mines. I also agree that Electron Avenue being the best track of the bunch and Sewer Speedway becoming one of the most hated when it was a fan favorite in the original.
I feel like i'm the only online that votes for dragon mines online. I love the track!
@@Danka0199 I also love dragon mines, it's one of the hardest tracks just because of that one rotation that's even harder than papu pyramids that needed consistent quickk U-turns. Pretty rewarding if you do it perfectly though since you get to keep your fire.

I love how Nitro Fueled makes the tracks from Nitro Kart actually feel like what that game's name implies. Almost all of those have a strategically placed super turbo pad that let you keep the boost going if you're skilled enough
Slide Coliseum felt more fun than the original, mainly because of the dancing holograms.
Yeah, I typically only glance at the track and spend more time looking at Ami's hologram being really hyperactive, and Megumi ironically the slowest.

When I play online with this track, I am almost always at the top of the heap, even against experienced players! And by the way, I found out about that shortcut all on my own without the need of videos on CZcams. IT WAS SO WORTH IT!
I love how the track doesn't even look in the same ball park as the original. It's five thousand times more badass with all the neon and signs everywhere, the fact that the sky is a darkish purple, and that super jump at the beginning as the music begins? THAT NEVER STOPS GIVING ME CHILLS!

My taste in music is very odd, though. I'm currently listening to a Twinsanity music track that I believe would've fit perfectly with Gone a Bit Coco if it made it into the final version of the game.

Very good list, and quite a few agreements. On a whole, the CNK tracks are improved a million times over in the remake. Conforming them to CTR's style was the best decision Beenox could have made.

I never played ctr as a kid (only played it A LOT through an emulator a few months before CTR:NF came out) but i played cnk a ton so to see a cnk track be held in such high regard nowadays just makes me happy

Papu's Pyramid is still my favorite track. It's just so technical map and mastering the shortcuts and the pyramid part is so satisfying. I do love USF maps such as Hot Air Skyway and N. Gin Labs too

I'm not really a huge fan of the cnk tracks-
My Personal Top 10
10: Tiny Arena (I LOVE what Beenox did to this track. And you can't go wrong with the Holographic Heavy Metal Tiny!)
9: Cortex Castle (References upon references everywhere! only reason it's lower than my next one is because I often have trouble with the tight turns)
8: N Gin Labs (Riddled with References to the N Sane Trilogy, while you wouldn't notice them racing regularly, but there's a lot to see and it's awesome)
7: Oxide Station (A very cool track... would have been cooler if it was a parking lot though)
6: Android Alley (The Atmosphere really does it for me here, and I always love busting through the window)
5: Polar Pass (I really enjoy this one, especially jumping the fence. It's funny because at one point in my life I used to hate this track, but now I love it)
4: Deep Sea Driving (I can go absurd speeds in this track, whereas before in Nitro Kart, this was actually my least favorite track)
3: Hot Air Skyway (Always was my favorite track in CTR. And Maintaining USF on That "FOIST" jump = BLISS)
2: Electron Avenue (This track is absolutely crazy and Fun! And online it gives lots of Wumpa Coins, and you can't go wrong with that CRAZY Jump at the start!)
1: Thunder Struck (my all-time favorite mainly due to the creepy atmosphere and awesome Music, I love playing speedy characters here)

It is really hard to narrow down a list because there are maybe only 2-3 tracks i don't like.
Sewer speedway used to be my favourite track but now it's ruined.
My top 5 would be Electron avenue, Papu's Pyramids, Deep Sea Driving, Hot Air Skyway and number 1 is N.Gins Labs
Yeah, since there are SO much tracks this time around + more getting added soon makes it hard to choose the best 10. I agree though. Sewer Speedway is really annoying now with that shortcut. I hope they fix it with an update.

@@dusk5984 If you haven't bought any of the nitro-squad bundles I'd recommend doing so as the N. Trance one might show up. I haven't seen N. Trance outside of that bundle before.

Oxide station is the hardest for sure. N tropy’s ghost on the track is so difficult.
I thought it wasn't too hard tbh. I struggled with Crash Cove the most with Oxide's ghost

I love the aesthetic of Tiger Temple in Nitro-fueled. They track layout itself doesn't really do it for me. But the look of it is superb!
I love Tiger Temple mainly because of the shortcut, the opportunities for jumps and turns, and because I'm really good at it.

I’d love to see a video on you discussing Character Classes and which are the best in your opinion. I’ve seen opinions that class choice is based on track, and others say (insert class name here) is truly the best in all scenarios. I just want to see you opinion.
There's not much to say but speed class is always the better option for those who can control it. Acceleration is good to get used to speed characters on certain tracks
I have about the same as you except the only one that would be missing is tiny arena for me. Mine would be 1. Hot Air, 2 Hyper, 3. Electron, 4 Tiny arena, 5 Polar. Good list.
The main reason I love Tiny Arena is the wumpa coin multiplier for it. YOU GET SO MUCH!!

I don't not like assembly lane. It is my least favourite track, I just say I don't like it because every time I play it I get really unlucky with people using powerups xD

Haha, that's funny you threw out the hatred of Assembly Lane right at the start. The aesthetics of the track are ass cheeks which I think is by design as a grimy and disgusting pollution ridden factory planet, but it's actually one of my favorite tracks to play online. The wall hop shortcut, the conveyor belt, and the platform through the fence give tons of places to add to your time ahead (or fuck you up massively) and I'm a monster who saves traps to place on the platform or conveyor belt every lap. It's not that fun against bots because it's just one of those levels where shortcuts make it too easy against AI, but in competitive lobbies it gets crazy and I vote for it nearly every time as a result.
I actually don't hate it. I just get super unlucky online on it xD. And I will admit, I am also a sweaty player on that track that places nitro crates and beakers on the shortcut before the final jump xD

Very surprised HAS is no longer your favorite. But Electron Avenue is a great replacement. That and Android Ally are probably my favorite courses in the game. I do find myself liking the CNK tracks more than the CTR ones. But this game has some great tracks.

hardest track is easily dragon mines especially when trying to beat oxide. i beat his ghost on oxide station in 3 tries but dragon mines took me over 50
Tbh, the hardest track for me on the oxide ghost times was Crash Cove, Dragon Mines can be easier if you maintain a boost and keep jumping through the shortcut

What's wrong with assembly lane? I love the visuals, the shortcuts are fun to pull off, and the soundtrack still makes it feel serious yet that of a factory.

@@Danka0199 you should learn about U-TURN.
You basically go to the D-pad, hold Down, Square and the direction arrow on which way you want to go. You can make 90° turns VERY easilly, or sometimes even 180° turns.

Just have 2 tracks left on the N.Oxide Time Trials. Still can't maintain USF for 2 whole laps on Tiny Temple. And there's an obnoxious amount of things that can wreck your boost in Deep Sea Driving. Oh well, better keep practicing.
Dude this is exactly my list of favorites too, wtf. Honorable mentions, papu's pyramid, sewer speedway and twilight tour. Now all i need is evilocity, fosil fuel injection, labrea car pits and tiki fucking turbo. (Also all the costumes from tag team, crash's first vechile (That bike/car thing) plus a twinsanity model for crash, we got retro crash, now give me the best he's ever looked)
Also add Nina, Koala, N. Brio and Velo. Fix the pit stop like square eyed jak said (Just don't fucking add microtransactions) some other minor glitches and THIS fucking shit:

Cnk is still bad btw, with only good things being presentation and Velo. Tag team is mediocre at worst, it had good racing but it was overwhelmed by stupid bullshit. And also, crash twinsanity both deserves and needs a re-imagine. Crash 1 needed it and it's here, ctr deserved it and it's here. Now fucking re-imagine twinsanity and we go from there. We either make twinsanity 2 and cortex chaos (coz the ideas for these 2 games are fucking brilliant and if some oxford studios devs help make the games, they'll be some of the best we've ever played) or something completely new.
I can't stand Hyper Spaceway, Dragon Mines or Electron Avenue...
My favorites are definately Roo's Tubes, Android Alley and Jungle Boogie.

Man I hope they didn't nurf thunderstruck shortcut. It is the only equalizer against the shifty boost (slide-boost) (try as I might I am come in 8th against bots on easy without hitting a wall or loose boost bad at the shifty boost) on that map.

Assembly Lane isn't the worst. Now Dragon Mines, that is truly the worst, least favourite track in the game, sharp turns that are too difficult to pull off and maintain your speed, and a totally pointless shortcut that wastes time rather than saves it, truly awful.
I love dragon mines! I love how different it is to the other tracks and how it makes you change up your gameplay style. If you have SF and consantly jump, the shortcut is actually reliable. Its a very different track, thats why I love it
Wow I wasn't expecting a reply lol :) yeah I probably just haven't mastered maintaining SF before the shortcut as I hardly attempt it to be honest, guess I'll have to keep practicing it as I suppose the shortcut is required for Oxide's ghost. Pretty much all the other tracks I'm good on though.
I'm disappointed that Out of Time and Android Valley didn't make the cut.
I don't mind Out of Time. I like Android Alley but I wish there was some super turbo pads on the track to make it a lot faster.
@@Danka0199 Out of time jas super turbo pads. I like it because is a simple and good looking track. Android valley doesn't have a super turbo pad but is very well designed and looks really good

@@Danka0199 I get it, most of the tracks in NF are fucking dope. But there are some that rub me the wrong way. IE Out of Time, Android Alley. Heck, even Barin Ruins seems kinda eh for me, but I might just be blinded by CNK nostalgia for that last one. Assembly Lane is the only objectively bad one, but I'd still love to see it because it'd put you in a tough spot.
Crash Team Racing and Crash Nitro Kart were my favourite childhood games in my younger days. Now, both of them combined into Crash Team Racing: Nitro Fueled. Even i did not buy CTR:NF(because i don't own a PS4), these are my top 10 favourite tracks:
10. Mystery Caves
In between track. I like how the lava balls keep jumping up and down. When I saw the remake of this track, It looks more like an Indiana Jones vibe. Not only that, the launching pads changed into turtles.
9. Tiny Arena
Lots of sharp turns and a few mud pits. The remake is awesome. It's like Tiny owns the arena. Not only that, it feels more like a monster truck running in deep mud while the audience is cheering. Plus, it has a lot of of pictures and emblems representing the promotion for each tracks.
8. Clockwork Wumpa
A fast paced track. Lots of shortcuts and one trap door. The remake is great because it feels like we're inside a clockwork castle.
7. Oxide Station.
Just like you said, one super turbo pads and lots of sharp turns. The remake for OS, it feel like I'm in space and experiencing gravity.
6. N.GIn Labs
High speed turbo track I would like to call and a good music to it. The remake is beautiful. It feels like N.Gin really own his private lab.
5. Thunder Struck
The highest difficulty race track in CNK. Lots of maintaining speed boost, bumpy tracks and hammer falls. The remake for TS is much more sinister evil vibe.
4. Polar Pass
Super fast track and hard to maintain speed boost. A vibe of Polar's birth mark at his own home when the remake released.
3. Cortex Castle
Greatest design in the remake, lots of banner and glass illustration referring to Cortex and his minions. Also, the second hardest in CTR due to sharp turns and falling spiders.
2. Electron Avenue
Same level as Hot Air Skyway. Tough shortcuts and sharp turns. I am absolutely agree with about the design. Futuristic, glowing neon, it feels like we're in future city in 23rd century.
1. Hot Air Skyway
Sorry, Danka, it is my favourite top ten favourite tracks. It has lots of sharp turns and almost no rails in between tracks, it will make you fall when power sliding. The shortcut is too hard even for me when power sliding. But the remake is fantastic. The layout for this track is Pinstripe really own this turf, lots of balloons and mafia like theme. It is the hardest track in CTR.
These are my top 10 favourite tracks. By the way, its a long list with details because I spend almost two hours typing it. That said, stay cool, keep your head high and keep it up Danka.
