    Amazing stuff right here. This is probably the only video that explains this job at the moment. Thanks a lot!

      Hello. Thank you for posting your question. You need to take the car to an alignment shop to get it done right.
      Let me know if you have any other questions.
      Have a great day.

    I’m writing this here because I hope you see this a lot quicker. I have an 01 Honda Civic Ex and the other week it started acting up really bad. I couldn’t go faster then about 15 mph and if I tried to go any higher it would rev bomb. No smoke from the hood, no weird noises, no weird movements of my car. It just seems like it won’t change gears…
    I’m taking it to a mechanic shop near me “Father and Son transmission specialist” in Whittier C.A. but my only concern is that I don’t want to get ripped off. Any thoughts?

      Thank you for posting your question here. I am sorry to hear that you are experiencing problems with your car. My first advice is to check the catalytic converted to make sure that is not restricted. I have a video that shows how to do it.

      Hello. Do you have a check engine light on? If you do check that first.
      Keep me posted.

    Was this a 4x4 ? If not is the process any different for a 4x4

    • @gqautodiagnostics
      @gqautodiagnostics  Před rokem

      Great question! This was a 2 wheel drive. The process should be very similar for the 4x4. Keep me posted.

    Good video ! Very informative ..my issue is I bought a brand new rack and pinion 1996 Nissan Pathfinder installed it replaced copper crush washers top and bottom for high and low pressure lines and it's leaking everywhere tightened it as hard as I could any thoughts

    • @gqautodiagnostics
      @gqautodiagnostics  Před 2 lety +1

      Hello. I am sorry to hear that the new part is leaking. Inspect the lines fittings to make sure that they're in good condition. One more thing check that the old copper washers are not stuck on the pressure line.
      Keep me posted.

      @@gqautodiagnostics ok I will for sure we spent all day removing and installing the thing so yeah for sure ..we really put some force on those bolts for high pressure and low pressure so idk and I know for sure the copper washers were removed and replaced with new ones but I didn't think about actually checking the lines themselves they could be bad

    • @roger2276
      @roger2276 Před 2 lety

      Did you ever make a video of reinstalling the rack and pinion? I ask because the low pressure line the rubber hose that was a real tough one to try and get it perfectly positioned you had to literally twist it with some channel locks so you could actually get the bolt in there that was a nightmare

    • @gqautodiagnostics
      @gqautodiagnostics  Před 2 lety +1

      @@roger2276 I just remembered, clean the area of the rack and pinion is leaking from then start the engine and look where is leaking from (I know it sounds obvious) because I had an experience where the leak was coming from the return hose factory clamp. It took me like 15min to figure it out. Keep me posted.

      @@gqautodiagnostics so my wife just ordered all new pressure lines the pressure one and the return line for like 300 hundred bucks total from parts geeks so wow it should be no and zero leaks now with a new rack and pinion also huh ?!
