How wild was that ending?
Very crazy they literally backed far up then the running back had a incredible run on 3rd and long.
Wild
I can't believe that Minnesota WR was able to get that left toe inbounds as he caught the game-tying TD
@@shauncameron8390Me either, very tough catch to make, he deserves all the praise he gets for it
Nebraska about to be 0 and 2.
Games like this are the reason I love college football.
Amen brother!
My takeaways:
- Nebraska still can’t win close games
- Minnesota’s qb has a really fun name to say
and husker qb cant throw
@@chrisriveraaa8668he can throw… to the defense. Like horribly decided throws.
Imagine when they go against a fast pace Buffs team? Scary times.. 😮😮😮
Gus Johnson's "Chicken Salad" call for the Nebraska TD pass was a perfect example why he's the best Football commentator!! GOAT
Yes can’t wait for his call of cu tcu
Gus Johnson makes every game sound way better than it is 😂 Go Gophers ❤️🎉
i love the new layout of the on-screen scoreboard. it really fits the college football theme.
It's way too busy and big, it distracts from the game
Its not busy, just the teams & their logos, game clock, qtr, play clock, downs. The basic. Espn has all these scores updates & announcements & special graphics & what nots, that is busy compared to this
@@tycrabapple9282agreed, the logos are too big and distracting. Looks like a tacky high school streaming scoreboard
I don't mind it. It show the teams logo and names, even though it is a little too big!
@@BudFuddlacker personally i feel like it’s more friendly towards ppl who don’t really know the teams. it has the name of the school, logo and mascot. i really like it, maybe it could be scaled down a little but overall, a good change imo
Unbelievable close game by Nebraska and Minnesota! GG to both teams last night!
What a TD catch by Jackson! Not necessarily a shocker as the headlines read. Gophers have beaten the Huskers 5 straight now.
How td did Nebraska manage to lose this game they had so many chances to end it without Minnesota even having a chance at the end
I don’t know, they should have kept the ball on the ground.
Notice the time they gave the Minnesota QB....Give Shedeur that much time and Nebraska will have a long day in Boulder🧐🧐
I’m saying! && he wouldn’t dare throw some of the balls these two QBs threw. Some of the interceptions were even close to the intended target. Like the last interception on sims. Triple coverage.. really? 🤦🏽♂️
This is peak Big 10 football. Hardnose staunch defense. Offense with sprinkles of ability, but mostly leaving you wanting. Crazy to think this is valued at 80/mill a school
Man I love Gus. Man I love CFB. Man I love watching Nebraska fans in tears 😭
The commentary was great and unbiased
Gus Johnson is the best. Wish he was a commentator for the SEC
The Nebraska QB can't throw without staring down the receiver. I'm surprised he didn't have 5 interceptions.
He seems to misread coverages as well. On that last INT, Minnesota was in a cover 1 look pre-snap, and the single high safety was sitting on that post pattern the whole way. Most QBs at this level would have seen that on their pre-snap read.
They're saving that for next weekend unfortunately
At least he’s not Shedeur Sanders 🗑️
I posted exactly the same thing. And he passed in to triple-coverage for that last one.
@@davisjohnson7691 Is that you trying to be funny? Because Sanders played on a different level to Sims today, against a better team.
I was at dinner with some colleagues on Thursday night - one of the guys was checking the scores on his phone and he said it was 10-3 Nebraska and Minnesota had 4th and 10 with two minutes left. We all said, half jokingly, that knowing Nebraska, they'll give up a touchdown on this play, then turn the ball over on offense, and lose on a field goal at the buzzer. Then he kept refreshing the score and all of those exact things happened one after the other.
Bruh 😫 Minnesota defense on another level and Nebraska offense gives up too many turnovers. I dont see how Nebraska will beat CU if they struggle to score.
Nebraska had the game all the way up to the end. Minnesota so well coached minimizing turnovers and forcing turnovers these past few years. If they could get some real talent on their roster, I believe they'd be right up there with the top of the BIG10. I will say it's been a long time since I've seen Nebraska play that good even with all the turnovers. Might pull off an upset or two this year
Give me a scholarship coach Rhule! I can throw ints too!
You know what. I may not be tall, athletic, or be able to throw 50 yds downfield, but I can throw to an open guy 5-10 yds away. In the modern world of football, where every qb grows up chucking it all over and its easier to pass than ever, why is it that Nebraska can't get anyone halfway decent?
How many of yalls favorite NFL team would like to have Tyler Nubin?
Carolina Panthers fan here. Welcome to the Matt Rhule era of Nebraska.
thanks! cant wait for this year
Gus and Klatt carried this game lol
Yes any other announcers and i wouldn’t even have watched the highlights
This game gave me zero confidence in Simms for the rest of the season. For a 4th year starter he was making reads like a freshman out there. Especially on the first pick where there is a guy wide open at the goal line but he's hard focused on 1 guy. The only good thing he did was a complete fluke. And looking at his previous 3 seasons I don't understand why anyone thought he would suddenly be good. Nebraska is already toast this year. It will be a tooth an nails fight just to beat the bottom teams in the conference, let alone score any points against the good schools.
That one of the best games ever what a game
Gus Johnson is one of the best announcers in football
I feel like CU's defense is going to have a lot of fun playing against this Nebraska offense
Tough game both teams deserve a win.
Don't sleep! Nebraska is a good team.
That catch at 8:29 was WAY closer than I think people thought. I honestly feel like he had it.
theres an angle from the other side that shows the balls rolling around when he hits the ground. otherwise it would have been a catch imo
Thank God Sims didn’t come to Tallahassee 🤣🤣
He wouldn't start in Tallahassee
he did his job , WR gotta get open them boys slow af and short... He putting it on the money but them slow WR can't even get open ...
@@nocapzone46naw Sims played like 💩
He's 1-0 in Tallahassee
That Nebraska running back is probably still sick
That Minnesota receiver has great hands
First of all Matt rhule had a running quarterback passing 😂 fired by week 8
A really physical game played at a frantic pace.
Gophers all alone on top of the Big10 West. Who you think they play in Big10 Championship game? This is the year 🎯💯👍🏆
Wow look at that massive, uncalled 2-man false start on the game-tying TD on 4th & 10
#69 for Minnesota false started multiple times this game. Including their only TD catch which was spectacular. This no call and Rhule not kicking the field goal after Nebraska’s false start score with 10 sec left in the half cost them the game.
We coming 💪🏽😂
I feel for the Nebraska fan base.. IT WILL GET BETTER!!
😂
Man, next week is going to be painful for their fans. lol.
Bro Travis is gonna have a field day with this guy
Nebraska Makes Chicken Salad! 🤣🤣🤣
The fact that they so haven’t moved sims to RB, Edge rusher or LB
Nebraska is slowly becoming the Atlanta Falcons of college football with how efficient they are at choking.
Your lame for that comment
Will have a tough game on their hands this comin Saturday
Man Deion finna beat the brakes off these foolz
Hope so 🤞!!!
Another blown lead, another close loss, another typical Nebraska game... 🙄😐😵
Nebraska portal priority: QB
Wow what a game
What a game
Go Gophers!!
Where? This Gopher team is going to be the worst we’ve seen years! No great RB and the QB needs a WHOLE lot of development.
I’m already havin heart attacks and it’s only week one….
If this the Nebraska Colorado playing next week they are completely doomed
I was just watching this, trying to see why they were the favorites at first. lol. Now Colorado is barely a 2.5 pts favorite. Sheduer is going to TORCH them and Travis, Shilo, and the rest of the secondary are going to feast if he keeps throwing like this.
Nebraska shudda stayed in Big 12 & KEEP pounding kst!
Nebraska must’ve lost those born fed boys to the NIL, the line ain’t cutting it.
Can't drop 5 back like that for Nebraska, idt he's a pocket passer, congrats gophers
Neither one of these teams is going anywhere with those QB's. Good lord.
The buffs will definitely score way more than this.
Nebraska is going to have a hard time trying to stop CU, especially with the altitude advantage
Sims thought he was eric crouch lol wearing that #7 tell him to change his number
AWESOME GAME...
If Nebraska joined the pac 12, they should be set to go at least 7-5. Yes I realize they would be the only team. Still I wouldn’t mind it
All I know is neither of these 2 are beating M, OS, or Penn State.
8:38 off sides offense.
9:08 in the NFL that would be an incompletion because they didn’t have both feet down
Gophers QB throws the ball weird i cant explain
Yeah I doubt Nebraska is beating Colorado next week
Let's go Justin
Colorado D-line won't even have to be very good at pass pressure, because the Nebraska QB won't be accurate enough or timely enough for that Colorado secondary 😢
They bbq chicken vs Colorado
Honestly I'd be encouraged if I was a Nebraska fan. If it weren't for the turnovers (or even if they only 3 instead of 4 turnovers) they win this game on the road against a pretty decent Minnesota team. It was always going to take awhile for Rhule to fix the mess Frost created and the defense at least looked great.
No, Minnesota isn’t even a mid team. I agree though that Nebraska lost this game because Minnesota didn’t do anything to beat them.
That criticism is the exact same criticism you could’ve applied to Frost.
@@Hengel_Andrews It's game one bud - Minnesota barely won non-conference games against weak opponents to start 2019...they won 11 games and beat Auburn in the Outback bowl that year. They are at the very least Mid, and should be in the mix for the West in November (even with a brutal schedule).
@@joshgeiger8942 Haha who you talking to? Bowls don’t mean anything and beating Auburn after 2011 means even less! And, even if I gave you 2019 as a good year, what does that have to do with 2023? It’s 2023 and it’s a whole new offense: no Morgan or Ibrahim.
This has been said about every new coach Nebraska has hired since the Osbourne era ended. Is Rhule cleaning up a mess or just preparing to make a bigger mess? What's the upper-bound of expectations at Nebraska for Rhule? Minimum of 4 losses a year.? A mid-tier bowl every few years that Rhule will lose?
Of course you don't show the "roughing" the kicker call...
Or the disqualification.
Sims was staring down the receiver the whole time, and passed to triple-coverage as well. Multiple bad reads and decisions. I don’t care about either team, so there’s no bias at play here. I would not be starting him if I were Matt Ruhle, not with those plays.
Buffalo going to blow them out
This was a collegiate football game.
Zebra guided comeback
As a passer Sims didn’t improve at all
how you blame Sims for them short slow WR who couldn't get open all night.. the TE was the only one getting open all night.. they ran a cover 2, look how much he was running all night he didn't have time to throw the ball and when he did he had to force it because WR can't get open or find the ball..
Nebraska will have a run, run, run, plan, eat up the clock and keep the ball away from Colorado’s hands. Colorado’s run D looked awful giving up almost 260 yards. We will see if they can do it. Like Mike Tyson always says, “everybody has a plan until they get punched in the mouth.” Colorado might have too much offense. If Nebraska plays like this, Colorado will still blow them out.
Colorado 38 Nebraska 28
Crazy that Nebraska was hyping up Sims as the QB all offseason and then he does that... Nothing new for Nebraska football.
CU sez...CU soon!
Great win for my alma mater, but our secondary is going to be abused like a rented mule when they play better teams.
Both these teams will struggle with fast paced team. Bad on both sides. Nebraska quarterback can only run the ball- no confidence in his throwing ability
Minnesota kicker gettin hella poontang after this game
Chicken salad?
Classic husker fashion, sloppy points for the lead ,cant close a game. probably the highest paid losing program in college history, and I love them :C
Fsu dodged a bullet with Jeff sims norvell has an eye for talent he told sims he wasn't was he's looking for I see why
@dupree how you blame Sims for them short slow WR who couldn't get open all night.. the TE was the only one getting open all night.. they ran a cover 2, look how much he was running all night he didn't have time to throw the ball and when he did he had to force it because WR can't get open or find the ball..
@@nocapzone46that dude can't read a defense or throw!
Nebraska makes chicken salad 😂😂
The referees from Lincoln sure did their best to keep this game close in order to help Matt Rhule win his debut.
The NCAA seriously has a responsibility to suspend or fire referees that attempt to tamper with a game like they did here.
So at 8:39 with the game on the line there is a false start not called that is very clear and if it's not obvious to you go ahead and go to .25 speed, that's the refs backing up Minnesota like they were all game, plenty of missed holding and false start calls missed, even that should of been goal line touchdown called back even though he did get it was somehow favoritism towards nebraska, did we watch the same game?
Nebraska makes chicken salad. 🤣😂🤣😂🤣
That god awful Martinez is gone....
Nebraska fumble in the 4th cost them the game..Both teams are terrible.
This loss is squarely on Rhule. He gambles and doesn't kick a short field goal at the end of the half and gets nothing...then they lose by a field goal!
The one half-hearted question about it in the post game got a meandering response about the time on the clock, which at 11 seconds was a reason TO kick it.
His decision not to take the points was the difference in the game, PERIOD. HE needs to take responsibility!
nah
That wasn't a gamble it was 2nd down with plenty of time for 2 more plays then a fg if they got stopped. Play was open too qb threw it into double coverage with a guy wide open right in his face
Bro they had 4 turnovers. How many of those are his fault 😂
It was Rhules fault for all those 1 score losses during Frosts tenure too! 😂😅😂
@@creamcheesewonton420 the turnovers make it even more Rhule's fault since he knew by this point in the game he shouldn't be trusting his QB to pass for a TD on 4th down when he could kick a FG.
Nebraska got robbed of a TD
How so?
This was a classic STINKER🤷
CU BY FAWTY SKOOOOOOOOOO
This announcer is really annoying
Monday a D.A. will indict Trump for all of Nebraska's choking.
Only if he called the refs and the NCAA and said "Fellas, you gotta find me 4 more points, one more than I need. Gimme a break!"
@@spacelemur7955We know for sure that Hunter had nothing to do with it!!! Even if he did, Joe knew nothing 😂…
@@mrniceguy3750 Actually, you are quite right.👍 The Bidens are small potatoes compared with the Trumps. 2½ billion in NY tax and bank fraud before his presidency, and 2 billion from our 911-buddies the Saudis to Kuchner after, is nothing to scoff at. Fred Trump used a mob lawyer and Donnie learned business from them. Had he just stayed in his sweet spot stealing from liberal New Yorkers he would have gotten away with all his scams like his charity, Trump U, money laundering for rich Russian oligarchs, underpaying his subcontractors, etc (>4000 law suits to date). He had it made, like other sleazy CEO/owners since John D Rockefeller to the present, but his ego just wasn't satisfied with being just a top-tier sleazo, instead he wanted to be a Caesar.
As they say, pride cometh before the fall, and he may drag the whole party down because we weren't smart enough to prune him out in 2016 when we had the chance.
Best wishes. Crispy-Creme Christie is my choice from this sad selection of wannabes. He has real experience and can work with others.
@@mrniceguy3750And pathelogical liar and enemy of the State Rump is going down. AMEN!!!
Ngl this game was some BAD football
It’s the big 10 west what would u expect😂
Nebraska quarterback TERRIBLE
Wait, what? Nebraska still has a football program ?!
Nebraska fails to extend drives on 3rd down they fail to get off the field on 3rds down on defense and fail to win the turnover battle. Same reason they lose close games every year unfortunately.
