- Erik from Farpoint farms reviews A 36 inch pull behind tiller attachment that you can hook up to any riding mower, lawn tractor or garden tractor to aid you in your spring garden setup. See part two for a demonstration of its capabilities.
Your channel is underrated by the way IMO. I'm blown away by some of the quality content on CZcams like yours that isn't getting any views these days. Content like this seemed to do a lot better years ago before they changed everything.
Thanks for the kind words! I agree that the modern CZcams has taken the "You" part out of it and put "They" in. It's mostly mainstream show clips they try to force on us while small channels that sometimes have some really great info get pushed to the bottom.
Glad you found the channel and thanks again for the comments!
@@FarpointFarms I agree with Robert
New sub here and will share to my husband so he can watch your videos too.
My grandfather had an old Allis Chalmers garden tractor and I believe he had a tiller for it that ran off of the tractor PTO. I don't think it was a rear PTO like the newer sub-compact tractors though. From memory it looked like a series of belts that connected it. I'd guess his garden was about a quarter acre or more and he tilled up the clay filled rocky soil every spring with that thing before planting. Total beast of a garden tractor. Smallest tractor my father ever had though was an 8N which he basically used as a garden tractor, but watching your videos I'm seeing how these little machines could be better for that application. No need for a full blown farm tractor to get that done and you can fit everything under cover with very little floor space. Those subcompacts are super cool too but man are they expensive.
Scored a use Agri-Fab tiller from Craigslist for $150. Not sure the condition yet, I do know that it's missing a $7 part that allows lifting the tines. Will check out the engine once I get that fixed.
Now that is a great deal!
Alright already, let's see it work.
There is a part 2 that has video of it in action. Its somewhere on my channel.
Excuse me Sir, I have a question about this.
How would you convert a rear tine tiller to a tow behind tiller?
Like if I had a JD 518R tiller and I want to use it with my JD Lt150 lawn tractor, what should I do on modifications?
I am sure it can be done with a ton of metal fabrication. Fabrication is a talent that I am not good at.
Thanks. Nice set up
Tractor supply still sells husky lawn mowers. I bought a Cub cadet yesterday. I'm about to go pick it up. They had a 42" in Huskie, or Husky, and it was $600 cheaper, but it was uncomfortable, and I wasn't sure about it. The cub was over all bigger and more hp
Cub used to build some really nice tractors, but I haven't seen one in years. I'll have to stop by tractor supply and check them out.
@@FarpointFarms MTD junk past many years. Comfortable and good cutting but not like a 80s or older unit
I work on mowers and the cub cadets have been junk the last 10 years they used the good name they built in the past to allow them to sale junk

Like others have said, let's see this thing till. Or are you afraid it won't till?
There is an entire 2nd video of it turning my garden.
Apparently, "You're a victim of circumstance!"
