Thanks for sharing all your videos with us! They're very informative and fun. I want that exact Ariel Rider! Those bikes are awesome, and I can't wait to get mine!
I like the way you speak and describe your demonstration professionally. Two thumbs 👍 up.
yea, i have the same rearview camera and i really like it, because i live in Florida and man the drivers here are really crazy ok and you just never know what will happen, so having this, i can say is a really good idea ok, hehe
Been watchin some of your videos and noticed the rear cam setup, cool stuff man 👍🏼 I’ve been wanting to find a way to do this for my ebike for some time now thanks for posting. Keep the videos coming be safe
Hey Happy New Year and thanks for watching !
The rear cam is awesome but sells out quickly on Amazon. Link in description of my newer videos!
-🐾⚡️🤘🏽
Hi there. I bought this rearview camera at Amazon the first time I saw your posted video when you went to DC. Thanks for that.
You're welcome 🙌
Thanks bro for this video, i have a similar blue Ariel and im glad i found your video hence I was looking for a rear view camera. Have you found yet a camera kit similar to this Feisike set that would be better quality and /or with a recording function as well? It would be great if they would add a recording function....
I like the idea of setting the camera location. In fact on that bike its tough to find a place to grab the grip.....
Thanks!
Yes brother just ordered mine for my ebike Thankyou so much for this great review stay safe bro ....
I just got mine today....going to install tonight ....and is why I'm watching this video. Did you get yours and installed yet?
Thanks for the tutorial of the review camera
As for Bike I going with the juice Scrambler 2
Still love your video
Great video good installation 👍🏻
Glad you liked it 😎
Thanks for watching !
I just bought one. I cannot wait to install it on my German tank.
Awesome ! They're usually out of stock 👏
I just bought one myself and can't wait… I used to be a very serious road cyclist until I had a botched up back surgery that left me with a spine injury, so I bought myself an E bike so I can at least get out there and move my legs some, and enjoy cycling again. When I was a road cyclist I have to admit I had no fear of traffic behind me whatsoever, but I notice now I'm always worried about cars behind me. I think most of that is the fact that there is so many people on their phones not paying attention nowadays, so I think that's more of my fear now, than it was years in the past. Plus, I have a little bit more difficult of a time looking behind me, so I think this gadget will help that also.
I'm loving my new E bike, and the only issue I have is worrying about cars behind me, so I can't wait to install this and at least have some security. The reviews on Amazon were mostly good, and you can't beat the price, and I don't care about all the frills like recording and all of that… I simply want to see what's behind me, and that's all
Thank you very much for the review, very beneficial and helpful :-)
@@timgreen1835 Hi Tim,. Really sorry for what you been through, despite that part, I love your story.⚡
Glad you're able to get back out and enjoy the road! The camera will definitely help watch your back!
Cheers 🐾
Dude all you're missing is some sweet sounds now
Hey Michael. I’ve been watching your vids. Love watching you when you go by the monuments.
I’ve been looking for this vid for a while. Couldn’t find it for some reason.
Does the camera hold its own charge or do you charge it while riding? I think the x class has a USB port on the battery or the controller. Is that right?
Hopefully get my 52v this spring. Becoming part of the AR family. Say hi to Rusty.
.
Hey Phillip ! Thanks for the kind words !
Yep the camera holds its own charge and seems to never even loose one bar of battery, ever lol.
We're gonna love those X52s man I cannot wait !!

Great add on debating puting on mines also I did a little temp gauge and love it
Oh wow ! What's the temp gauge monitoring? Battery ?
Love it!!

Great video Sir
Thanks Juice!!
🐾
Hi, Thank you for the video. It's what I needed to secure the camera. just wondering did you ever change the tape to zips
I did ! Zips are definitely better, unless you need to reposition etc
Looks sik! Good job man :)
Thanks! And miss thanks for watching!!

Genius!
Is the camera still holding up ok? No reportable issues? I appreciate your time and work. ⚡️
What a great idea!
I use a body cam style camera to record, just in case someone decides to be a-hole.
This would be perfect to record those drivers who think it's funny to try and bully you off the road.
As far as I know, these devices don't record. That is what I was looking for instead of having to install two cameras at the rear.
@@marka6487 a car dash cam would work but $$
@@postskeetclarity I got a cheap mini wifi camera from Ali express that I mount on handlebars. Connected to my phone, it records at the same time as projects a picture. It cuts out occasionally but most of the time provides a picture.
How good is this camera, and does it have a 12 to 24 hour run time before charging, and what's the extra bar that's hiding the cables for the brake shifts ?
Awesome video my friend.. Just what I been looking for. The Amazon link you supplied don't dispatch to the UK. Any ideas where I can source one? Cheers Pal.
Hey Cassiya! Thanks for the kind works bruv🐾⚡
Hmm. I'm pretty sure it's made in China. Perhaps Alibaba?

Does monitor have internal/external memory storage? Was just surfing YT library, ISO rear-cam footage, outside of Insta360-type footage/installation...Stay Safe, Ride Safer...Aloha from Hawaii
Great video Michael. I have a question. Approximately how wide are the strips of vinyl tape did you use? I'm trying to install this setup on my bike. My camera didn't come with the extra rubber strips like yours so I had to improvise. After much researching, I finally found some furniture anti-scuff pads made by 3M at Lowes. The only bad part is that one side of them are adhesive. I took the adhesive wax paper off and installed some regular paper to the adhesive side. I'll see how it installs. Keep up the great videos!
Hi and thanks ! Zip ties are a great (probably better) alternative to the vinyl tape!
@@RustyRoads Thanks Michael, but I bought the vinyl tape. Did you have to swap to using the Zip ties? Would the width of the tape be 1/4"? Thanks.
@@msujeffrey9598 Ahh, the wider you can get it on there the more secure but yea 1/4" sounds about right !
@@RustyRoads Thanks. I'll give that a try. I have another question. I watched the video at the 4:19 Video mark and noticed that you had a shim inserted between the camera housing and the camera mount. Was this shim one of the rubber inserts that came from the bike handlebar screw mount or did you make it? And is it necessary to have that shim in there? Also, what are your current monitor settings for a bright sunny day (backlight, Bright, Contrast, Satur.)?
Does this monitor takes the place of having rear view mirrors on the bike or do you use both?
Both if I can fit it all on my handlebars lol!
Hi there: Really nice clean job on your camera install. I'm so clumsy and have depth perception problem little bit cuz I'm slightly on the old side LOL so I'm thinking the camera will let me "see" better without leaning or behind/twisting to see out of handlebar mirror. OK to my QUESTION: u have this guy talking about how the "wide" angle keeps him from seeing cars coming up behind him. Can someone or you explain that he is talking about??? Only thing I can think of if they are that close they pretty much are "kissing your a$$"anyway LOL
because its a very wide angle, objects directly behind you appear smaller than you'd expect. Not bad once you get used to it
@@RustyRoads ohhh... i see. okay so i just have to remember that and i';; be okay. Cars side mirrors do the same thing too... so maybe I''' stick a "note"of some kind just like the car side mirrors LOL thanks!! I'm gonna get it for my LETRIC I just order today. With the money I save from not getting the Radmini I can splurge on decking out my little ebike!!
Hello please I want this camera I have been looking for it for a very long time and I don't know where to get it. And I have been searching for it in all the online stores like Amazon others stores but I couldn't find it. Can you please tell me where I can get one?
Hey Abdoulie ! Thanks for watching. I only know of amazon that has this particular camera, and it sells out very fast. You can set up an email alert for when it restocks in the desktop amazon site
I have that link in description below
This is the only other system that is similar but its not intended for bikes
www.amazon.com/Itomoro-Mirror-Crystal-Baby-Easily-Observe/dp/B07VFWLRLS/ref=sr_1_6?dchild=1&keywords=baby+camera+car&qid=1613668159&sr=8-6
I finally got one today!!! I Want to THANK YOU SO much this is going to help me out tremendously because I'm always 2nd guessing the mirror. I'm 56 and my reflexes aren't what they used to me and I ride my Grand around with me all the time. Thanks again!!!
Loyal subscbriber
Hey Tony that's awesome ! It definitely adds an extra layer of safety !
Glad you got one, they tend to sell out quickly.
Keep an eye on the monitor mount if you live in a cold weather state. Both of ours cracked from the cold, over tightening, or both.
If that happens, the Bone Bike Tie Pro 3 on amazon mount works great.
Thanks again !!
Hey Rusty,
Had my daughter pre order because they were sold out and not expected until 1/21.
It came today but I checked Amazon for haha's and they were out again. They really should change the product title on Amazon. If I hadn't stumbled on to your video I would have never found one! (and I have been looking for something that was plug and play for awhile).
Im in MA..put the bike up for the winter but thanks for tip!
I wouldve paid at least 100.00 but 50.00 was a no brainer.
Thanks again bruh!
@@tonyholmes9024 This means a lot Tony, thanks so much !!
🐾🐾🐾🐾
My question is now that you’ve used this monitor, would you buy it again?
Hey Ron, thanks for watching.
It's great for the price considering what mirrors cost!
CitizenCycle and Peter Parker have also reviewed this (or perhaps an updated version) on their channels as well.
Ride safe !!
Hey, Nice Bike's, and a Great Setup On the Camera's. Love the Display Sizes and The Widths and Angle of the Camera. I Have a E-Scooter but Thinking about getting a Electric Bike. Can this be installed onto a Portable Mobility Scooter please, if the Scooter has Handlebars ???
Yep 👍🏽
@@RustyRoads Thank you kindly, Rusty.
I don't understand how you can give this bike rear view camera considering its "fish eye view" with darkened corners that make straight lines appear distorted.
How does it perform outdoors ? Is the LCD monitor bright enough under direct sunlight ? Are there controls for brightness, contrast, color ? Is it image stabilized ?
These are just some questions that come to mind....
Hey Marcos. I don't think this system (especially for it's price) is intended to produce an HD image.
It has to be fisheyed in order to also be a wide enough angle to see on each side of you in addition to directly behind you.
This let's you see directly behind you when normally you cannot.
I've used it in direct sunlight and it works fine, but not perfect by any stretch. I wouldn't be able to make out details or read a plate number, but I'd absolutely know if their is someone or something behind me, which again is the point.
You can always get a cheap action camera and set it up facing backwards, then use the cameras app to see behind you in better quality.
Also, I think there are some better options available now, this was 10 months ago! Check out Peter Parkers channel, I think he just featured one.
🐾
Thanks !
I brought 2, one for the bike I have and the other the bike I will get.
Nice!! You got lucky it seems these kits are always sold out !!
🐾
Yes, I had to wait a couple of weeks before Amazon had them again and snapped 2 as soon as they were available. I suspect they were out in the ocean ready to come to port.
Do you have a link to the screen saver that you used for the monitor?
What part of the video are you referring t
🐾⚡
@@RustyRoads As regards the screen saver for the monitor please see 14:04 to 14.20. As regards the repurposing of the camera bracket and phone mount (phone holder) I am referring to 17.:50 to 18:50. You state you are using "the phone mounts that you have" but I do not see a link to the one you have. Also, how is the phone mount (the rubberized stretchy phone holder) intended to be attached to the handlebars if you did not have the repurposed camera bracket? In my application I will be able to use the camera bracket as intended for the camera. What bracket will I need to attach to the handlebars that I would then attach the phone holder to.
@@jmb00drg ohhh! I just ordered a large generic screen protector and cut it to fit 👍🏽
Cheers!! 🐾⚡
@@RustyRoads Do you have any additional information you can provide about the phone holder. I see one called " Nite Ize Wraptor, Rotating Smartphone Bar Mount, Grey" but this is different than yours. It sounds as though from your video at 17.:50 to 18:50 that yours attaches to your repurposed camera bracket rather than directly to the handlebars. Your set up looks like it would be sturdier than attaching the phone holder directly to the handlebars. It looks like the Nite Ize mounts directly to the handlebar.
@@jmb00drghi! Put setup has changed so much (and bikes) since this video! As far as phone holders go, the TackForm mount is head and shoulders better than any other mount I've used. There's a link in the description.
🐾⚡
Did you serve in the Navy?
I just got a gixxer 600, do you think it’ll hold up on a motorcycle??
Yep, I think it'd be perfect for a motorcycle! Especially since motorcycles already have great mirrors, adding this system would just make you that much safer being able to see directly behind you!
Thanks for checking the video out!!
🤙🏽✊🏽✌🏽🐾
@@RustyRoads how do you think I can mount the screen in the front ??
@@jjortega20 it comes with a mount for the screen. You can also use some phone mounts but the screen is thicker than phones so it won't work with all phone mounts.
@@RustyRoads yeah but on my gixxer there isn’t a lot of actual bar to put it on so do you think a Ram would work??
Is the screen bright enough out in the bright sun
The screen only illuminates if the headlights are on. However The screen is easy to see in daylight despite the lack of a daytime backlight
⚡🐾
Use flatout to prevent flats.
They are a nice idea, but, the wide angle results in not being able to see cars coming up behind you until it’s too lat and they are your butt.
Returning mine.
Sorry you didn't like it Mark. I hear you and hope a similar product with a clearer image comes out. I got used to it but can see why some wouldn't want to.
Cheers

Would be nice to see actually used on the road.. Makes me suspect it probably vibrated so much it rendered the camera useless
Nope. Lots of my videos (with the red X-Class) feature that camera/monitor 👍🏽

How does this camera work in the night?
It's ok, but not great.
You can see anyone with a headlight at night, but without a headlight, it's very difficult to see them
Doesn't show up at all on my Amazon App..smh!

Yeah me too
@@RS-ui2wi they seem to sell out within minutes lately, I think they should be kicking me back some $ LOL
Ha ha. Seems like a good product and the price is right. Hope it reappears.
@@RS-ui2wi I thought amazon had an option to email you when a product is back in stock but I don't see it. Maybe on desktop?
A screen protector on a 50.00 monitor & camera. LOL.
My OCD hates scratched screens LOL!
Thank you so much for this video. I will purchase this rear view camera. I have a question about the phone mount. The only phone mount I see is the TackForm Phone mount: amzn.to/34E4tn9 but this does not look like the one you are using in this video. If I understand correctly you attached what looked like a rubber like phone "cage" or mount to the the repurposed bracket that came with the camera. Can you specify which of the links above is for the "phone mount " that you attached to the bracket to hold your phone? Also your video is from about 17 months ago. Are you aware if there are other options available now? This still likes like one of the best I have seen after searching quite a bit.
