Ariel Rider X Class 52v Review Video
• 2021 Ariel Rider X-Cla...
CANT BELIEVE YOURE IN CARY NC!! That's where I lived my entire life...its changed SO much!
I think this is a must for an electric bike. Wish the screen was smaller but having said that love the new tech.
Thanks, I've been considering one for my e bike and after watching your video I'm sold. Great tutorial 👌
I've had this on my ebike for like a year now! I love it.
How long does the battery usually last?
That's what I was thinking about yesterday. It's amazing
Hi, you have gained my trust. Just bought the camera system. My bikes are only that clean when they come out of the truck. I have 4. Thanks
I just bought two side-mirrors and a new set of pedals for about $100. I would've much preferred the awesome camera! Awesome video, Sir!!🙏👍
I also regret paying for the rear mirror!!! When it comes to ebikes, cost is less of a criteria, function is.
Glad I came across your video. I purchased this for my escooter and works very well!
Glad you found the video helpful. Cheers!
Thank you for showing great gadgets! Awesome video.
Thanks, bought one to put on my Fiido L 3 that's coming to me Friday.
I bought one for my Bee Cool Explorer and put it on the rear rack and bought a handlebar extender. I really like it.
Awesome dude !!
Liked and subscribed and purchased this camera , winner winner 👍👍🙂
I really like your channel. Very informative and down to earth reporting.
😊 thanks!!!
This is really interesting. I would probably use this only when biking downtown where it's really busy. Hard to say until you try it out.
Nice camera and review man. I personally use folding mirrors, although I have thought about something like this, and I would need that crossbar too. That Aerial Rider is beautiful by the way. Thank you sir.
I'll be buying this today for longterm use.
Just can't believe why it took so long for companies to come out with rear view bike camera. It is such a old matured and cheap technology. Should be easily to have tiny camera clip to the back of helmet, seat, etc.
I actually thought about that a few years ago.
definitely gonna check this out. almost a requirement for a bike like the HS2 lol.
I’d be curious how it holds up off-road. Nice for the ride TO the trail, definitely. Will it still work for the ride home FROM the trail? Thanks for another great vid. Strongly considering one of these b/c I just don’t like the mirrors.
I got one for my Rad Rover 5 and my wife's Rad City. She's a nervous rider and I noticed she wasn't checking her mirrors because she said she didn't want to look to the sides. Now she's much more aware of her surroundings when we ride. I got my camera because my shoulders are super wide being 6'4" and 325lbs and I would still have contort myself to see around me in the mirrors, and that's with both mirrors on the handlebar ends and fully extended out.
Glad they are working out for you! thanks for commenting!
Yes, I was out riding yesterday, it was kind of difficult to keep turning around to see what's behind me because I don't have any rearview mirrors. That's when I thought To myself, I need a solution. After seeing your video I was convinced that I needed a rearview cam. Buying today, thank you, for the insight.
Sincerely,
Real^Talk
Any updates on how well it lasted? And does it work good at night?
I have a bad neck so looking back for traffic is very hard for me. So I think I’m going to try this. Thanks.
That is one thing I didn't think of but an excellent point, if you have poor neck mobility this might be helpful
What do you think about mounting the backup camera under the taillight? It should be fairly straight forward to make a bracket.
Thanks citizen cycle i can use this for my kaabo wolf king GT pro (awesome video)
I'm definitely buying one of these for my rad rover. Been on the fence on getting rear view mirrors, I just don't want make my bike any wider. I'm just not sure If I have enough room on my handlebars, I got too many other gadgets 😂🤣👍
Thanks for the video! I email you last year about this topic. Great job! I purchase the same one.
What a coincidence! I just got my Super 73 RX delivered last night along with this same exact camera. Took it out for a test this morning and I love it. You are right though....objects appear closer than they seem....and faster. I was busy looking at the camera at an approaching car, and he zipped past me faster than I expected. Maybe I was doing what you were doing...just staring at the screen (I was probably mesmerized at the technology too), when the car came zooming and startled me, even though I knew he was coming. Too bad I bought it before I saw your vid...I would have bought it with your affiliate link. 😢
You'll have to let me know how that super 73 RX runs. I have never tried a super 73 bike but I'm sure I will someday. What other gadgets are you going to add to it?
@@CitizenCycle925 It runs smooth as butter with the dual shocks and it runs pretty fast at 31 mph on a straigh-away. It does lack torque on the low end, as other CZcamsrs pointed out. I have a hill near my house, and when I took my Bolton Avenger 500 watt/800-900w peak bike up the hill, I had it on the lowest gear, max throttle + maximum leg power, but it was still hard to pedal. It felt like I was wearing cement shoes and I was only going 5-6 mph. With a running start, I took my RX up the hill WITH pedalling at about 18 mph and it was a breeze. I tested it again at the bottom of the hill, no running start, no pedalling, and it couldn't make it. Torque only kicks in past 10 mph...more after 20 mph. Still, it conquered the hill that I always avoided with my Bolton bike. I think it can conquer most hills, the one caveat is that one needs a running start. Truthfully, after watching your review on the Ariel Rider, I really wanted that bike. After your video showing your shorter wife and niece mount the bike, I was excited to pre-order it, because I'm a short dude. But, I was worried about the higher seat being uncomfortable, and with Super 73 mentioning a torque update in the near future (how near can it be when it's been over a year already), I bought the RX.
Hows the camera in bright sun light? Thanks!
Yes great idea. You are the man, great channel as well.
I use the camera also on my Himiway with the extra bar. I also got the GPS 5 in. Navigator sun screen and it fits like a glove. It clips on and looks like it came with it. Misses all buttons and really helps with sun glare.
Do you have a pic on how you mounted it on your Himiway...I have the Cruizer
Question for Mart Ledbetter; Do you have a link to the GPS 5 in. Navigator sun screen that you reference? That would be great to know.
Wow this is pretty cool. Thanks for posting.
I have this for my Magicycle and I bought a 3D printed kit to attach it to the Magicycle, just about to install it.
Ordered one , will let you know after trying if . Thanks 🙏 for sharing
Great camera I have it on my 2 ebikes. I love it!!!!!!
I love this, I’m getting this! ⚡️🛵🤙🏾
Yes I do have one comment about the rearview camera that is how long does it takes before fully charging the camera.
I agree I think it would be a distraction. I use one lefthand bar end mounted camera and feel it provides the necessary amount of information to stay safe.
Yes I want one, thanks for the info.
That is KOOL!! I need one !!
Interesting my Ariel Rider X-class came with pre-cut grips with caps on the end - Then again I also got the thumb throttle.
Thanks for the info. I'm gonna put one on my new ebike. It is a bit disappointing that you made the video 2 yrs ago and in the meantime, no manufacturer seems to have had the foresight to integrate an SD card system into it, to record at the same time. The hardware is already in place and an encoder chip and card slot would be simple additions - one would think.
Thanks for the review, I never knew this existed, I already added the bar so I'm gonna try this.
👍 because of some neck issues it’s hard getting a good over the shoulder check so I’m currently looking for the best camera and monitor rearview system for my motorcycle(HD, Image stabilizing, wide angle lens, works very good at night, etc.) I’ve subscribed and will keep a lookout for your videos in the hopes you might reviews some more. Thank you for these informative videos they really help🙏
You may have already ordered something but as I was checking out these which I had no idea they made I realized that they do have dual cameras for motorcycles that are ACC.
The display is so clear. I like the sound of your ebike running. Sir why is the bench curve in the display when in fact the bench is straight 2:06? Thanks for sharing.
Have it on my wife's X52. I strapped the camera under the brake light. Works great but the screen does take up a lot of realestate on the bars. Gets crowded when adding other gadgets even with the add on extra bar. Think eventually I will get bmx bars put on both of our X52v's.
If I was going to start utilizing the rear rack I'd probably try to mount it under the tail light as well but this works for now 😁
Got one on order. Now I'll be able to see the cars ride my tail light crystal clearly 😂
Yea it's not a bad price eather. Thanks for the info. I like that bike you put it on also.
that is great idea for ebike and e scooter more safer than look back ty
I have a step thru and need to find an extension cable for this unit. Do you know what type of cable is needed? Is it an audio 3.5 cable? Really would like to buy and install but with the step thru, there's not enough cable to reach from Camera to the Monitor.
How long is the camera cable? This could be great on my rowing shell since rowing backward is an issue
will it fit in a cell phone holder? or do they make one for a cell phone? that would bee better
$147.65 for that camera in Canada. Ouch. Great video ! BTW, how do you charge the battery ? do you remove it ? or do you charge it while it is on the bike with a charger with long cable that connects to it ?
Have you tried Garmin Varia rearview radar? With cycling computer/nav?
Same as you. I don't want to have to drill holes for the mirrors. Plus I have a twist throttle. W/ Sunlite hard box. I have to lift my arm every time I want to look behind me. I live in Alaska, so I normally have my hood on which makes it hard to see what's beside me. I had no idea these existed! Happened to pop up as I was surfing online store. They only offer two one with a 130 wide angle and one with a 145. Some reason I think the 130 may be better less fisheye? If anyone knows let me know please!
Bought this however routing wire for a step thru bike is cumbersome. Nice cam if you have a regular bike an no step thru, had to send back. Looking for a wireless bluetooth cam
I just Installed the Same camera on my wolf king gt scooter. I couldn't use the mount and did the same just zip tied the camera into the frame.
how do you get a headlight like the Ariel Rider X Class ebike?
I own a Rion and i def need more mods for PEV’s without seats.
how has it held up? and how long is the camera wire, want to buy one for electric stand up scooter
Awesome idea!
Does it has any other functions? Like front camera or gps or other apps? Is it waterproof?
That's pretty cool way better than mirrors probably little more aerodynamic to
Pretty nice camera
Been searching high and low for a camera like this but to connect to my phone which I have attached to bike. I don't what the extra screen, I've got my phone, any idea if there is something out there that would connect to an Android phone and display what is behind me like this rear view camera?
What do you use to protect it if it starts raining
The mirros do not work unless you get the real big ones.I had to take my mirrors off because they would never adjust right and it had no magnification like a car mirror. Thanks for this might get one--but sadly i avoid the street at all costs and use the sidewalk. My area the sidewalk is vey sparsely used and we have no bike lanes.
I have this same camera. It’s great! However the cable from camera to monitor is not long enough for my bike. I want to splice in a piece of cable to make it longer.
Does anyone know what kind of cable/gauge etc I should use??
Thanks in advance!
My bike has a USB charger in the phone holder can you keep this connected to charge an use it at the same time
Good video, but for me, it's way too big. Once I've added the phone for mapping, there isn't much room left for the big screen. I'm still looking for a right handed end bar mirror for mine, as I'm in the UK and we ride on the left
Wow your are the first biker to go slow on your bike so fun to follow, i appreciate the vid, i am gonna try a Wifi cam (From Ebay) that connect to my old extra phone y have saved. I am still waiting for my Grizzly, try do do feedback on FB. Thanks man
Grizzly nice 👍
Do they make one with record and store capability.
The monitor is handy if it recorded as well.
I might want to record scenery or some nitwit tailgating or hitting me.
I have the same camera on my ebike. I just wish it had an sd card slot and would function as a dashcam.
Does the camera have a record function
I’m sorry if I missed it, but does it record onto an SD card?
I had used one, but I had a hard time seeing my wife riding behind me. This is fish eye lense. I switched to a USB camera that I connect to my phone that I use as a display.
Which one are you using?
Can I get the details on the camera system you are using. Thank you
Any updates on these and does it stay in view with dark polar lens
I've gone through three mirrors from bike static falls. I like this camera 'cause it can be mounted to be less vulnerable. Three mirrors: fitty bux. 😎
My display is black and white. Is that a malfunction? It turns to color sometimes but most of the time it’s b&w
I've got mirrors on my bike but I'm going to buy one of those rear view cameras any way because you can never have enough safety precautions on the streets.
I have this and a mirror, mirror is so much better for viewing cars coming up from behind me. And after 2 months, it only charges to 2 bars. I wouldn’t it again for an ebike. Maybe good as a peephole for the front door.
What a cool bike!
I'd mount the camera to the fender?
Can you see well in broadlight?
For some reason can't seem to find this one anywhere now it's like it never exsisted, now there is a similar one on amazon but it's £100 more..
Wow! It works great! I would get one but I don't think I'd have room on my Radrover 5. If anyone has any suggestions for how I could make it work, please let me know. P. S. I have a rear rack.
7:55 awesome street. I love this... I might have to order this
I wondered if anyone would notice that 😂 Man you guys see everything..
@@CitizenCycle925 And what town its in.
How is this rear-view camera working after 2 years? Thanks
How does rain effect electrical components
Speaking of accessories....AR released a Tank Bag....after I made a diy with their patches, they do a pro version. Yeh, bought 2. Gives it a better than super 73 look, Check'm out
Been thinking about putting one on my Himiway
Does it have wide angle?
Difficult to find them.. hows it holding up still?
It's a cool idea. Is it possible to use your phone screen?
I just got a camera today for my havoc Xtreme 1000w hopefully try it out tomorrow
what camera did you go with?
@@CitizenCycle925 lol just a cheap one Funle
I think it would be nice if it had a loop recording in case anything was to happen..
Very good review. May consider. I want top purchase a camera re camera, since I almost get hit once a day in a Total of 2.5 miles round trip. Mostly ppl that don’t want to use the STOP sign and also the limit line. Too many ppl driving that shouldn’t be.
If your commute is that dangerous maybe consider taking a bus.
Curious how long the battery lasts on it.
How many hours does the battery last?
Sorry dont uderstand all but candidat you screen the display? Picturale or vidéo
Hey citizen I just got a hyperscrambler 2 about 3weeks ago and I got a go pro and started a channel too looking to join up with a few people to ride
some action cams have wifi to connect to phones. akaso ek7000 is what I use
