Well, I made a few adjustments on the rear helped a little bit... but not what i was hoping for, I have to mow again today, So i might try shimming up the springs on that rear assembly to get rid of a bit more rattle... see if its worth showing people..
Thanks for sharing, I just wish the video would show what the problem was before the fix, so I could see it I have an issue or not. My bar seems to not pull on the deck mount on one side, but has a gap toward the front. So I was wondering if I need to make an adjustment.
yes if you have a gap in the front between the deck bracket and the rod, you probably hear a bunch of rattling. If you are fine with the noise there is no need to make the adjustment. With electric mowers you will hear more "rattle" on any mower just due to the lack of the engine drowning out the usual noises. Hope that helps!
For such an otherwise well-designed tool, this flaw certainly "fell through the cracks." I am considering using some strategically-located electric tape wrapping. I know that it will need to be repeated, but it's a cheap preventative. What do you think about that?
I know this vid is a bit old but how long is this unit? From the very front all the way to the rear. The furthest points, from front to back. Thanks in advanced and God bless!
Yea, its going to rattle a bit still, but this fix is for the obnoxious rattling from the factory. Most people with gas engine mowers don't hear all of the rattles their zero turn makes... I pulled my toro around the yard with the ego, and it was worse than the ego pre-fix. 😃
I dont hear the rattling on my z6 anymore! Easy fix. I put in my earbuds and crank up the tunes!🤷♂️🤣
Nice video, thanks.
Love this mower, just wish batteries would last longer
how long do they last?
Thanks!! Very helpful. When will next video (rear) be out?

@@diaryofageek I wonder if some kind of hard rubber dampers could somehow be employed??

Good info!
Metal on metal. Wonder how long till it wears through. They need a redesign. For over $5,000 this deck is cheap!!!

I think the batteries are half the price though. 12ah 52" version batteries are like $900 for 2 or $2700 for 6.
How tall is it? 40”-50”? If Under 40” tall, I could fit it in a mini van and not need a trailer.
it is just under 40" to the top of the control arms and back of the seat.

Still rattles. Ego users are putting thin hose on the bar to dampen it.
