I really like the German paratroopers that fg42 variant is actually very powerful at close to mid range. Much better then the for free paras with useless grenade launcher attachments and given that the US has those super op 100 round Thompson’s, it is a must have to counter them. And every man equipped with a 32 round Mauser or 20 round full auto Mauser sure doesn’t hurt. This way you can get an engineer to build a great rally and not have to worry about getting weapons from the create. I also like the FW with 8 50kg bombs, it’s very hard to miss a tank with those.
Honestly speaking, the 50% off for everything should be the normal price so at least player starts buying stuff more. Speaking as a player who spends money occasionally on games.

Why all the console hate. They are a big part of the player base and probably fund a fair bit of the game. I’ve recently been turning crossplay on and have been top scorer in quite a few games with an Xbox.

One other benefit of Paratroopers is that you can give them all AP mines, then take the AT loadout. Your soldiers end up having 1 of each. This is especiallyy great when defending an enclosed point!

UPDATED LIST:
- American LVT APC (not discounted though)
- American Calliope
- American 100 Thompson Paratroopers
- German MG 42 Early
- Flametanks for Ger/SOV
- Soviet Fedorov MG squad
None + not worth it
Fedorov MG - Firepower of Fedorov avtomat but with even more damage per shot and less of a recoil plus you get 5 of them with 2 engineers you can build hmg and usual engy stuff. If only bipods would work as they should be. P2W squad. Only cons is lack of AT gunner and slower ADS than Fedy.
MG42 Early - It has lowest recoil of all Axis LMGS you can use it as a semi auto rifle and even trade shots vs snipers.
Drum Tommy paras - After they fixed ironsights they are worth a buy
Calliope - it's fun and great against infantry but if you get hit you are dead
Dicker max - great against KV-1 and T-34 spammers but die to anything including planes, nades, molotovs or even anyone shooting your heads with a gun
Soviet paras - They have much better loadout when compared to free Paras, You get Panzerfaust 60 at BR2 (P2W) while free squad gets crappy PTRS-41
Firefly - it's faster and have better pen with APDS than the Pershing
Bug of German paratroopers is still not fixed they need to open paratoopers from higher altitude for some reason and they fly way too far from your predetermined place.
I bought the Soviet female medics as a novelty on sale. I am surprised at how useful they are.
The engineer can have Sprint Speed AND 3/4 fast building, which settles any debate about which perk is best - both!
And for the fast capping, I have a medic with double run, sprint, full stamina on a base 26 mobility. Add cavalry sword.

On series X the real money squads/ vehicles are not discounted unfortunately. I was hoping to pickup the flame thrower tanks and more paratroopers.. it's really frustrating how they choose to exclude stuff like that on console.
On ps5 half of shop premiums is on sale like early mg 43

Soviet premium apc is worth it, 50 cal packs a punch, and having the rest of the squad with mgs and smgs turns it into a battle bus

Can't buy anything for the soviets as i already have pretty much everything unlocked for them so no point in really playing for them.

the update post today didnt imply anything like that, but there should be some big update in 1 or 2 months the most coming with new additions for every nation.

offtopic question, whats ur pc specs and on which graphics settins are you playing?
pc is quite mid, i dont know the exact specs. i used to play on ultra with 90 fps avg. now on high i get 115 fps avg. once the game gets better graphics, ill likely buy a new graphics card to alway play on 144fps if possible

If you are using the gun and not as a mobile rally then you are doing it wrong, so its really not great

its quite expensive for a...slightly better normal apc. its strictly better than the normal one, but the MG and paper thin armor are minimal upgrades. id personally wait for some better APCs in the future, as there was a TON of different german APCs. if you want a great apc, the american LVT is super strong. as it comes with 2 HMGs and 3 MGs (insane compared to the german one) and it can also swim.

My opinion:
There is no need to buy an infantry squad, camper tanks and planes dominate the game anyway.
My recommendation to this "amazing and brainy" developer team:
Add some "op" engineer" and AT squad to premium.

i sadly dont know, could be an oversight. i recommend you post that in the forum and see what the helpers say to that.

king of annoying as a strictly f2p player who cant log in often enough to get event squads that paratroopers still dont appear in the tech tree - surely they cant be that intrinsically overpowered?
theyre actually not. i dont even use them, not even in serious games. the only thing that makes the ameriacn one strong is the OP weapon they come with. you can spawn them like a normal squad on a rally point and just sproay their 600 bullets into the enemy

Nice deals! But it is still way too expensive now as well. At this price I can save up my money to buy a AAA game during the Steam sale. I am enticed by the premium account but even as a long time F2P I have unlocked almost all the things which I wanted to in this game. Still a nice deal for someone who is interested.
yeah i feel very similar, in 2 years of playing ive only bought 3 squads with money. premium is way more fun and helpful
Yep. Let's see. I may grab the premium if I feel like it. But again I am quite used to the grind as a F2P now to be honest.
Why don't you recommend premium APCs, especcialy for new players? It gives huge boost on grinding, really nice and comfortable weapon setup for default soldiers and free rally point for players that doesn't reach the engineer squad yet. I use it when started to play japanese, made my gameplay much easier.
