    Rolos are originally British too. If you like dark chocolate, we also have Bourneville chocolate. If you compare Cadbury’s with Hershey’s, it tends to offend British people as Hershey’s has chemicals in it that are banned in the UK. We don’t add fake colours or flavours. We also have fresh milk in our dairy chocolate not dried.

      Kit Kat was originally made by Rowntree Mackintosh, who were a firm from York, England..... They were taken over by Swiss firm Nestle, who sold the American rights to the biscuit to Hershey..

    The honeycomb in the Crunchie is boiled sugar cooked until golden, with bicarbonate of soda added when hot and added golden syrup which is whisked vigorously until it goes honey coloured then it is poured into a tray and left to harden.

    Purple is the Cadbury corporate colour. The rival to Cadbury is Galaxy people tend to favour one or the other. Yes we have sour patch kids. However the main gummies are from Haribo

    Without trying to sound to vulgar it’s impossible to compare Hershey’s to Cadbury’s to someone from the U.K. as Hershey’s tastes of vomit to us , it’s because US chocolate contains butyric acid something we don’t use over here so when we taste it it tastes like vomit . Well worth googling it 😬👍🏻

    Both Picnic and Crunchie were inherited by Cadbury when they owned and ran Fry’s who were based near Bristol (Keynsham). Fry’s no longer exists but these two plus Turkish Delight, and Fry’s Chocolate cream continue under the Cadbury flag. Both Cadbury and Fry were Quaker families - Elizabeth Fry appears on our banknotes too.

    Cadbury are pretty much the king of chocolate in UK...other countries do sell Cadbury but not everyone has the rights to use their "true recipe" as they call it. i learned this when i went to a Cadbury factory once. apparently USA is one country that does not have those rights...so Cadbury may taste different in the USA...well actually i'm pretty sure it does cause i've tasted it.
    purple is very much cadbury's signature colour, they also like to use orange n yellow's.

    • @patriciaburke6639
      @patriciaburke6639 Před 3 lety +2

      Cadbury’s Chocolate sold in America is made by Hershey’s under Licence and they do not use the exact U.K. recipe. Cadbury’s U.K. are not allowed to export their products to America, as Hershey’s successfully lobbied the US Government to prevent their import to the ‘Land of the Free’, or in this case ‘Free from Genuine Cadbury Chocolate’ 😷😀

  • @cheekymonkey666

    the US version of cadbury products is a lot different to the UK, ingredients is a key factor, i have travelled to and from the UK a thousand times over the years and tasted a great many US candy compared to UK, the main factor is the US chocolate contains mainly powdered milk where as the UK only use fresh milk straight from the dairy farm... the Sugar is also a key factor, what type of sugar it is and what plant it is from gives different taste...
