Low poly Skye (Zootopia) - Speed Modeling
Vložit
- čas přidán 18. 12. 2018
- I made a low poly model based on a drawing/animation I made of Skye and recorded most of the modeling and rigging process.
Music used:
CyberSDF - "French Garden"
/ cybersdf
Saidbysed - "Four Seasons"
Otis McDonald - "Sunday Skate in Golden Gate"
Saidbysed - "Fancy"
Late Night Feeler - "The First Night in New York City"
ELPHNT - "Unrest"
Last song is something I made in fl studio
You should make tutorials! I'd love to learn your process!
Same
@@chriswizardman6384 Yeah no, blender is entirely too difficult for beginners without any guidance..
@@chriswizardman6384 bro you guys are in a loop, although i do agree that SOME people can indeed learn blender by themselves however most cannot so a tutorial would be very helpful
@@chriswizardman6384 look, not everyone can do that. everyone has different experiences and just because something was easy for you, is not easy for everyone else.

I always loved cartoony models like that, it remind me of the DS/3DS/Wii era
I LOVE low poly models, they're so cute
This actually makes me want to pursue 3d modelling as a hobby. Thankyou for showing me your process! Hope to see more in the future
Okay but one year later, did you pursue 3D modelling?
@vipper K I'm curious if you got into it as well. How'd it go?
did you get into 3d modeling?
*loads low-poly shotgun with malicious intent* did you pursue 3D modelling ?
@@user-tt6jr7rz5l we say Shrodringer's cat . He pursued and didn't pursue 3D modelling until he gives an exact answer
The aesthetic reminds me of Animal Crossing, I love that series.
The way you made those arms is so good yet so simple, im so mad I couldn't figure something like that out X)
BRO MY MIND EXPLODED WHEN YOU MADE THE SHADOW WITH THE MATERIALS YOU ARE A GOD
This is cute! Hope to see more of your creations!
this low poly art style is the best i've ever seen!
Such an adorable character. Nice work.
Just wanted to thank you for making this video, although it's sped up it still helped me get a small reference on the character modelling process and helped me make my own *a lot*
I love your style too by the way, it looks super pretty
what a awesome work, and beatiful artstyle!
Wow this motivated me to make my own! Great job man! Love it!
Love your low poly work, got me a inspired to work on my projects again
I love low poly and the pixels of this object here
such a nice style the end result looks like an old game cube game model
Thank you for this video. Ive been racking my brain trying to model someone's animal mascot for a week now!
How this is cute great job fuel!
that's high quality production.~
thankyou this is such a motivation for me to improve!!
Duuuude. Just one video. Over 100k views, 1k subs. Missed opportunity here. Looks so good
I attempted this my self by slowing down the video. Im supprised how well It turnend out. Great video.
@@birdie5631 blender 3d. I would recommend watching some tutorials on how to use it first though
Wow Incredible Talent!
That's really good !
This is very cute! I would like to see more of your work 🥰
OMg this is so good!
Woah🙀 nice work!

I'd love to see a step by step tutorial of modeling this character
This inspires me to make 3d models
What a cutie!
CUTE!
Yes that’s amazing !!!!!!
I always wondered how 3d modeling was done. Thanks!
Love it
Amazing! Too bad, that you didn't do anything else. I definitely would love to see something else from you.
Шикарно, очень круто получилось.
I love This :3
Cute af
Holly shit That is good.
Dude. Nice
Is there a specific reason you made the details(such as the mouth and eyes) int simple colored polygons instead of hand drawn textures? is it just stylistic choice? (I'm learning so im just curious, Love this model btw
I do this too...mostly style...sometimes it's just easier than drawing it on...
Yo, i'm a 3d entusiast and I probably know the answer. If the idea of colors and stuff is so simple, then there is no reason to make a texture. To actually draw something on the model, you need to do a lot of work such as unwrapping and drawing afterwards, when you can simply click a few buttons and you are done. So basically it's just a lot faster and easier
@@billhook7357 Would it also be easier to keyframe animations on (blinking and such)?
I can see how much trouble you had with the mouth and it speaks to me on such a spiritual level. Great video, I learned a lot of good techniques just from watching it
so cute
love it! what settings are you using to render?
I didn't understand anything at all, but this is amazing!👏😃
Great
Love the character and your workflow!
Was wondering what exactly you did for the clothing, since it goes really fast. Did you duplicate the body mesh and start tweaking that?
It seems so
You should make a short film with this. It would be pretty neat.
Wow.
I love you
Cute...
ur underated 2020
3D to 2D?That's what i wanna learn !
So good! Question: At 7:10', how do you do to make the colors visible in the flat view?
cool
For the parts where you needed to do lines that followed over the topology (the toe things) I would have taken the mesh, duplicated it and used the knife tool to get something that is spot on and then delete everything but what you need, it's faster imo. I don't watch stuff like this but I'm into blender ect and thus was in my recommended
Custom shaders might work for the toon shading but I don't know much about that stuff Soo yea
Die from cuteness*
Would it not have been more effective to use a UV map instead of adding on the "lineart" physically?
Wow
I wonder if this CZcamsr will ever make more videos.
Like!
The derpy deer lol
How do you adjust mirror symmetry when working in only one side of the mesh so it makes Effect for both sides ? I cant get that Effect yet
where did you learn the rigging process? Was it all on your own or do you recommend any resources? It's the one part of the process that.I struggle with
so fucking cute
I want to get into 3d modeling but it looks so hard and I can't even draw as is😞
well 3d modeling and 2d art requiere different skill sets ppl could be really good at modeling but suck at 2d and vise versa just cause u can’t do one doesn’t mean you won’t be able to do the other one
You should make tutorials!
17:40 - 18:52 "Argh those eyes, why they do that #@$!"
18:52 *moves arm* O.O
Anyway, nice work!
Bruh

always wondered, is there a point to modeling the eyes and mouth as planes for something low detail & stylized like this instead of just drawing them on as a texture?
how do you rig the digi legs? that's always confused me
Is that a fennec?
What drawing program is that in the beginning?
pouica +1
fuel fuel
yes ivvy_potato
using a older version of blender?
y e s
no hate
Could u use one drawn on paper?
Pls make more videos
Pls make tutorial
Tfw you only know who Fuel is because you saw their other art on [certain website]
Where does skye come from?
It was a Zootopia concept character that only appeared once on a single drawing.
Community saw the CA about her and just kinda adopted her as a fan character
what software is this?
Blender
I feel like you could have used less tris
