I always tell new users, be patient with the sequencer, it can frustrate but it's real nice once you get used to it.
I’m hesitant to pull the trigger on this device, I owned the Smpltrek but that one wasn’t for me, hoping this unit improved on those flaws but there were a lot imo
@bagoftrix did you have the smpltrek in its early stages. It did improve tremendously with update 2.0 and 3.0. What exactly did you not like about it. I would say that the lofi12xt is quite a bit more smooth of a workflow.
@@LiftedNoise I had the 3.0 update. I didn’t like that you couldn’t edit chops, the fx were lackluster and limited, and generally it felt like tons of menu diving with an inconvenience around every corner that didn’t really feel they needed to be there.
I also just noticed: is the Lofi Xt really mono sampling/samples only? That would be a giant dealbreaker for me. I dealt with that with the OP-1 and was one of the main reasons I got rid of it in the end. Sometimes you just want the option at least.
@bagoftrix yes Lofi-12 XT is mono samples only. It has a super convenient built in convertor for your samples. You can transfer bulk folders into the convert folder and from there you can convert everything to mono with the 12 xt standalone.

Regarding the deja vu stuff, I think I know what you're talking about. It's a feeling similar to deja vu but you mostly recall every other time you felt the same so it becomes a huge recall of past memories all at once, sometimes extremely overwhelming. I've only ever known creative people describe it. For me it always happens around a time of positivity, maybe a sense that your life is moving forward or just a general sense of inspiration. Am I right?

Some of what you said sounds right. I think the random moments of that de ja vu feeling are also a positive, almost nostalgic moment. But what I experienced at that time in southern California was for over a period of a year, and maybe it was associated with growth not necessarily all positivity, it was right after getting my degree and moving around the state. It was a constant daily experience. I later that year took a trip back home and had an unexplainable experience with the Crosby, Stills, and Nash record of the same name "De Ja Vu" it's a strange world. Thanks for sharing an interest in the topic! 🙏🍻
@@LiftedNoise Yes that sounds about right. Growth is a good way to put it. I've had generic Deja Vu which feels different to this, I've also read about something called Presque vu but that doesn't seem quite the right description. Anyway, really interesting to hear from someone else who has experienced this too 😁
