we NEED this camera. beautiful!
I just recently was accepted and I can't wait to go next year!
This is by far the best university commercial I have ever seen!
This is a really cool video. Going here would make my 4 years of French class mean something.
Very excited to be attending in the Spring!
Luke did an amazing job. As a parent of a graduate of AUP I have to say this video is a great tool for parents and students who wonder what the environment and lifestyle around higher learning for AUP students will be like. I do think there could be a little more student cafe shots and where is Adane? I think Adane, heads security? It seemed to me he was an iconic fixture of AUP life. Bravo on this video ! ~Bobbi-Michelle Wehrfritz proud parent of a AUP graduate
Absolutely. Just go to aup . edu / visitus and sign up for a tour or email the admissions office.
Professor Kazolias!!! The best!
PERFECT! NO WORRIES...exciting
Ahh!! This made me so excited! I am an incoming freshmen this fall!
What a beautiful video!!
I really hope to get in next year can't wait
Yes, from Brussels, Seoul, Wiesbaden, etc.
perfect... just perfect!!!
Thank you!
That's great, keep up the hard work!
It really depends on who you are sitting next to. Probably more English than French, since it's the language of instruction. We do encourage our students to speak French though and there are conversational exchange opportunities every week!
Great Video. Very reminiscent of Cinnamon Chasers - Luv Deluxe
Way to get us freshmen pumped up!
I had the luck of finding a place that was 350 euros a month, and a friend even found a place that was 300 a month. They aren't the Ritz, but they work. Places that cheap are very hard to find, so you may want to be prepared for paying a little more. There's more available in the 400-500 price range.
i can't wait to go :(
Bonjour! We don't collect avg ACT composite, since it is not required for admission. Our students come from almost 100 different countries, so imposing a purely US-centric admissions requirement such as the ACT or SAT on them doesn't make sense to us.
I'm so excited for fall!
Manuela For me the same this year :D. what are you studying there?
Looking Foward Too Applying In 2017.
Hey Isabelle,
The admissions committee would likely ask you to spend a semester or a year at an accredited University in the U.S. to raise your GPA and then apply as a transfer student.
I miss AUP!
Hey Christina,
It would depend on whether they apply towards your HS diploma or not. If they don't, they'd be counted as regular university credits and you would be able to transfer them. Transferring all of them would depend on the classes that you took and whether we can establish an equivalence between the classes at EMU and AUP. In any case, you would receive a formal transfer credit evaluation from us before committing to enroll.
Hope that helps!
I hope to transfer here after I'm done with community college but, that's a few years away ^.^
Hey Christina, unfortunately we don't have any science majors, but there are science courses that are available to take the General Education requirements. Let us know if you want any more information!
This was filmed with a GoPro 2 camera!
Yes, you can do a double major, and two majors is generally the maximum that students do and that is recommended. Of course you can extend your education and do another major, but you'd be better off with a Master's degree than a third BA degree.
I'M IN THE VIDEO HOLLA AT ME !
That's great news! We look forward to seeing you here next year. Don't hesitate to let us know if you have any questions, and don't forget to follow us on Twitter @AUPtweets
We evaluate all complete applications, for more info on admission please have a look at aup. edu / admissions
Hey Louja,
French students usually adapt very quickly to the new system, as it is close to the classroom-style of teaching that they are used to. Obviously, English is a hurdle, but we have plenty of support structures like ARC and the Writing Lab in place to make sure that all of our students succeed. So yes, three years will work just fine!
Hey Rocaddm, congrats on your SAT performance! Since we have students from almost 100 different countries join us every year, we don't require the SAT. However, one element of financial aid is academic performance, so you should submit your SAT scores alongside your transcripts.
I just took my ACT and chose to send my score to AUP. I wish for nothing more than to go to AUP after high school. This video was fantastic! I've been searching for a college for so long, and I've always wanted to live in Paris. This is the best of both worlds. One question, after attending AUP and graduating, is it possible to stay in Paris or is it required to return to your home country? I don't know much about establishing residency in France.
I'm going into my junior year of high school and this seems like a really great university but if I go here will I get an American degree or a French one? It seems really amazing!
What are the requirements for here? I'm an undergrad and my GPA is a 3.1. My current community college is a joke with nearly no abroad opportunities or international/cultural student clubs. I don't have many classes though and I'm not sure if I could afford it :/
please answer , nest year im going to take my igcse board exams , and if i get onto the honor which will take a minimum of 5 As , i shall get a scholarship , if that happens am i legible to apply?
Are there any Science majors or course tracks?
I am totally applying in a year.
@AUPvideos i am in the early college program at eastern michigan university, and we get to earn up to 60 credits. would i apply as a freshman with credit kr as a transfer student? would i be able to transfer all my credkts or just some?
so do the students at AUP speak majority French or English (with each other/every day conversation)?
Hello
I'm a Terminale L student and I was to apply to AUP. I heard that student coming from French schools can get their bachelor in 3 years. Is it a good idea to skip the first year? Do students from French schools adapt quickly to the new system? Or is it better to do the whole four years?
What is the average ACT Composite score?
is it pretty expensive to go over there? I really want to apply next year when im a senior
HOLLA!
found out that i just got in!!!! but still scared about the travel, how's the environment?
Hai ,,,,,I'm coming to next year
Fantastic, can't wait to welcome you to AUP
Hey magiks75, it depends on your nationality. Most EU nationals do not need a work visa to stay in France, other nationalities generally do. If that is the case for you, you will need to find an employer to sponsor your visa application.
Minimum GPA is a 3.0, average GPA is about a 3.3. About 45% of our incoming class is from the U.S., the other 55% are from all over the world!
Hey there, you would earn a fully-accredited American degree. AUP is regionally accredited in the US by the Middle States accreditation organization.
My dream Uni :) big dreams, am only 11. Never went to Paris, and this video encourages me a lot! =D
GoPro!
What are the admission requirements for transfers ?
basically above a 3.0 gpa
Come back for Global Alumni Weekend! May 24th - 27th. Check out 50years . aup . edu
Got accepted, but wasn't able to go because of Financial reasons. :"(
Hey William,
The acceptance pack is sent from Paris, so it may take a while to make it across the Atlantic. Usually, prior to notifying you of your acceptance via email, your counselor will try to reach you via phone to speak to you directly. Can you send me an email at sordelheide at aup.edu with your real name please? Thanks!
