    Luke did an amazing job. As a parent of a graduate of AUP I have to say this video is a great tool for parents and students who wonder what the environment and lifestyle around higher learning for AUP students will be like. I do think there could be a little more student cafe shots and where is Adane? I think Adane, heads security? It seemed to me he was an iconic fixture of AUP life. Bravo on this video ! ~Bobbi-Michelle Wehrfritz proud parent of a AUP graduate

    It really depends on who you are sitting next to. Probably more English than French, since it's the language of instruction. We do encourage our students to speak French though and there are conversational exchange opportunities every week!

    I had the luck of finding a place that was 350 euros a month, and a friend even found a place that was 300 a month. They aren't the Ritz, but they work. Places that cheap are very hard to find, so you may want to be prepared for paying a little more. There's more available in the 400-500 price range.

    Bonjour! We don't collect avg ACT composite, since it is not required for admission. Our students come from almost 100 different countries, so imposing a purely US-centric admissions requirement such as the ACT or SAT on them doesn't make sense to us.

    Hey Isabelle,
    The admissions committee would likely ask you to spend a semester or a year at an accredited University in the U.S. to raise your GPA and then apply as a transfer student.

  • @AUPvideos
    @AUPvideos  Před 11 lety

    Hey Christina,
    It would depend on whether they apply towards your HS diploma or not. If they don't, they'd be counted as regular university credits and you would be able to transfer them. Transferring all of them would depend on the classes that you took and whether we can establish an equivalence between the classes at EMU and AUP. In any case, you would receive a formal transfer credit evaluation from us before committing to enroll.
    Hope that helps!

    @AUPvideos  Před 11 lety

    Yes, you can do a double major, and two majors is generally the maximum that students do and that is recommended. Of course you can extend your education and do another major, but you'd be better off with a Master's degree than a third BA degree.

    Hey Louja,
    French students usually adapt very quickly to the new system, as it is close to the classroom-style of teaching that they are used to. Obviously, English is a hurdle, but we have plenty of support structures like ARC and the Writing Lab in place to make sure that all of our students succeed. So yes, three years will work just fine!

  • @AUPvideos
    @AUPvideos  Před 11 lety

    Hey Rocaddm, congrats on your SAT performance! Since we have students from almost 100 different countries join us every year, we don't require the SAT. However, one element of financial aid is academic performance, so you should submit your SAT scores alongside your transcripts.

    I just took my ACT and chose to send my score to AUP. I wish for nothing more than to go to AUP after high school. This video was fantastic! I've been searching for a college for so long, and I've always wanted to live in Paris. This is the best of both worlds. One question, after attending AUP and graduating, is it possible to stay in Paris or is it required to return to your home country? I don't know much about establishing residency in France.

    What are the requirements for here? I'm an undergrad and my GPA is a 3.1. My current community college is a joke with nearly no abroad opportunities or international/cultural student clubs. I don't have many classes though and I'm not sure if I could afford it :/

    Hello
    I'm a Terminale L student and I was to apply to AUP. I heard that student coming from French schools can get their bachelor in 3 years. Is it a good idea to skip the first year? Do students from French schools adapt quickly to the new system? Or is it better to do the whole four years?

    Hey magiks75, it depends on your nationality. Most EU nationals do not need a work visa to stay in France, other nationalities generally do. If that is the case for you, you will need to find an employer to sponsor your visa application.
