In this video we make the dog that brings the alien into Outpost 31 in John Carpenter's The Thing. Guest starring my dog, Penny #thething #diy #johncarpenter #80shorrormovies #halloweendiy
This is tye most underrated channel on CZcams when it comes to halloween props. But other channels get more views when buying some generic prop from big box store and build it and get thousands of views.Pleaze don't stop making videos guys because I enjoy them so much
That is so awesome of you to say and I can’t tell you how much I appreciate it. I’m in the middle of making a new video now so more are on the way. Again, thank you so so much for watching 🙏🏼🙏🏼🤘🏻🤘🏻
@@HesCrafty good to see I’m not the only 1 who spends a ton of time on a prop that doesnt work out the way you envisioned. Lol. The split open head still looked bad ass!
Thanks, yo! I owe you big time for the Loctite tip. I can’t stop using it! Really wish the sprinkler would have worked as planned. I’m going to keep working on it and see how I can get it looking for Halloween 🤘🏻🙏🏼🎃
Great video, It's refreshing to see people show their creative process even if the project didn't come out like they had expected. Personally I thought it came out rad!
Thank you so much! Very awesome of you to say and it’s much appreciated. I’ve grown to like this one quite a bit, however, I’m working on another prop from The Thing and it’s coming out pretty sweet. Hoping to have the video ready soon. Thanks so much for watching 🙏🏼🤘🏻
Thank you!! That’s very awesome of you to say and I really appreciate it. I have props inspired by The Thing on the way. I’m actually working on one now. Thanks so much for checking out the channel. Much appreciated 🙏🏼🤘🏻
Must be nice that the skeleton props are so cheap in the USA that they can be bought and used for making all sorts of other cool props. They be cut up and mangled and glued and contorted....... Here in Canada, that dog would cost about $75. And the 5ft skeletons are almost $100. Way too expensive to just buy and destroy in hopes of making something better.
Some places are insanely priced. Like 5ft skeletons at Home Depot here are $30. You go to Spirit Halloween here and they are almost $60. I’m not sure why.
@@HesCrafty if I could get skeletons for $30 I would be in heaven......like I mentioned....those same 5ft skeletons here are $100. It's sure not fair. Plus, in the USA you can get packs of 3-5 skeletons, we have to buy them single here.

Bro, that scene in The Thing scared the hell outta me when I was 6 or 7. Super excited for this one!
Heck yeah! Especially the part where the dogs face splits open. Classic film! 🤘🏻🤘🏻

@@tylermarkham3411 Bro, I had to just stop. I worked on this thing so damn long. 😂
Penny absolutely wanted no parts of this 😂
😂 Nope! But she was well compensated with treats for her performance 🤘🏻🤘🏻🐶
Such a classic flick! Love the sprinkler hack!!! You Loctite game is tight. Your really getting a handle on it. Id say its a win!!!

Very creative and entertaining... inspiring me to make some of my favorite horror movie props. Thanks man.

@@Raynestorm1968 Yeah, those prices are crazy. Sorry you have to deal with that.
This is cool could you make a panda mutation creature
Thank you! Much appreciated. Think I could pull off a panda mutation 🤘🏻
Could you make the Omnidroid from the Incredibles but as a working toy?
Oh man, I don’t know. I couldn’t even get this sprinkler thing to work right. 😂 But I’m always up for a challenge
@@HesCrafty Would using a pre existing toy be the right idea? Like a remote control Bb8?
@@erangothewise30 Yes! I think that would work out pretty good. That’s a really good idea
Would have been cool if you opened the mouth and added a long tongue
That’s a great idea. I think I will do that. This is for my Halloween set up this year so I’ve go time to tweak and add things. Thanks 🙏🏼🤘🏻💀🎃
