Got this for Christmas it's an awesome figure, once you've managed to assemble it. Don't bother removing the dog's legs, non of the tendrils fit into the socket joint!

Got this for Christmas it’s a great figure and hats off to NECA for attempting it but they made it overly complicated and fragile. Luckily nothing broke on mine when putting it together but it was difficult. Got it put together and on display now I’ll never touch it again lol.
You have to be patient when building it up. I can recommend running the parts with sockets under hot water as you fit them together as the ball joints sometimes bend. Luckily none of mine snapped.
Great video, I'm leaving mine in the box. I've had bad relationships, go smoother than this dog goes together. I hope NECA revises their peg and joint designs.
one thing you could do for the big arms piece, if you can't safely get the ball peg out of that other piece is to go to a hardware store and see if you can find some of those pegs that you use to rest shelves on when putting together a shelf unit, and if the peg is the right size then it should just go in the hole and then plug in the arms piece. when I get around to putting mine together I might try this myself. (I wish I could post pics so I could show you exactly what I'm talking about)...and then I finish the video and that's basically what you did. lol.
Thankfully, didn't have any issues with mine. I did use a hair dryer to get things warmed up for popping things into place though. That third peg opening on the "arms" section is actually for the leg that comes off that ball joint area. You pop it off, then remove the bottom part and use the top "spikey" leg to plug into that Arm section.
Neca and their cq issues when they are charging so much for their high end figures you shouldn't have to use a hair dryer and there shouldn't be anything breaking at all, it's the double ball hinge that should have been single joints, wanted this set but I'm not gonna bother. Great review spot

lost a peg on one of the spider legs while i was watching this video. so far thats all, but i still have a way to go with the smaller tentacles. awesome figure and hope NECA does some other version of the monster to go along with this.
As much as I love this figure, the ball joints are really hard to deal with. The spider legs forme had one of them buckle so luckly I was able to just set it there and it stays up but yeah it can get frustrating
This figure is such a disapointment..disappointment... I had multiple joints break. I guess I didn't warm pieces up enough, but still. I've been collecting Neca figures for years and this was by far the most fragile.
im sorry to see your figure broke. Theres a youtuber who customized his by replacing the dog with a dog from G I Joe and it fit well and gave the dog more articulation so maybe that might work for ya then you can have the dog with the broken leg as the normal dog so you dont have to buy a extra set
@@TheReviewSpot the dog/crab thing wasn't a big issue,just a little hot water on the dog back piece to get the crab legs in but "stepped on dog" was a whole other issue.i didn't have any breaks but the instructions aren't a huge help and pegging in all those tentacles is no fun, even with hot water.that being said,the finished figures are amazing and if you go back and watch the dog scene from the movie, neca really nailed it.
i got mine from nerdzotic toys.its 59.99 plus tax and del but if you get one in near mint condition you get 10 dollars off..i got mine this way and even the near mint box was practically flawless.
Cool as this figure is to own... Really should've been the minimum cost of $35. Period. That large box is quite deceiving. Its Neca, but.... C'mon, they're smaller accessory figures🤨🙈

i got 2 of them one im gonna glue and other gonna keep in box and maybe open later if needed. great figure just a pain in the butt to assemble

Neca never learned about ball joints. They should've just used the same joint they use for the heads which is just a pin joint
