Chow Yun Fat is the greatest action movie Beretta 92 wielder of all time. Yes, A Better Tomorrow, but Hard Boiled is incredible.
His movies are 🔥
Word!
Uh, no. Just no.
Don´t forget The Killer.
@@doublep1980 you are absolutely correct. The Killer is right up there with the best of them.
I love the Beretta 90 series. Hated it in the military, but love them when they are not ran like a $5 whôre for 20+ years..
😂😂😂😂
Lol
Leons compd 92 from the professional is forever imprinted in my mind
Yes.
General Hummel: You call it what you want! You're down there, we're up here! You walked into the wrong goddamn room, Commander!
Stand Fast!!!!(Commander Anderson) 😉
I got chills
@@1911syndicate 😁
Classic scene
@@Chrisblau Damn right brother...All of a sudden i wanna watch it again..😁😁😁
Chris i actuallyI thought you were gonna say" I will not give that order!" 🤣🤣🤣
You are 100% correct. When they changed out the 92 in live free or die hard, that was a colossal error.
At least they went with the PX4 at some point, but that wasn’t McClain’s gun. He carried a Sig.
They should have had John pick up the 92 instead of the PX4. They owed it to us.
It's because in die hard with a vengeance mcclane loses his beretta on the boat when he gets caught by Simon. But yes by all accounts he should have been given another 92fs instead of the sig 220 in live free or die hard
Sicario 2 was the movie that made me say "ya know what? I need a beretta 92".
Adios...
It was the compact L model i believe. With no rail. I own one. I think they have since been discontinued.
Exactly
100% agreed dude. Thanks for commenting and watching 👊🏼👊🏼👊🏼
Weird, that was the movie that made me say, “You know what? I need a Daniel Defense M4A1.” And now I have one (see short on my channel).
The original Lethal Weapon is my favorite 92 movie.
@@scottyh.6992 k
Literally just bought my 92fs today! Stoked as its my first gun ever!
The Replacement Killers. I remember as a kid when that came out, my dad and I would watch it over and over just because of all of the Berettas and we were huge Beretta fans. Still are to this day!!
How did Equilibrium not make this list?
One of the best good bad movies of all time
@@jakefrye2390 I know it wasn’t perfect. Got over shadowed. Cause it came out right around Matrix as well. But the gun play was interesting, over the top and no realistic but fun. And those 92s were awesome in that movie. Welp now I gotta go watch it lol
I think the tetragramaton berettas beat Leon's when it comes to style
@@darkfishy87 Full Auto, with spikey magazines for melee - Superior to Leons.
Definitely an under rated movie so much awesome gun ninja stuff totally unreal but fun to watch.
I ADORE my Beretta 92. I'd sleep with it under my pillow...if I slept
Just got my Beretta M9A4 this afternoon, perfect timing!
John woo loves his berettas. Damn ner every movie off his has them
I've hear from the old movie gun rental companies that the 92F are the most reliable guns to run blanks with. Probably why John Woo likes using them. Chow Young-Fat mentioned in "The Replacement Killers" he fired so many blank rounds in one day he couldn't eat with chop sticks for a week. 😂
I remember it was Steambridge Gun rentals in 1997 who said the Beretta 92 was the most reliable handgun with blanks in Guns Magazines before they got bought out
@@BrianKern2121 John Woo also likes them because they're quite large as well as high capacity, so they have awesome screen presence and you can shoot them constantly without reloading, something Woo famously never gave a damn about (and even questioned why American moviegoers cared so much about that).
Absolutely
According to an interview by John Woo, he chose the Beretta 92 because the gun looked sexy. Back then, he had basically no knowledge of fire arms whatsover but the design of the Beretta really caught his eye.
Oh hell yeah! An hour long episode on the Movie Pistol I was obsessed with as a child and teenager? _YES!_
Boom
Can’t wait for the class! Great video. The 92 is such an iconic movie gun. 🤙
Thank you for a really good video showcasing the Beretta 92 in movies it really is one of the iconic guns. Like I said in the short that's why I still have it in my rotation only because I carried a M9
Love your channel. Thank you for making this. I don’t know of anyone creating quality content in this style.
32:58 Blasphemy, my good sir. That title still belongs to post bank robbery shootout in HEAT.
The Replacement Killers with Chow Yun Fat dual wielding the Beretta 92 comes to mind
Great one
The kick is Jean-Claude Van Damme signature move. It’s practically in all of his action movies. How did you not know that.
Of course I know that lol
Kicking is his standard move… doing the splits is his signature/special move. Lol
How the hell did I forget about The Professional... Another Jean Reno Beretta 92 awesomeness festival. hell yeah!
I bought this when I turned 21 because of Lethal Weapon. Not a bad sidearm, just a little big and chunky.
M9 is still in service. I was still carrying it when I was still in the Air Force circa 2020, and many shooting teams still have them in the arsenal.
Thank you so much for this presentation, I've forgotten about a lot of these movies from my childhood being so good/average
My 92FS is one of my favorite pistols, I have swapped rear sight to a Beretta adjustable one and a set of Wilson Combat grips, love it
Probably out due to technicality but Broken Arrow with its 93R deserved an honorable mention!
I’m saving the 93r for its own video one day. But excellent call
@@1911syndicate I own one of the two Auto-9’s used in the first RoboCop. With the exception of the 93r frame. Mine was mounted on a Taurus frame (because of the frame mounted safety) for display.
“Broken Arrow” has plenty of 92FS action. It’s a John Woo film, after all.
Carrie-Anne Moss in the matrix was not wielding a beretta 92-her hands were too small-I believe they went with the 84 Fs cheetah-92’s smaller cousin.
Yes! Awesome episode!
👊🏼👊🏼👊🏼
Fantastic video guys
Great job on this video!!!! 👏 👏
Thanks bro
Great video!! I hope it gets more love! “Hey Moe!”
great job guys!!
Love this content
This one gave me the chills as I got reminded of my younger years - my dad, brothers and myself watching vhs action flicks on a Friday night. What an homage to the sexiest pistol ever conceived. 🤙
If you love 92s, check out the movie The Big Hit with Mark Wahlberg. Lots of dual wielding, out of control, fun. Lou Diamond Phillips and Avery Brooks are just classic in that film!
How am I just now discovering this channel? Subscribed.
Awesome Video Guys!
Thanks!
Ok that was funny man, great video 😂
There’s a guy that runs a company called Griffith guns that makes a replica of the comp from The Professional. They cost a fortune but they’re so cool
Definitely agree with Lethal Weapon and Die Hard - the undisputed kings of Beretta 92 movies!
Fun episode!
This inspired me to go to the range with my 92! Need to narrow my friends and try the dual wielding!
Lethal Weapon is by far one of the top 3 trilogies in my opinion where they were all good. The other two were Bourne series and the Matrix. Yes I know there were 4 parts to all of these. But the 1st 3 hands down were amazing.
Boondocks Saints is freaking classic. Soooo good.
Now. Best 92 is definitely the LTT 92G Elite RDO
Being in the military, I didn’t really appreciate the 92 until I got an Ltt Elite 92. Now I own two 92’s and it’s my favorite pistol.
Uff, no Romeo and Juliet tho? The Beretta’s in that movie are truly iconic.
Ahh yes the Dagger 9mm 😂 those went hard.
I’ve got a Beretta 92FS I bought almost 20 years ago. It’s had a trigger job, etc.. It’s the absolute last pistol I’d ever get rid of and I own over 20 different handguns. I recently picked up an M9A4 and love it as well.
Langdon Tactical took my love for the 92 to a new level. Love the 92 and love 1911 Syndicate, so win win.
Cheers mate
These are always surprising to me. the gun movie reviews blended with commentary, always entertaining.
Glad you enjoyed it
I LOVE my Beretta 92X. I bought it because it was the gun from Die Hard and Lethal Weapon, but it is absolutely one of my favorite pistols to shoot.
The tv show Jericho used Beretta’s almost exclusively. They even used a stainless Cougar for one character.
“Clubbed to Death” by Rob Dougan is a nice touch for the intro
One of the greats
You missed out two of THE MOST ICONIC 92s ever in cinema history. The Samurai Edge M92F used by S.T.A.R.S operatives in Resident Evil and the standard issue full auto 92FS of Grammaton Clerics in Equilibrium.
Good video brother
Great video! This list is awesome. I agree that the 92 is the most popular handgun in movie history. Like you said, it's affordable, reliable and easy to mod to fire blanks but the best reason for the 92's iconic movie status: *it's damn sexy*
I think the part in lethal weapon where riggs is preparing to end it, and the scene shows the 92 HYPER clear with the muted background, and the zoomed in shot as he puts the 9mm round in the chamber.. its so artfully done and really shows the lines and beauty of the pistol.
In a dark way yes
Yeah. The grip medallion was not standard at all though. Clearly put in the to identify the brand. Not to mention the scene where Murtaugh checks out Riggs’ gun. I can recite his lines word for word. “Hmm. 9MM Beretta,
15 rounds in the magazine, one in the chamber. Wide ejection port. No feed jams”. Sounded like an intentionally written in commercial and it surely worked.
You got the chance to duel wield these iconic pistols. And I'm happy for you.
Beretta 92 is a great classic hammer gun its one of my favorites I have 4 of them I still need like 5 more.
John Woo's masterpiece HARD BOILED, not on the list???!!!
I like this style vid from you guys, it's a good break to let my wallet recharge
Yeah Jake and crispy crush these kind of videos
I got my Beretta M9 Commercial replica back 2012 it's been in my carry rotation along with my Browning Hi Power and my 1911 😊
Love this! GTS is a legit addition to the family.
Yeah got the Beretta 92a1. Love it so much. Its used in the bourne trilogy my personal favorite spy series. Jason Bourne uses it in bourne supremacy and an assassin uses it in the Bourne ultimatum. Jason uses the 92FS and the assassin uses a variation the 92SB.
Leon the Professional, Boondock Saints, are a couple that are awesome.
I never notice the spaz12 in that matrix scene so dope makes that scene even better
I picked a PX4 as my beretta representative. 92 is generic for how long its been around. If I got a 92, I'd turn it into a Resident Evil kendo shop special.
My first handgun is a surplus 92S and I still love it.
This is exactly what I’ve been thinking the last few months and I was born in the 80’s. I’ll have a 92 in the next couple months.
My very first pistol was a 92fs literally because of Die Hard and Lethal Weapon. Totally agree with the reasons for the #1 and #2 spot but with all the great movie clips, I’m surprised you left out the scene in the first Lethal Weapon where Riggs hands Murtaugh his 92fs and he’s literally calling out the model and specs like it’s a Beretta ad within the movie, lol.
Loved this video and the intro was great 👍
Thanks for watching and commenting. Jake crushed this video and Crispy killed the edit.
I love the Samurai Edge custom Beretta 92s from Resident Evil
I have the Beretta 90-2 , and now the M9A4. I'm retired ARMY and grew up with the M9/92FS except for my last 12 years where I was on the SF side of the fence and we used Glock 19's. Both are great secondary's and ya can't go wrong with either.
Not a movie, but what made me fall in love with the Beretta 92 was the video game Max Payne
Fast forward 20+ years and I love my LTT 92 RDO
Have a m9a3 got it when they made the odg version which I guess was limited.Iconic pistol in cinema and the gun world.
Boondock Saints should've been higher on the list - Matrix barely shows the 92 - Boondock rocks that shit the whole show.
I am a huge fan of the Beretta's Brazilian cousin, the Taurus PT92.
Please do this for ars and 1911s love this video
Equilibrium should have been on the list instead of Underworld, it also features a protagonist who dual wields full auto 92s but the aesthetic mods for them are much better, the style of dual wielding is the best in all of cinema and though it's also a movie about nerd stuff it's much more high minded and thought provoking nerd stuff, though just as cheesy
Most iconic for me: dual wielding 92s in Counter Strike.
100% dude
Another one is battle of Los Angeles, still great movies listed. Sicario 2, the professional & the rock
I'll admit the two pieces of cinema I think of when I see a Beretta is Die Hard...and Black Lagoon.
You can really tell how much yall enjoy making these. Love it and can’t wait for more. USP WEN
Very soon
A couple of films that really should’ve made it to this list. 1, A Better Tomorrow 2 the absolute amazing gun play in that movie with the 92 duel wield is insane. The part in the building sliding down the stairs and then in the house at the end. 2, Nemesis 1992 the modification on the 92 in that movie is beautiful. Two films I think where the 92 was almost a big a part as the actors. Lethal Weapon is definitely the most iconic though and the first movie I saw the gun in as a kid and loved it from there on. 🙌🏻
While I do dig Hard Target, a beter movie in that vain is The Replacement Killers. If you are a 92 fan it is one of the best.
Great Boondock pull!
Lethal Weapon is the reason I chose the Beretta 92 as my first duty weapon.
the 92 is also featured heavily in Resident Evil. also appears in the Resident Evil Movies.
Hard Target!!! I had totally forgotten that movie until seeing this video.....didn't make me want to buy a 92.....but I am buying a Blu-Ray
Come on man! The Rush Hour series, The Bourne Identity, The Stargate movie, we NEEDED an honorable mentions list at the very least lol
What holster are you using for your Beretta 92
Should have included “The Corrupter” with Chow Yun Fat and Mark Wahlberg. That was a classic 92FS movie. Should have came in the top four.
Mmmmm slipped by me
Lethal Weapon’s sound for the 92’s sound firing and Dirty Harry’s Smith and Wesson’s 29 sound are probably my favorite sound being fired. Well… Maybe the Pulse Rifle….
Let’s all just agree that 80’s and 90’s sturdy men were the real heroes.
In Romeo + Juliet there are some nice looking 92s, too. Although I can’t recall how they are portrayed in firefights…
Facts!
Dude I really forgot about Hard Target having Beretta92 scenes... Dang - gotta re-watch it now. (edited for spelling)
I 100% agree with 1 & 2 in my younger days we called the 92 "the Riggs" It is one I want for my collection and still dont have.
"Boudreaux, Boudreaux, Boudreaux. I've been looking all over for you. "
"You've been looking in the wrong places."
"That's good, 'cause I know you wouldn't want to hurt my feelings."
Even tho it was an 84. Charles bronson put in work with one in Death Wish. I always gotta call out the death wish series when i can 🫡rip mr. Bronson
Tonight on 1911 Syndicate: The Beretta 92F is still popular amoungs thoses who never was issued a M9 after 1985, the Marathon GSAR gets a full power up with the bump fire sequence, and Jake is the Chow Yung-Fat from the trailer park flea market......
Sure does help if you use the right magazines and don’t use your guns as hammers and wheel chalks.
@echofoxtrotwhiskey1595 Not mention actually doing maintenance and spring replacements. Our M9's were beaten to death from over cleaning.
I wanna be friends with Chow Yun so bad
In the first Lethal Weapon there’s a deleted scene where Riggs takes out a school sniper with his Beretta, mag dumps at the window then reloads. BADASS
The new 92x rdo models are perfect, they fixed the enormous grip, fixed the da trigger and fixed the reset, and it’s still the best suppressor host.
