- Humminbird & MinnKota Engineers are working together to make it easier and offer more functionality between these to sister companies. Learn some of the products I use and what it means to me. This is an overview of a new series of videos showing the Features, advantages & benefits of a One Boat Network.
Get the Ultrex if you are on a lake with deep drop offs. I fish a lot in 13-15 feet of water in the summer months for crappies from 8 PM - 9:45 PM. I go back and forth in about a 300 yard stretch. The Ultrex is what you want for this type of trolling because the cord won't wrap around the shaft. Now if you fish out in deep water and have a really long ways to troll, then pure electric steer is probably find because you won't have to walk a tight rope and can turn around easier manually.
hi. i am planning to a one boat network and i want to know if i can use a basic helix 8 shirp in the bow and use my gn3 helix 10 mega si to share the information from the mega si transducer in the back to the front and vis versa and passing through my terrova mega di?
Do you have a problem with your humminbird giving a double bottom reading? Sometimes mine won’t give me the correct reading and messes up my auto chart
That is the way to find them super hard rocking areas of the bottom since I been using sonar. I do see them and know Humminbird is working on improving reducing the amount of double echos and I'm having to relearn how to find those special areas.
One boat, one network... Does that mean my Ion will now work with a Solix or a Helix or an Onix?
I have not used the ION and know it's different than the ONIX/SOLIX and will not network. One Boat Network is the current product line.
Thanks for the input Doug. So - will my Solix network with a Helix and/or and Onix?
SOLIX and ONIX units can share sonar & nav data. HELIX with network but share only Nav Data.
Thanks again Doug
One more question Doug - Will the network allow Lakemaster lakes on the consul to be viewed on the bow - without buying a second Lakemaster map card???
