I could listen to this dude a million times over and never get bored and always learn something new. I was born and raised an hour or so south of Baltimore and still actually live there. I’ve followed this dude forever. I was also a heroin addict or better yet addicted to anything and everything that made me feel better. I’ve seen him speak live a few times, I’ve read his books and my god sometimes I feel like he’s telling my story. I’ve been clean a little over 7 years and my god I’ve never been more grateful in my life for peace and serenity❤. This was hands down one of my favorite interviews you’ve ever done. ❤
Great to see how far you've made it ian. Brandon is definitely one of my favorite people to watch being interviewed
Thanks so much! He’s the man
@@ianbickCTno. He a straight lying ass fool this real shit. Grew up around em. Got u fooled
I swear I’ve listened to Brandon tell his testimony multiple times & each and every time I’m able to take away something new from his story. He’s been vital in my recovery as a former addict. I was so excited to see you finally posted this interview, I had been waiting for it since you posted the picture of you two! Thanks, Ian, great job keep it going! 😊
I used to love Novak on CKY and Viva La Bam . I was a heroin addict too , and incredibly strung out . I don’t agree with him that the 12 steps can help any addict , because it never helped me at all. But I respect him for helping addicts . Just celebrated 6 years sober November 27
I don’t agree with 12 step at all the recidivism Rate is pathetic and would not be tolerated in any other area or business. Specifically I don’t agree with constantly telling yourself that you are an addict. In any other instance you would need to do the opposite to to find success. You been to embody what you desire y to be and live like it exists already in this case it would be sobriety. My belief is at some point you are no longer an addict. You can’t constantly harp on the past if you want to change your future. No wonder they have a 92% failure rate in 12 step.
I’m sorry but to me it’s like everything else it’s about the almighty dollar if you cure the patient the you no longer have the patient that revenue source is done. The program is designed to treat long term not heal To prove that it’s no different that anything else in medicine rarely do the cure it’s about long term treatment to keep big pharmaceutical happy
Did you work the steps all the way through with a sponsor?
Or gave up
Did u let old men eat u up too ?
@@Sncedayonenah.., he gave up to follow in the footsteps of Brandon n let a room full of naked old men such em off

bro signed my converse at my last rehab 2018
This is probably my favorite episode. I’m a vet and have been struggling with alcohol use for almost 20 years. I can fully relate to Mr. Novak and I want sobriety as well. Barely touched drugs but alcohol was my thing.
Edit: and I’m 38 so same year to get sober. I know I have to make a change and stick with it for once.
Thank you for your service, and your time to comment. Idk you or your story but listening to Novak is a good sign for your sobriety, just lean into it
lmao your drug is at the corner store for a dollar or two, you don't know about real addiction.... when people cast their sexual morals and sometimes sexual PREFERENCE at the door..... you don't feel the stigma of being an "addict" cuz your drug is legal.
go to detox get a week long Ativan taper for the shakes n seizures, give your life up to God and work the 12 steps.
it'll change ur life.
You can do it ❤ I believe in you
His team tried to get me in treatment when I called his cell. I have 5 months clean brandon saved my life!!
That’s awesome bro. Stick with it. It’s worth the ride.
Dude that’s great !! Just keep at it , after a year or two , you won’t even think about it anymore . Gets so much easier . I’m happy for you
No he didn't "save ur life" . Ur $ or the donations of others "saved ur life" as well as line their pockets. Bet ur life wouldn't a meant shit had $ signs not been attached to it
No YOU saved your life dude 🎉I’m in rehab atm I graduate on Monday after 8 weeks, Novak has been such an inspiration ❤
Working in the detox/rehab world I heard a lot of insane stories, and novaks story was one we used to show to our patients, it’s incredible. On another note, you should have a clinician/therapist that used to be an addict on the show. They are some of the greatest people.
Pretty cool getting Novak on.
Seems like he’s ready.
Only thing he's ready for is to tell some more straight bullshit n lies. He's ABSOLUTELY ready to suck another man off !!!
I love this man. Such a beautiful storyteller.
Can I just take a second to point out how incredibly bright and lovely Brandon’s eyes are! 😱🤩🥰✨
U look great from the back 😊
@@carlosbent5046 huh?
Run into Brandon every once in a while. Great guy. Last I saw him was at the ridge skateboarding documentary premiere here in Baltimore. First time I’ve seen him and I wasn’t on drugs (minus the few times I met him when I was a kid) and got to tell him how much he’s helped me clean up. Always down to take a picture with you too. So glad he’s healthy and thriving. We really didn’t see that coming lol
This another good 1, have seen Brandon on many different pods... each 1 i learn something more about him and the whole situation of the life he had and had...
We all matter & are worth it 🙏🏼❤️🤍💙🙏🏼
Novak's Story is amazing not just what he was apart of or what he went through but what he's doing after the fact of getting sober and spreading the message to help people like you and me the guy is an inspiration and deserves to be praised
44:32 - He clearly has taken ownership of his life with the same honesty we see here. By this approach, I could see his talks helping those struggling with addiction. Just be honest. Be real.Appreciate the story. 55:29
brandon turner is a professional skateboarder 😅 he skated pro for Shortys back in like 01, and he can still switch hardflip wallenberg😅
Hands down best interview u have done novac said some of the realist shit. Made me look back to my past and and what I've been thru and look at it totally differently
Yo bro Novak!!! Now u made it fucking love that dude he's an inspiration to me!
Loved this interview, haven't done any heroin but the upbringing and alcoholism and pills and other drugs! On a better path now thou, smoking and drinkin sometimes but it is what it is, working and paying my bills! Loved your 100 episode with your father, have to check out the other one, just started watching the videos a week ago or something keep doing this bro!
Dealing with my wifes brother and his addiction. Seeing you gives some hope that he could have a normal life if he ever decides to give it up
Let’s give it up for Brandon 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
Great show 💯
Good one.. keep going novak!
i loved this episode🔥
Its trash
Bro ur pod is gonna bloowww tf up with amazing guests like this love it as usual
Having trash on like this definitely isn't helping dude out. His newest video released 3 days after this has already surpassed it in views. Literally just released today. Ain't no 1 but nut riders watching n commenting
Read his books. I have them all including the graphic novel. Sober two years just got interview today at 4pm.

Brandon is a cool dude. I have a lot of time for him.
I met Tony Hawk in Anaheim back in 2014 at the Robotics competition coolest most chillest down to earth guy
I was addicted to pain killers for almost 15 years. I’m so lucky I never had to go on Heroine and always keep my job and family. I was a functional addict. I am still
On
Suboxone 2 years later at age 48 but man Novak is inspirational. I’m so proud of you Novak
Same here man. I have been addicted since i was 18 im 30 now been on subs for the last 6 years
Question: any issue with your teeth at all due to the suboxone?
Oral narcotics are dangerous. Good for you man. Keep at it.
Yes my teeth started getting bad anyway and i had perfect teeth, but being on these i got a bunch cut out a year ago nd will be getting the rest out real soon so idk if it is the subs or no calcium in my teeth bc i dont have any calcium in my teeth either so idk
@@earthgod6231 I’ve seen and read that the subs have some sort of acid in them that takes the calcium off your teeth and they get brittle. Apparently there’s lawsuits out there about it. Just wanted to ask someone who’s been on them consistently if it were true or not? Keep going brother..
Living foward, learning from the past
Ian dude you are blowing up! Fast becoming my favourite podcaster. Love the shoe dude!

Wow, 🎉 very interesting story & a solid dude helping out where he can. Without a doubt Ian- all time best guest to date & you have hit some home runs in the past but this was a Grand Slam brother !

Wait Brandon mentioned Brick Township that's literally where I'm at that's crazy I never knew that they were out here like that😅
You should try and get Booker T on the show
Funny this podcast wasn’t really even your normal about extreme prison sentences, fraud, etc, but this was one of my favorite ones.
Never wore the jyncos but I remember them I had on the girbauds with the strap in the front damn he brought me back to middle school when he said jynco 😂😂😂
Not the girbauds 😂😂😂😂 when I was 8, my grandma got me a pair on JNCO jeans , ny dad said “those look dumb “ and threw them away 😂😂😂

Finally a change of intro
Intro has been changed for a couple months now! Haha
I'm bored with his ego and who he knows and what he wants but it's a great channel that's my opinion.
Brandon, Yous a real one. I FWU Since 2005. S/O Baltimore City AKA Bodymore Murderland. When he said "Should I let a dude blow me for a bag of heroin" I FELT THAT... My 1st thought was, "How much heroin we talking" SMH I need help 😔
Brandon basically blowing the game. He has no idea who you are, his agent just booked him onto another podcast
Damn! I heard him essentially say exactly what you stated, but I missed this profound notion that is true in all likelihood & only upon reading your comment, did your perception ring true to me.
Great catch, wise observation.
I really hope he allows this simply to put his message out there to help others, & I feel this may be true because he's not needing money from self-promotion, or selling a product, thankfully because he's sober & he's realized how important speaking the truth is, regardless of how humiliating & embarrassing Said truth may be.
😂 💯 I REMEMBER SEEING THIS DUDE DOWN THE WAY IN PHILLY WHEN I WAS COMING FROM MY MAINTENANCE GIG ABOUT TO HOP ON THE EL BUT WAS WAITING TO FINISH MY CIGARETTE FIRST BEFORE I WENT UP TO THE PLATFORM HE WAS STANDING ON THE CORNER THIS WAS YEARS AGO ANYWAYS THIS OLD GUY PULLED UP LOOKED LIKE THEY KNEW EACH OTHER BUT THE OLD GUY DEFINITELY HAD $$ MUSTA BEEN ONE OF HIS SUGAR DADDIES BUT NOVAK RUNS OVER TO THE CAR AND WAS LEANING DOWN TALKING AND FLIRTING WITH HIM LIKE THE HOOKER'S BE DOING, THE OLD GUY PULLED HIS ARM OUTSIDE THE CAR AND WAS GRABBING NOVAKS BUTT FROM UNDER THE BACK OF HIS JEANS THEN THEY SAID SOMETHING TO ONE ANOTHER AND HE RUNS AROUND TO THE PASSENGER SIDE AND GETS IN AND THEY RODE OFF, IT ALL HAPPENED WITHIN 2 MINUTES TOPS, AT FIRST I JUST THOUGHT IT WAS A REGULAR MALE PROSTITUTE OR WHATEVER BUT AS I WAS TRYING TO FIGURE OUT WHY HE LOOKED SO FAMILIAR I PUT IT TOGETHER BY THE TIME HE LEFT, EVEN THE GUY THAT WAS OUTSIDE THE EL SAID SOMETHING ABOUT IT TO WHOEVER HE WAS WITH. I HERD HIM SAY YEAH THAT'S THE JACKASS DUDE AS I WAS ABOUT TO WALK UP THE STEPS. ILL NEVER FORGET THAT DAY
Glad you got that all out?

Brandon and Steve-O have came so far
you didn't link a single thing of Novak's in the description. not even an IG
His website is linked with everything…
I still find it hilarious how people say or complain that Brandon tells the same story over and over I'm just like well what do you want him to do change his truth like if that's the case go listen to another addict story😅😅
Gotta get ricer miata chris rudnick on the show!!! ,,,and cleetus mcfarland
JNCO's yeah!....ok im 40 yes old....lol
It's a slippery slope having being sober and recovery as your whole personality, job, pretty much his whole identity because if something happens and he relapses he has a reason to not tell anybody as to not jeopardize the whole business. It won't be good business for mr recovery to be in an ally shooting heroin because a relapse.
He sounds like he’s reading from a script. It’s exceptionally hard to think he’s genuine!
It might seem harsh but something just irks me about him
Yep same thing everytime. He has always been and always will be a scammer..He is a rehab broker getting paid big money to keep rehab beds full..It's big business and insurance companies pay big.

No hate against your guest of today at all. But I noticed you’ve been taking in guests that kinda go around and appear on different podcasts. I listen to a lot of them so for example I’ve listened to Novak in a different podcast and not super interested in listening to the story again. What always drawn me to your pod was listening to maybe not so famous but real people with a good story. I think you still have a lot of potential and growth in that area and going back from these type of guests to the original ones might be little tricky. Its up to you ofcourse what to do with the pod but I believe that is part of the reason you grew so big so fast. You bring the best out of those kind of people thats your strength. I understand you wanna grow but I believe you will grow bigger and better staying more true to yourself. Anyways. Big fan that’s why I kinda took the time to give my 2 cents. Not that anybody cares I know but maybe just had to get it out hahaha anyways. Love from the Netherlands 🇳🇱
Appreciate the support and feedback! Our focus is guests that haven’t been on other channels but sometimes we do have to pepper guests that have shared their story to build relationships but ultimately I prefer stories that are untold!
Thought the same, this dude isn't that interesting. Love the channel though.
I’ve ended listening to it and I wanna make my compliments how you did the interview and the angle you took! Best question imo asking about the getting sucked for dope “how was that”? Haha I’m just messing with you my friend you did outstanding. I’m standing behind my previous words but you did do it the right way 👍🏼
