What he said about not saying the amounts because it will cause other people to try to justify their losing, that was probably one of the most insightful things I’ve heard in awhile. Wow! What a different way to look at it.
This podcast episode made me lock in some bets 💪💪💪
😂😂😂😂
As someone who is up $30k in the past forty days through sports betting and recently won a million dollars through DFS, I cannot relate to this podcast. Don't gamble if you don't know what you're doing. It's that simple.

Gambling addiction is no joking matter what-so-ever. Some people are different than the next. I have seen an uncle of mine lose their house over this. My aunt, uncle and my 4 cousins had to move in with us for 2 years until he got back on his feet. That was his rock-bottom and he’s a huge inspiration of mine for how he has overcome that obstacle. Rob, you are just as big of an inspiration as he was, glad to see you doing bigger and better things!
As the wife on a previous gambling addict, I’ve seen the destruction of this disease. It covers all ethnicities, genders, wealth classes, it doesn’t discriminate. It will destroy everything. I’m glad to see people talking about it as it affects more people than you know! Thanks for this interview, Ian!!
Thanks, genius.

Really interesting topic, especially considering how young this guy is to be so aware that when he hit rock bottom, you really have to stop digging, and get help. I really wonder if some people are predisposed to addiction, whether it be alcohol, gambling, drugs etc, and how to counter that before lives are ruined.
You’re in my Top 5 Ian. Actually my #1 “Go To” podcast right now. Your comments and questions are so insightful and measured.
one of my favorite interviews. this guys is sooooo smart!
Amazing interview as usual Ian !!! Thanks for hard work !
Thank you so much!!!
29:04 I’ve never heard it put that way but it makes a ton of sense if you think about it most people who are gambling addicts aren’t stupid if anything they’re more often then not smarter than the average human but when he said that they view it as a challenge to the ego I think that’s super accurate based on what I’ve seen via family members who’ve been addicted.
Couldn't agree more! I am 50 and have been gambling steadily (sports, horses, casinos, etc.) since 17 and that is why I beat myself up at times. "How can u be this bright but be so fn dumb at the same time"? lol. I am a 'realist' when it comes to gambling. I have no issue saying when I lose and how much (depending who it is lol). If I was given 3% of total losses in those 33 yrs I could retire from my job that pays very well.
Another awesome show , I wouldn't expect anything else.
This guy is great!!! So insightful
Danbury resident here. I freaking lost 3500 two weeks ago and I’m still kicking myself in the ass for it. Kept placing higher bets from being upset. $hit is real F me

Sweet interview, Ian. Keep it up
i like this guy, really chill vibe
To answer Ian's Q: "how does someone know how much credit to give you"? I believe Rob said something about 2k/wk but didn't elaborate much. As someone who has been a bookie and still "helps" online agents, it's always a guess for how much to give for max per bet and credit line. It depends how much u know about the person AND who is was referred by. No one shows paystubs lol so it's all in how seasoned the agent is in knowing what to ask the player to determine that. AND, watching every play entered for weeks, along w/ontme pmnts etc. The big PROBLEM is almost everyone has more than 1 online acct so if given 5k/wk from one, he likely has at least 3-10x that much between all of the accts.
great episode ian
Thanks so much!!!
Rob a good dude. Doing Gods work
Although im not a big fan of Ian, this was a great interview! It was awesome to hear something different! The guest was great! And Ian, i really enjoyed this one, good job man!
Thanks bro!
@ianbickCT keep more of those coming bro! And you're welcome!
First time seeing this guy and the red cheeks baby face with the arm sleeves looks so funny 😂
I watch gambling channels to help myself not go gamble my own money. Most of what I watch though does show them loosing thousands of dollars with very rare wins. Also, most of their income comes from the views and subscribers over wins. I'm avid on only gamble what you could just give to someone and be okay. You are most likely going to give it to the casino, so why not give it to a friend or homeless person who could use and appreciate it so much more. There are a few people who post videos of them loosing millions of dollars. For all those out there, don't let anything take control of you and your values. Addiction comes in so many forms. If you need help, reach out to a loved one.
Unf., some of his info is incorrect. BUT, I give him credit bc he's trying to help others so I'm not criticizing, just trying to help. Re: credit cards...he said "you can buy gift cards (for casino) at casino gas station using your cc and use to gamble". No casino sells gift cards that can be used for gambling. The gc can only be used in stores, bars, restaurants etc. Also, u can't keep charging $500 to bank acct if that's ur bal (even if it's a weekend). Banks hold debit card charges/authorizations/purchases. Again, just trying to help. Been gambling steadily for 35 yrs (sports gambling daily for yrs).
I have quite literally seen betmgm gift cards at the wawa

There are so many gambling addicts, probably more then thos effected by drugs. The difference is it is not illegal to use a bookie but illegal to buy most drugs.

A gambler who doesnt want to talk about the price of his wagers? Im out.
He didn't have a gambling problem. He had a discipline problem
Common misconception about problem gamblers. It’s a dopamine problem in the brain, not a matter of self control or lack of intelligence or discipline. I do understand how people come to that conclusion so it’s important to have conversations like this to build awareness of the truth. Still on us to get better tho and improve ourselves
@@rob_odaat sounds like the blame game to me, oh my dopamine blah blah. Loser

Don't gamble. Ever. It's never enough money
You were on bovado no wonder you lost lol
It is not a good idea to share details about how to run scams.
apparently neither of you know what it means to hedge your bets? you don’t lose a hedged bet, you bet on the opposite to lower the amount you’ll win, but guarantee a win nonetheless
if i have a 3 leg parlay thats $100 to win $500 down to the last leg, and say the opposite of my last leg pays 3-1. if i place $100 on the opposite, either my initial bet wins and i win $500, or the opposite will win and i will win $300. both of those numbers are better than the $200 i risked and it is a guarantee that one of the teams will win
@@lilbov8524bro you’re making no sense you realize if you hedge a ongoing game for one leg of the 3 leg parlay there’s still 2 games to go even if you hedge one you still have 2 to go if you hedge both of those there’s still one game to go if that last leg doesn’t hit you just lost your hedge and the parlay 😂💀🙏
@@tanner9956your an idiot. Try reading properly. He clearly said if it’s down to the last leg.
@@tanner9956almost like he said down to the last leg, lmao. Never seen so many slow people in the comments.
@@tanner9956i think he meant by if its down to the last leg, the first 2 games had already won...
If the opposite on the last game pays 3 to 1.. then he has an active bet on it of 375 to pay 500 (assuming the first 2 wins paid approximatley 1.875 to 1 each. Or the parlay for the first 2 wouldve equaled 375 with a 100 bet in other words)
At that point maybe he has second thoughts about letting his bet ride, which youd have to do if you arent hedging and in the 3 game parlay obviously. So if the favorite team for the 3rd game only pays 1 to 3, his 375 live bet is essentially getting locked up by hedging for another 100.
Either he will make 300 by having the triple lay win...
Or he will win 100 with the hedge...
The 300 is mor likely so on average he may be closer to winning 250 lets say... which is close to the 275 he wouldve netted from the first 2 game parlay.
The vig or the house edge may not actually be 25 dollars here for hedging (or betting on another outcome) but im just using it as an example
Oh gambling on your phone is so dangerous give me a break.. People are weak and that is why they have addictions!
You are a total moron. Bet there are alot of skeletons in your closet. You're trying to sound smart but come off sounding like a tard.
Bro u gotta change ur mics out man , I love ur podcast but I legit cannot listen to them hearing the “glicking” dry mouth noise people make . It’s literally like nails on a chalkboard
A lot of the stuff this guy is saying isn't even true, keep in mind this dude was a gambling addict and probably got out of his mind during his battles with his vice, not trying to hate on him, but he's kind of conspiratorial, just saying things he thinks are true based on his own personal opinion
I want to listen to this so badly but the sound of saliva in his mouth or lack-there-of is killing me
