As a previous Speed3 owner, the straight pipe sounded waaaay better
nah
I love how refined it is now. The modified exhaust sound without the shouty "here I am" presence
Glad to see u in mazdaspeed 3 content again.
Easily my favorite channel on CZcams 💪🏽
In regards to around 9:06 when you were having a hard time getting the bolts on, instead of tightening one side then the other, hand thread both before you tighten it and they should both go on without needing to remove any hangars
Thanks mom I know
It has a Subaru boxer tone to it, I love it
That’s exactly how my Speed6 sounded when I got it. Had to change that straight back to a Magnaflow setup
Shoutout to panda, I’m a stl local and they’ve been putting on for ms3 and st community for years now
I've only had my speed a years but good looks I'll look into them
That is so clean 👌
I had a 2009 Mazdaspeed3 and it was my favorite car. Your doing a great job with this one I really enjoy the content.
Agreed! I loved my 09 MazdaSpeed3. Sold it back in August and regret the hell out of it. But now I have an 06 hawkeye STI and if any car can replace my speed3, it's this thing
Agreed man, love my 08 speed3 . I prefer it to my 17 Giulia TI. 😁
@@vinnyc7738 how does the hawkeye compare? I'm looking for something that's just as exciting as a gen juan
@@marcov9808 I had a full bolt on speed3(minus a turbo) and my sti is also full bolt on(minus a turbo). The sti is definitely a lot faster. But they're both so much fun to drive. I do miss the signature torque steer of the speed though. Overall, the STI is a better driving experience. Even with the upgraded suspension on my speed(coilovers front/rear sway bars, lower tie bar) the STI handles a lot better. And the power delivery is extremely smooth, whereas my speed the power hit, and hit hard. But if you're looking for an exciting car to replace the gen Juan, the Hawkeye is definitely a good choice.
@@vinnyc7738 yeah I'm definitely gonna keep the speed though u would love a 2nd car to save mileage on both. I'm waiting to check out the new sti if it's hideous I'm thinking of going current gen sti. The new gr86 is also very appealing
my gosh. love how fast the vids coming out
The grind doesn’t stop! 🤘🏼
With my gen 1 I did 3" from the turbo back. It sounded pretty good. Since I have installed equal length headers and CST4 turbo @ 25lbs of boost it got deeper and sounds great. Cam upgrade that k04 turd that would be an amazing give away
Hey Cam, maybe you can go over the kind of tools you guys have. The brands and why that is. A lot of us are DIY people so it could be rather helpful.
There’s a list in the description
He already does read the description of any video
@@thicok4555 12 days late bub, thanks anyway
I use matco and cornwell. Brands like craftsman are good if you’re a weekend warrior but if u got the dough, get matco. It’s life changing
much better boys!
was gonna comment where's the downpipe? can't wait to hear it after that install
will you guys add more sti stickers to the website before the sale ends?
Where did you get the aftermarket exhaust kit from Amazon or Ebay.?. Sounds nice.
How do you guys keep that car lift from taking weather damage?
Damn. Making me want to modify my speed. Mine is black speed gen1 too .. has +200K miles but still going strong.
damn hows the speed, she still going?
Sold my 2016 Sti because of a new baby and house but damn bro, watching these videos just makes me miss it more 😔
Hows the drive on the resonator delete
When you said that was the downpipe under the car that was incorrect, that’s just the downstream cat if you look just upstream of it then you’ll see that there’s and additional flange connecting to the downpipe
Thats where the downpipe goes to on these cars, as he stated. all the aftermarket ones I've seen replace the first 2 sections of exhaust with one single pipe. Makes it real fun to thread it through the bottom of the car up to the turbo
Definitely needs a downpipe now, it sounds quieter than a stock exhaust lol.
Still wanna win it though
Did you need a tune for the exhaust?
If you mind me asking wondering how much your lift cost. I am looking at one for 3k.
Had catless dp, test pipe, and the Cobb exhaust on my old Speed. Loved it because it wasn't overly obnoxious like a straight pipe but was definitely loud when you wanted it to be and had an amazing tone. What part of AZ are you in? I'm in AZ😂
do you have vids of it? this is the exhaust system that i want and jw what it sounded like
@@sauer1587 I had my MS3 so long ago I actually forgot what exhaust was on it lol. It had a Corksport cat back instead of Cobb but still sounded great. Have a video on my channel if you'd like to hear it.
i have an 08 speed had it for a few months and it just started knocking😔 i’m bummed and have to rebuild the whole engine how do it enter?
bro what is the full name detailed of the exhuast? I wanna put it on my mazda 3
Man I wish Mazda would bring these back in a similar model.
Holy shit I’ve never seen a mazrust that rust free 😮👏
I have a 2005 mazda hatchback Sport 2.3L , I wished i had a speed but im grateful to be apart of the mazda family lmao 🤣 btw this my first mazda
Do you need to tune for a catback
Those this exhaust work on the na model???
I hope I can enter before it ends ö
When’s the deadline???
quieter than stock
Is a tune needed for this exhaust, I want this on my car, currently have a stock exhaust setup, I have upgraded hpfp internals
No, a tune is not required
I'm just curious how you feel about Speed3 vs the ST you had. I have an ST now.
He made a video dedicated to this exact question
Question? Does yours smoke now? I put a downpipe into racing pipe. Catless and Smokes now. I guess the first genes do. I got a second gene valve cover does it fix the smoke? Just curious if you have had that issue
usually depending on the color of the smoke, it indicates blown turbo seals.
If I'm from a different country can I have chance to enter to the giveaway?
Is the unequal length headers responsible for that subie rumble sound? It sounds good.
yes
Yeah it has UEL headers from factory but that's what makes it special.
He really revved it as soon as he turned it on😂😂
Loves these cars, what happens if u win the car n ur from the uk?
I think it’s probably North America only.
That sawzaw is way better than my Harbor freight one 🤣
Yes sirrrrr!
I currently own a 2008 mazdaspeed3 but it’s throwing a p2006 code rn, debating if I should get after market stuff but then I’d have to upgrade hpfp etc, any advice?
P2006 is usually caused by a small piece of plastic breaking on the Intake runner flaps. it's supposed to press a linear switch just in front of the HPFP, you can fix it for free by repositioning the switch. If your gonna mod your speed at all HPFP internals should be the first thing you get, its insurance against leaning out and blowing your motor.
Will a down pipe and a catback replace the whole exhaust?
Looking into trying to put together the cheapest turbo back exhaust for my ms3.
yes long down pipe wikl replace 1st and 2nd cat and catback will change the resonators and mufflers
get hpfp and tune ready before installing downpipe
@@colerobinson3624 where can I find a long down pipe? Is that different than just a down pipe?
I already have fuel pump internals, intake, and tune. Just need a touch up tune I'm guessing
Cobbs the best sounding exhaust for the gen 1 👍
Do corksport catback sound good?
@@ryandonaldson1275 Corksport catback sounds great. It's just a matter of price point for most people. You have the higher end, more expensive catbacks (I.E. Cobb, Corksport, CP-E, Ultimate Racing, etc) and then you have your mid level priced catbacks such as HKS, TurboXs, or CNT. CZcams videos do an okay job portraying them all.
@@ryandonaldson1275 ive had both a gen 1 and gen 2 speed 3 in my opinion cobb makes the best sounding exhaust it is quiet but when you add your downpipe the sound is so good 👍
@@ryandonaldson1275 im also not really a fan of corksport products lol
Wheres the impreza coupe
does ANYBODY know if coilovers that fit on a mps would also fit in just a normal mazda 3 of the same year
Yes they do, look at ksport website I remember the label on the box I got said mazda3
Looks like it might be burning oil judging by the exhaust. I had a mazdaspeed3 and it would burn so much oil
Notification gang
Sounds like a subie
Are you guys replacing vvt/injectors/cleaning valves at one point as well? Would hate for someone to receive this car and it blow up 😂
those were among the first things I needed to do on my gen 1.
It 100% needs to be done, otherwise zoom zoom boom 💥
Also HPFP Upgrade!
#NoDroneGang
No straight pipe? You can have your entries back!! 😂jk.
Does your friend wanna work on my car now😃🤣
Looks like a diesel with all that exhaust soot on the back bumper lol
No put the other back on
The factory exhaust on the Mazdaspeed 3 is good up to 400hp so there is really no need to change it out unless your just looking to change the "Sound" and to be honest they all kinda sound the same even with different set ups 🤣 just more quite or more loud but same tone
nah catless sounds like a fart
It needs an adapter for the donut
Idk what stock downpipe is but if it’s 2.5 to 3” you need an adapter
Still quiet
FYI there's only two "A"s In CatalYtic converter 🤭
The only exhaust for a Gen 1 is the HKS, everything else is just plain.
Is it bad that it’s not stainless steel tho? I’m thinking about that one for my first gen
It Sounds kak
it sounded better before🤣
My stock exhaust with a second cat delete sounds better than that. You paid 700 bucks for a chrome tip.
Ms3 > new Mazda 3 turbo
Way too quiet😮💨
You just made it sound stock why 🤦♂️
