Baddass just Baddass!!!!
Cmon mother nature let it snow for Matt. We gotta see his creations off the bench!
Slednecks, RC addition!
I live about 5 hours east of you, and we got about 20cm, so even if you got half of that you will be good to go for the snowmobile. Good luck I can't wait to see the video.
Thanks! I guess you live in Quebec?
@Scale Builder's Guild No, I live in ontario. Near 401, just down the 416 a bit. So I guess it is more like 4 hours, lol. ( I just Googled it)
Come on printer.. print faster.. I don't want to wait until next winter to see this snowmobile go. Again my condolences to ken blocks family and friends. We lost a legend.
If anyone in Canada is looking for a Blizzard, I just noticed Great Hobbies has a bunch in stock online. Love to see you do an upgrade video on it Matt.
Love "What's on the beach weekly " keep it up.
You got it!
Grand Cherokee!!! Hell yes Iv been building mine for about a year now
See you next week
Thanks Matt stoked on your take on RC ! , growing up in Bancroft Ontario, I always rode a sled ( slang for snowmobile) in the winter anyways just got into 3D printing a month ago and RC a year ago! I have been wanting to get away from RTR and this ticks a lot of boxes! Bought the files tonight! 🎉
So cool! Bancroft is such a beautiful area, probably has a lot more snow than Toronto right now. Enjoy!
Broham So good to see the van on the bench. You know what I wanna say though... So, ya know.. when you are ready XD
What are you going to say?
@@scalebuildersguild Sell it to me.
Hey Matt great build Sir as Always! That is sooo cool!!😊Hope your having good weekend! Thanks for great content!😊
Thanks! You too!
Really cool stuff and I’m kind of envious.
Keep the parts crazy colors!!! That’s how you know who has new parts! (From getting sendy!!!)
Also do what we do, form jumps for your snowmobile with the snowkitty!
The snowmobile is cool, it's probly tons of fun to drive. Now you need a trailer and a tow rig for it 🤘y'all have a badass day🤘🍻🤘
That would be cool!
Snow time to get things ready n running order!!!! Looking forward to seeing the snowmobile done and out and aboot 😂
Cool vid, don't see many of these Rc's. Thanks for sharing
Thanks for watching!
I just got into 3D printing. I wish I would have done it long ago. It's so much fun to create custom parts and molds. The ski is so sick!
Oh man, that's cool
That's pretty darn slick. If I didn't immensely dislike Ski-Doo sleds, I'd have to make one. The two Ski-Doo snowmobiles I've owned were both crap, so never again. If he or somebody else does a Polaris or Arctic Cat, I'll be all over it. :)
The original Skeeride had different body panel options.
Such a sick build! I saw one of these in person at my local hobby shop, I’m pretty sure it was the V1. Can’t wait to see how you add your scale little bits to make is super detailed! Good luck on the build!
Really cool build honestly, can’t wait to see it finished
Will be great to see snowmobile rip man.
There's also a snowmobile kit called the ArtAttack. Made in Rochester NY. Have electric and nitro options. Looks like an 80s skidoo
Cool! Thanks for the info!
You have so many sweet builds a defined style for sure. I always loved bashing, but you inspired me to start crawling. I just started a Gen8 build and excited to try your tips and tricks. We need to see more of your art in action!
I just saw one of those rc snowmobiles yesterday and thought that was awesome!!? Can't wait to see you finish it!!!
You and me both!
If you're located in the area I think you've implied in prior videos
THAT WAS ENOUGH SNOW, THANK YOU, IT CAN STOP NOW
nice, I can't wait to see it run but I also hope the 6" of snow we got melts so that I can run my 2 new 6s typhons I just bought from their NEWYEAR sale!
Yes
I like it.
"Maybe I should build a snowmobile" - Me who gets maybe 1 day of snow per year
Looks good. Nice bench update. Always love more lights.
I love snowmobile’s but prefer the vintage ones vs these modern looking ones. Great video Matt..
Noooooo!!! Please don’t replace the Matt that speaks gems of wisdom.
Need that Blizzard for my scale recreation of the Overlook , "Wendy have you seen the Keys to the Kyosho !"
Nice Matt!
No snow here in SoCal right now, so instead I have a 6 axis robot arm I’m printing out…….two weeks down…..another week to go😎
I just finished up the SlicedStuff go kart kit. It’s super satisfying to race your first fully printed RC. I’ve had my eye on one of these but the Trifekta RC Honda three wheeler look like my next project. We haven’t hardly had any snow this year to play with a snowmobile.
So much multi-fasited talent!
I'm really exited to see the snowmobile done, it has been snowing the past month and the itch to drive is there, a snow rc car would be awesome for me, also your paint jobs are amazing.
Thank you!
Yes!! I am actually watching my printers spit out pieces for my Skeeride as I type this.
Body panels about finished and then back to the track. I was thinking about trying to print them in TPU. Are you???
I’m glad to see your motor setup and I might copy you. 🙌 It was hard to want to pull the trigger on the MambaX setup.
I just finished putting together the 3DSets winch truck and trailer as well. The printers definitely running overtime at my house. 😂
Tracks absolutely have to be printed in TPU!
gonna do a follow up on the build? Keen to see how the Spectrum 2300kv 2-in-1 working out in the skeeride... :P
Yes, in fact, I've already driven it and added that content to a future episode that you haven't watched yet!
Yep more snow themed builds pleaase!
Currently I'm working on a Tamiya TL01 project with studded tires and the MK1 Focus RS body.
Around my neck of woods there has been ice skating roads all winter with snow now and then. But the snow has never melted completly so it has turned to ice every time.
Last winter we did have a lot of snow and it was cold for 4 months straith. Perfect winter!
This winter on the other hand not so much.
I also plan on fitting front skies on my Tamiya Hornet later on with the Grasshopper paddle tires.
That ski is super cool. Saw it a few weeks ago. Almost pulled the trigger on building it. Gonna see how you like it first
Blizzards are AWESOME! anything with content of it has my instant Like! Not that I hadn't already after seeing the cool snowmobile. Can't wait to see it done and running with a cool rider on top... such as Tomb Raider's Lara Croft, as in one of the games? I bet it'd look amazing!
Love my blizzard I put the mamba x micro crawler combo motor ESC made it direct drive with the metal tracks and custom stainless plow things are a blast
Nice conversion!
I may have to build that snowmobile. I have a Fusion SE sitting and waiting for installation in something. Living in Central NY I have more snow months than summer months. 😂 Currently running the Tamiya Landfreeder Quadtrack in the snow. Lots of fun. But it gets packed with snow!
I've been very interested in rc snowmobiles, and anything with tracks, as I like in the snowy Tug Hill region of NY. I hhave a plow on my traxxas ultimate hauler, a trx4 with tracks, and the most interesting is my losi dbxl Gas with integy tracks
So cool! Thanks for watching!
I’ve wanted a tracked vehicle for a while but never got around to it.
Go get some Sand Paddles and a pair of front Ribbed tyres either the Buggy or Short Course items HPI used to sell along with RC4WD, there used to be a front conversion to Ski's not sure who made these RPM it may have been and a couple of the clone companies maybe Rovan, I have had some fantastic times with paddles and ribbed tyres never had the front ski's as we do not get enough snow to warrant buying a set of them but maybe one day.
Careful Matt I built one of these when the first gen came out and I am now building this as my 4th one including one I modded to run on 6s lol it’s addicting I also bought the alpha one files from pascal roberts it’s a good kit as well.
I used to run cats and built terrain parks & half pipes for about 12 years of my life. I still can't believe I don't own a Blizzard yet. What the heck is wrong with me? Haha! I've seen videos of these all done up with multi functional blades and functional tillers that lift, lower, and can groom. There are some serious builds out there from guys who have copied Pritnoth, Pisten Bully, and a few others. Someone should build an RC Tucker Sno-Cat some day.
That's awesome, sounds like a Blizzard is right up your alley.
To my shame I have to admit I bought a 3D printer with BIG plans to learn 3D printing and I have barely even touched it. Got busy with Life and just haven't had the time to devote, and I am the type of person that when I am on the upside of the learning curve I become obsessed with every nuance and technique. As such I know better than to start when I know I won't have the focus I like to dedicate to a new project. I do have plans this Summer to get there with a project I am working out in my head right now. Found a nice Toy Halo Warthog that is about 12th scale I am going to make into a Crawler using Upgrade leftovers and 3D printed parts.
Cool stuff . I alway's wanted a blizzard but never had one . Not sure why . Got into flying to much . That can get expensive . I guess.
I've been waiting for videos on the Ski Ride 2 to come out since it was released, definitely wasn't expecting one from SBG but I was very happy when a SBG ski ride video popped up! Now how about a Snowmobile monthly Mayhem? 🤔
Can’t wait to see the ski doo running video! Have you ever thought about reviewing the HOTRC DS-4A? Looks like an interesting/quirky option for anyone who wants to drive one handed and have the other hand free for something like filming or eating mustard smothered hoagies
Is that the weird one-handed remote? Ooof! Hahahaha
Hi Mat so when will you show the steam engine Jeep I remember seeing it in a car action magazine a long time ago! Can’t wait to see it on what’s on the bench.
At some point in the future, after winter of course. I've done a number of videos, you should search the channel!
As a back country snowmobiler and rc enthusiasts i have almost bought a 3d printer on multiple occasions just to print this snowmobile
I'm thinking of getting into carpet racing out here in BC. Could you update us on your carpet racer?
I like your approach to your builds.
As soon as I have a car to drive out to the track, I will!
That's a very cool project. Does the manual mention what kind of filament should be used? If PLA is acceptable I may give it a try, but I don't want to deal with ABS or other materials. 🙈
They suggest PLA or PLA+ and TPU for the tracks!
Your making it very hard not to buy a crawler, that van is sweet!
You got that right!
👍👍😁😁
Miss the sweater.
Your projects are stupid good. I was looking to buy a snowmobile and I can only find a kyosho blizzard.
Are you printing the track from flexible filament or is there a pre-made option that would fit?
No pre-made option, you'll have to print in TPU.
Looking forward to the snowmobile! Will the handlebars be coordinated to turn with the skiis? Will there be a rider on it?
Handlebars won't turn, no. I'll have to look into a driver once I have it assembled!
I know you love your Prusa (who wouldnt) but do you have any other printers? I love how RC and 3D printing have evolved together
I had a Tevo Tornado before the Prusa, and I also have an Elegoo Mars 3 resin printer.
@@scalebuildersguild elegoo makes amazing printers
I'm a snowmobiler... I need that SkeeRide2. Only problem is I don't have a 3D printer.
Maybe you know someone that does?
@@scalebuildersguild Actually I do not know anyone that has a printer. I am educating myself on 3D printers. I bought the Skeeride2 download. What material are you printing it with? I am wondering if PLA would hold up or if it should be ABS.
@@jamesfisk2758 he recommended PLA or PLA+, so I’d go with that. AbS is very difficult to print well.
@@scalebuildersguild I am looking at a Prusa i3 MK3s+. Its build area is slightly smaller than the recommended 220x220. Just wondering if there is any tolerance in the 220x220 recommendation. Thank you.
@@jamesfisk2758 That's the same printer I'm using! The designer added some optional split files into his directory solely for the purpose of being able to print on the Prusa printbed.
Thanks for the great videos! Been looking to get something on traxx. Could the Traxxas Traxx be made to fit a Ryft? I know the hexes are different but more worried about support of the Traxx on the axle?
That would require some work and you'd definitely break things with that much power going through them!
@@scalebuildersguild Thank you for the reply! Back to the drawing board lol!
Do you ever sleep? Where do you find the time for all these great projects? I'm inthe process of turning areas of the basement into hobby HQ. ALMOST done building my prusa and looking forward to building a new body for the scx6. Thank you for inspiring all of us😃
Believe it or not, I sleep! I guess I'm lucky, because my wife takes care of all the cooking and we don't have kids!
@@scalebuildersguild love what you do and your kindness is refreshing 🙂👍👍👍
Does the snowmobile have carbide runners on the skis if not I think a skate blade would work good for turning on hard pack snow and ice just a thought
No, just printed runners, plenty good for this scale.
@@scalebuildersguild sounds good 👌🏻
I saw someone that scaled one of these up 1000% but won’t share any of the info I’ve only ever saw one picture of it
I know it’s difficult with all the different options for electronics, but can you give any kind of ballpark for the price of the parts that go into the kit? So people can have an idea of how much they would be spending in total to build one?
I spent close to $400 to get it built and running, assuming you've already got a transmitter and receiver.
Awesome, thanks for the reply.
Can you do a interior for the trx4m defender? I want to make mine scale realistic but no interior is bad for pictures and I need ideas on how
Sure thing, I'll tackle that soon.
Is there an update video on this build?
I'll update once there's snow!
Have you used/experimented with outrunner brushless motors, i find them cool and I’m wondering if there any good?
I've used outrunners in a number of my comp builds. Great choice, provided you're using a good controller.
@@scalebuildersguildthanks for the reply, I’m thinking about putting one in a scx24
Does anyone know where I can get a GX470 body that I can hollow out for a future project also I making a body for over an enduro trail runner or on that chassis on a fj cruiser from tamiya
Have you looked on Cults3d?
Speaking of matts, what one are you currently using? I've seen a few guys with them but I don't know what they are.
It's from Fiskars!
KB43VER
Also can somebody make a Subaru WRX rally body plz for the Tamiya TT-02 chassis cause I really want to have one to switch between the mustang and Tesla body
Did Axial do a snowmobile or no? Maybe I'm thinking of a different company.
Not from Axial, no! I think they considered it at one point.
i spent a few month trieing to get the prairie wolf body but it was back order everywher T_T i end up geting the mighty jeep fc frome axial fit well on a trx4 my young boys is please!
What? Only 3 tracked Vehicles! How about twin tracks with a single Ski. a Trike!!
Make a Kyosho blizzard upgrade video
Will do!
@@scalebuildersguild keep up the good work man, love your content!
I have been wanting to build a kyosho blizzard ever since the first one came out, but haven't pushed myself to spend the money on one. I live in Southern Illinois USA and we don't get very much snow. Plus when we do it don't stay around for very long. How about you do a upgrade build video and maybe that will push me to build one too.
Some new parts on the way!
Cool. Can't wait to see what all your going to do to it.
If we look at the condition of the mat and consider it got that way because of Matts use of it. The logical conclusion should be to replace both!
Whatever happened to the mini me 2018 Wrangler I know you talked about doing a second video but now that you don’t have that Jeep or any jeep for that matter what will end up happening to that project
I still have it actually! I’ll plop it on the bench soon enough.
@@scalebuildersguild I am currently building almost exactly your mini me wrangler on a vs410 for USTE i’ll make sure to put a crystal shift knob in there💎
Was your jeep ever recovered? Sorry if I missed the update
Nope! We're waiting for our new car.
@@scalebuildersguild is it the yellow Toyota I sent you? Lol
Hey Matt how do you get mytrickrc kits in Ontario,Canada? I’ve tried a few different addresses in Ontario on their site and it says it’s a no go. Is there a Canadian supplier that sells their stuff?
Sorry, I get it shipped direct from the owner. Let me look into it for you!
