I've actually never fully conquered the map lol :D The closest I've gotten was with Rome but even then it was more like 1/3 of the map. I stop eventually most of the time
Well done, buddy 🙂❤️ I don't think any cataphracts will compare to the Parthian ones, since they actually have the "Super Heavy Nisean" horse breed. This is the heaviest cavalry possible, there are only a few cavalry that have this breed. Seleucids and Baktrians have one each. This breed will outright rekt any cavalry on the charge, and Nomads don't have any horse breed, only the good stats like the afore-mentioned. I suggest you mention horse breeds in your future faction overviews because, they are incredibly important, and have a massive and I mean massive impact on how effective a cavalry unit is on the charge. Two identical cavalry units, one without a horse breed and the other with Nisean cavalry for example, the latter will utterly annihilate the former on the charge every single time.
Thanks very much and cheers for the input mate! I typically don’t mention the breeds since there isn’t any official stats about them that are public right now. I was hoping to talk to the dev team to get direct info so I can do a specific video just for them
Don't know if you mentioned this , But i will say it regardless The province with the " warhorse " resource you start with can be exploited to make your cavalry absolutely broken , Upgrade your main warhorse building then build the warhorse resource building that increases charge bonus , Then build that yellow icon horse breeder in the province capital , Aaaand a small horse breeder on a village as well. Your charge bonus for cataprachts will go over 110 or something , And horse archers will get like 70 or 80 and all your cav will have a crazy increase in movement speed.
I did not mate but I don’t intend to cover every single thing, especially ones that can kinda break units like this 😆 I appreciate you posting though! Additional info on the comments is always welcome!

A bit late but sending diplomats to Parthava usually results in them gifting one of their settlements for free. They will gift all their settlements except for one. Which gives quite a big boost for the early game. Once they have only one left. Confederating them is really easy. This will let you focus on other factions and not delay you for 10+ turns! Played 3 campaigns as Parthia and it worked everytime for me.
@@Immersaholicseriously? from my own experience it happens around 10% of the time always do it rather declaring war if a random factions stops me from completing my provinces just spam them every single tun, but be cautions, cause it can decrease relations or get your diplomat killed and costs more every time but it also increases the relations with the party who the diplomat belongs to
I really like the roster and parthia in itself. My problem is the micromanagement. I mean i can pull it off but its so stressful. Against infantry arm ies its alright but as soo nas there are 8+ cav units in the enemy army aswell thing start to get messy. So normally i play until turn 60 n leave it. Sadly. A good way to play parthia is to change your govt type like immers says.. then befriend all the satraps of the Seleucids (that will rebel) Instead of go to war with them. I have Haraiva, Asagarta, and Zranka as military allies.. Also the Daha will actually confederate with you (even on hard like my campaign), and if you keep sending Haraiva diplomats they give you a minor city in the same province I think Marv or maybe it was the other one, whichever isnt the major city. Its in the same provence the daha give after confederating. And Bactria will go to war with you. Then you pick at Bactria with a full cav army with maybe 4-6 infantry. Hit and running their infantry, once they have no armies you can usually autoresolve the settlements once your general is leveled up. Once you take Bactria you get a good economy and then you can turn on your allies and kill everyone. or just have them as allies with military access and go take on Parsa, Parthiva and the Seleucids. Aswell as the nomads to the north. Level your Shah up with ammunition skill, replenishment skill, campaign movement skill, light cav movement/ammo tradition, and the tradition for archers.
The thing about Parthia is that if you can get used to using an entirely all cav army than you can become unstoppable. Just requires a fair bit of concentration since you have to keep moving the cav as they shoot. I'd recommend you also check out my Parthian campaign Lets Play :)

Man, ive finished a Rome and a Seubi campaign, but Parthia is something else. You basically have to reform within the first 10 turns or your facing a civil war, OK youve got the money so thats fine. But your 2-3 settlements that you have by that time are then facing -35 public order, even with demolishing military buildings for + pub order, dropping taxes, using agents, upgrading generals to give +pub order, basically doing everything you can. If you dont instantly defeat the rebel army, you are in a food shortage, which is obviously untenable, so you cant do the old trick of letting them build up to neutralise pub order. I have restarted 3 times now, I honestly don't know how to do this campaign. Units are very powerful, but every other mechanic with Parthia is brutal. Are you supposed to sit in your 2-3 settlements for 30 turns and then hope to turn it around mid game?
