- I haven't done a live Metallica performance in a while and I haven't actually seen Cliff Burton play the Bass Guitar so I thought I'd react to that! I never actually knew or understood how important the bass guitar was or how important Cliff Burton was to the band. Now I know!

Cliff wasnt a typical bassist, his skill was in another level
always hated how the camera focused on James and Kirk when they came back in, meanwhile Cliff is absolutely still going off

Almost every "reactor" to older Metallica don't realize their hearing Bass riffs not 6 strings. Love it
Cliff is the reason I chose to play Bass.
You won't ever hear another Bass guitar like this again😢 the original cassette tape had no break between this song and, "Whiplash" it just went right in!
Cliff was the best bass player ever , no one was like him !!!
Now when you go back and listen to the intros to Orion and Damage Inc, realize that what you are listening to is Cliff doing his wizardry with his bass. It's all bass.
Distortion pedal, wah pedal, rickybass and cliff playing...bass heaven.

Metallica never would have gotten so big without cliffs contributions. He was schooled in music and taught them a lot. He brought the bass to the forefront. He inspired so many. I was lucky to have seen them live once when cliff was still with us.

Yeah Molly!!!! Stoked you watched this. THIS is Metalica. This is what we are metal heads and Metallica fans love. Cliff was amazing bass player. But like alotvery talented players, he died to soon. Replaced by another phenom player Jason Newsted, then Rob Trujillo, also a phenon.
