    ROGUE is a truly remarkable vessel designed by the renowned naval architect Jon Bannenberg and built in the U.S. by Poole Chaffe.
    She has undergone numerous refits over the years, including a 2-year period completed in 2000 where the yacht was rebuilt with a completely new superstructure, bow design, and extension to the transom for a unique tender elevator and two garages for water toys and storage use. Additionally, many of her main systems were completely updated, including new Caterpillar engines, generators, wiring, plumbing, propellers, navigation electronics, ceilings, and fixtures.
    ROGUES’s interior offers a contemporary style and is well suited for any type of guest. She welcomes eight guests in 4 spacious staterooms, including a full-beam master stateroom with king size bed and en-suite bath, as well as a VIP bow cabin with queen-size bed and updated, en-suite bath with glass shower. She also features two additional queen cabins with separate updated baths.
    ROGUES's main deck aft offers spacious outdoor dining, and her flybridge aft deck has an oversized sunpad, large Jacuzzi, sun sails for shade and a large bar area.

      You know, it coverts to a beach club if you just pretend the boat tackle isn't there. We'll put a table on top of it and it's invisible. I like how it's a go anywhere yet and can accommodate 8...with 2 crew and the captain. So you can go anywhere, but a lot of stuff, you are on your own.

    • @OG_Wonder_Woman
      @OG_Wonder_Woman Před 2 lety

      My thoughts exactly. The name of the beach club is 'broken ankles'. And what is with that coffin for the crew member!? You only have 2 crew bunks and 1 of them is not only fully encased legs and hips, but there is hardly even enough room to turn over. Plus, the pullman is so poorly placed...the poor crew member in the coffin will have to hold it all night or wake up the guy in the pullman just to get out!
      On top of this, there were lots of stained carpets and other signs of poor care. Just that 'dog house' being so janky is reason for pause. Then you have a VIP that requires you to go up several stairs just to go back down more stairs to use the loo? Reminds me of a weird split level condo from the 70s.
      The helm is so antiquated, I suspect the engine room wasn't shown for good reason. There is no way that stern is sea worthy. I think she used to be a Bannenberg explorer, but she was refit to be a dock queen and let deteriorate. Then the latest refit was done on the cheap, they couldn't even afford to recover all the outdoor upholstery, or replace the stained carpets.
      A shame, but I hope she is bought by someone with deep pockets who can fix her up.

      Plus you'll have money from not having any crew. A captain, deckhand and a stewardess. You could get lucky and have a captain married to a stewardess and then you would have 4 crew. A 100+ boat with only 3 crew is OK as long as your deckhand or captain has an engineer rating and your stewardess can cook or you give up a stateroom for crew. I've seen that before where the chief stew and chef share a cabin or in a cabin with a Pullman you have 2 stewardesses and a chef sharing a cabin and the deckhands stay in the crew area. Oh well. I've seen better boats for about the same money.

      @@joshuasterling2144 There's probably a reason they didn't show the engine room..... And all the electronics need to be replaced, which means that whatever refits it had were purely cosmetic. It's not a bad price for such a large aluminum hull US-built yacht and a pretty good refit, but it would likely need at least $100k+ of work if you wanted to do anything other than costal cruising.
      As far as crew, it looks like there are accommodations for 3, which should be plenty. All that said, anyone considering this should be aware that the yearly running costs will be around 10% of the original price (figure around $300-500k/year - crew, fuel, berthing, maintenance, insurance, etc) and there are plenty of other 100' in this price range, some with much newer refits.

      @EricValor Před 4 lety +1

      @@ckm-mkc Yeah, during the whole tour I was saying to myself "show me the hull ultrasound and the engines". I would expect she would need total engine replacement and likely some patching of the hull. And the electronics look a little old so those would need to be yanked as well. As a network professional the networking aspect was nice but not very impressive. I would completely refit that as well. But the pricing is OK so long as there's wiggle room. I kinda like the style - not opulent like a lot in that size and looks good for Arctic travel (again, after hull inspection is clear). The "beach deck" just.. isn't. But it's OK as a working deck and for fishing underway.

      Is the boat launching station a permanent look or does it turn into a swim platform? This part wasn’t clear to me. If it’s not permanent than where is the boat stored?

    Why should the asking price always be such a secret. Most lookers can't buy this yacht anyway, so provide the price and have all of us dreaming about it.

      Victor, we understand your frustration, but please understand that boats, like houses and cars, have prices that change often. Our videos would be outdated the second the price changed. So what we do instead is place a link in the description that directs you to pricing and other things like photos + specs. Hope that makes sense and thanks a lot for the comment.

    Not an expedition yacht, not even transatlantic range .

    • @jonathanpear7361
      @jonathanpear7361 Před 5 lety +1

      Maybe not transatlantic, but I would say that it could make it from San Francisco to Hawaii. They called it an expedition yacht because that's what it was used for before it was converted into a personal vessel.

    • @zasde35
      @zasde35 Před 5 lety +1

      It is a very nice conversion into a beautiful yacht.
      No doubts about that
      But an real expedition yacht need at least a month of complete Independence capability and a range of at least 4000 miles.
      This for a full at ocean class permitted occupation .
      A trip to Hawaii is not nothing but for sure NOT an expedition .
      And the distance to from SF to Hawaii is approx 2100 nautical miles as the crow flies, even that is not possible with this beautiful yacht with a 1800 mile range .
      Personally i would also like to see some ice class and stabilizers and no cooking on gas but full electric ,

    Not much of an expedition yacht with a galley like that. What if your in 8’-12’ seas? The cook top could not be used.
