Restaurant chains are constantly releasing innovative new creations, in hopes of outdoing their competitors by coming up with the next big thing. Sometimes, the risk pays off. Other times, we get food items that are more entertaining than they are appetizing. You won’t believe that these food items actually exist, and, in some cases, we wish we could tell you that they didn’t. So let’s look at 10 times fast food went too far - part 3.

SUMMARIES:
- Oh, Taco Bell. What have you done now? This sickly sweet quesadilla sounds like something out of any five year old’s dreams. Which, by default, means it’s something out of any parent’s nightmares.
- While more options are gradually being added to menus, until very recently, fast food restaurants haven’t exactly been the most vegan-friendly establishments. Vegans visiting McDonald’s were pretty much limited to salads.
- Taco Bell is back to shock us again with their new Volcano Crispy Chicken Chips. They look like tortilla chips, they’re shaped like tortilla chips...but are they tortilla chips? Well, this wouldn’t make for a very exciting entry if they were.
- Pickles. One of the most polarizing foods out there. And if liking pickles themselves weren’t controversial enough, some people actually claim to enjoy the taste of pickle juice. Now, to each their own and everything, but it also feels like this is where we should draw the line.
- In 2018, Popeyes celebrated the opening of its 3000th restaurant in the most extra way imaginable. The Kardashians have nothing on them. For just one day, they served 24 Karat Champagne Chicken Wings.
- One of KFC’s most popular, but controversial, food items is the Double Down, a sandwich that replaces the buns with two chicken patties. While this product is polarizing enough on its own, several KFCs worldwide drew inspiration from America’s Double Down to create their own even more shocking variations.
- Taco Bell is known for pushing the envelope when it comes to taco shells. They once used a piece of fried chicken. This time, they went for something a bit more refined. That being a fried egg. The Naked Egg Taco can be found on their breakfast menu and it actually looks...kind of beautiful.
- This Pizza Hut creation is ridiculously aesthetically pleasing. Between the shape and the colors, it looks like a work of art. Bring on all the Instagrams. They say don’t mess with perfection, but that’s exactly what Pizza Hut went and did.
- KFC Japan is going off-brand and putting the chicken on the back burner to bring customers some interesting seasonal specials. Japan is big on seasonal food; it’s one of the ways restaurants draw clients in. KFC decided to try its hand at this marketing technique, ringing in autumn with two new additions to their menu.
- Italians are usually praised for their delicious foods. Pastas, pizzas, cannoli, gelato. Sweet or savory, it’s all amazing. But have they taken it too far? The country that, during World War II, gave us Nutella has now done the unspeakable.

Yeah everytime Taco Bell brings out "chicken chips" they absolutely are just nuggets. Also their "Nacho Fries" are also just regular fries with a side of cheese dip. So dumb lol

I've never had them but thought the Nacho Chips were spiced with the same spices as Frito-Lay Nacho Chips....sort of how Checkers/Rally's spices their French fries.

there is noone on earth who could convince me that the egg taco from taco bell is healthy at all, whatsoever. the processed quality of it completely destroys any nutritional value.

Being discontinued for the Impossible Burger they have now which taste far better and can actually go on the char broiler instead of being nuked in the microwave.
Yes but the impossible burger is a highly overpriced burger. Vegetarians are better off eating at In N Out burger and ordering a grilled cheese. It’s much more reasonably priced.
A lot of these sound delicious, especially the kitkat one (though I'm a huge fan of melted chocolate). The one that I absolutely hate just by looking at it, is the pickle slushie. I hate everything to do with pickles I think they taste awful.

With 1 or 2 exceptions, I have never heard of these food offerings...that I can remember.
I think I would like to try nearly all of them, but for the Nutella burger. They would be wiser to make the bun out of a glazed donut that is missing it's hole, in my opinion, but the result would be a toothache waiting to happen.

At the pool I work at, we sell frozen pickle juice after we sell out of pickles. The kids love them! We let employees get some first because we normally sell out same day
Here in Portugal, in a pizzeria brand called Telepizza, we have the Vulcano Sweet Pizza, which is literally a pizza topped with chopped Kit Kats and in the middle of the pizza, there is a bowl made from the dough with Nutella inside so you can dip the slices.
No Brasil tem muita pizza assim também, aqui a gente gosta de criar os mais diversos sabores de pizza. Um dos meus favoritos é a pizza de prestígio que é chocolate ao leite com creme de coco

I worked in KFC during both runs on the double down and it was a nightmare, along with all the chicken we had to make we also now had to do 2x the fillets and zingers, they were messy, time consuming and honestly didnt taste that good? It was just a lot of chicken. The wait on them REGULARLY got to 25 minutes plus it slowed down all other chicken making

When you want Nutella, think of all the orangutans which died (killed) to make way for the palm that Nutella uses the oil from. I refuse to touch Nutella and even remind my wife of the nasty way Nutella gets its palm oil.
