I fell in love with Kate Bush, my first love, during this video in 1978. I was 12 years old at the time. It still gives me butterflies now!

Got turned onto her 20 years ago and my friends laughed at me. Moved to Ireland, made new friends, and they laughed even more. Appears that she's been seen as ridiculous over there for some time, but I care not. I'll always love this woman and her music.

Is that all verified, or is that PR talk ? I mean, was the song, were the lyrics is version 1 of the song already as good ? She still was beaten by little Mozart, a record that will be very difficult to beat
David Gilmore was informed of her by her brother Paddy Bush, who was a well known local London area musican and Kate's older brother Kate already had written over 100 songs by 13. Gilmore took this song among some others and presented them to his record company who immediately were interested in young Kate, until they learned she was only 13. With the guidance of Gilmore and her brother and parents, Kate had to wait until she was 19 to get the record contract. When her album debuted, she had had 6 years to finish the songs picked out for the album and she became the first female artist to sell million albums with her first release.

This is my favourite song of all-time and I just love her. I was 7 years old when this was released and knew even then that Kate would be with me forever.
I remember hearing Wuthering Heights in Ireland in 1985, was 8 & I kept asking my cousins to play it over & over & over again. After that I just had to know everything she did. 💛
It's a shame Kate doesn't rate her early work. I think she's much too harsh on herself and should be happy she wrote better melodies in her teens than more than half of today's so-called "artists" have done their entire lives. At least she wrote the songs *herself* .
Her early work, up to and including "Hounds of Love" is easily her greatest. I gave up after, way too much doodling at the expense of songs.

I am a fan of Farscape and found a fan vid of Crichton set to this song I had never heard before. It was SO moving. Crichton IMHO is a man with the child in his eyes, and the vid clips were perfect. It was my favorite. A few days ago, I went to watch it and it’s gone. I am heartbroken. Finding the song here re-invokes the feelings I felt watching the video. I know nothing about creating vids, but maybe I am destined to create a fan vid of my own set to this song, now that the other is gone.
