there's 0 backing to this, but I like to headcanon that, like the other protagonists, Naoto's world was also absorbed into Gridman Universe. Naoto shows up at this exact moment and saves Yuta because Gridman called out to the first human who bonded with him.
The 1993 Gridman series is indeed canon to the SSSS series. These cameos are just fun easter eggs for long-time fans and a way for the writers to pay respect to the original series.
