  • The amazing SpaceX Falcon Heavy Demo Flight flew in early February 2018 and what an amazing day. This demo flight simulation includes all three booster landings (even the core booster that crashed) and the wonderful little Tesla Roadster driven by the iconic Jebadiah Kerman (Starman). This will tell you all you need to know about the flights and a few fun facts about the Falcon Heavy. This full scale simulation was captured using Kerbal Space Program (KSP 1.2.2) with the full Real Solar System / Realism Overhaul mods installed.
    Great work SpaceX, inspiring as always!

      Falcon Heavy was the first launch I saw live. At the time of the mission I was not very into space, and I drew a really derpy picture. The only parts I got right on the picture were the center core and transporter erector, otherwise, I slapped some SRBs on the sides and placed an ATC tower right next to the pad... :|

      @jessie_the_meaney Před 3 lety

      @@yacinesenouci6680 yes i get that... the first launch i watched live was CRS 16 and it was pretty funny. it started spinning, and then landed on WATER. at the time I also wasn't into space, so i just kept watching these landings fail (remember, this was before SpaceX made its 2nd landing). when Falcon Heavy launched, i was impressed, because we've only seen 5 landings so far. when we saw TWO boosters land AT THE SAME TIME it was like - wtf how... and then we drove back home and on the way we passed LZ1 and LZ2 and it was just - impressive. its one thing to land a single booster on a ship, its another thing to land two boosters back on land on landing pads right next to each other at the same time. can't wait when they add cameras on the boosters that look at each other! then we could see the way the booster acts in detail on its way down!

    Because this is suppose to be a simulation I would like to point out that the center core used aluminium grid fins and not the titanium ones. Also, if I'm not mistaken, the rocket comes from the SpaceX mod but I think those landing legs are from Kerbalized SpaceX missing the litle (clamping?) triangles on their sides.

      The rocket is from kerbalized spaceX and the landing legs are from kerbal reusability system

      Yup, can't use it due to copyright, otherwise I would have snipped it from the real launch audio.
