I was listening to this for my daughter, and I’m very encouraged for my own walk by listening to you.. I’m about to be on the GAPS diet for healing Crohn’s disease. All I want is to feel better, no more fatigue, brain fog, no more depression. If I could get the pain to go away and actually be able to eat salads that would be wonderful.

I prefer the natural way of treating them and I found out on this guide the treatments that work efficiently.

12:45 yes to all of this! I've (26) stopped taking the pill 2014 and have been suffering from acne since then. By now, my skin looks like the surface of the moon and even if I'm not suffering from depression and insecurity as much anymore I still feel so sad every morning waking up to 5 new extremely painful and inflamed cysts on my skin. I've been avoiding gluten, dairy, and sugar for a year and haven't eaten dairy for the last 5 years but it just won't heal. I've had several gut programs I went on for months in which my skin did look better but it just never stopped completely.... I feel so lost and lonely... especially, because the dermatologists here say it's my own fault because I don't wanna go back to taking the pill again.. ever or because I don't wanna use these terrible cremes anymore that dried out my skin like crazy.
And health insurance doesn't see any reason why they should support alternative ways of trying to heal it by e.g going to naturopaths and as a student that is just to expensive to pay by yourself.
I'm just clueless and don't know what to do anymore...
Thank you for your video!!! ♡

My energy is way better and im not waking up at night anyone due to sleep problems. My anxiety has been better since doing this. I would say time is what it's going to take for our skin and body to heal!!

Thank you so much for your reply! I'm so sorry to hear about your struggles, and I totally understand! It's such a difficult thing to deal with. It can definitely be intimidating to make major lifestyle changes, and it's not an easy thing to create new habits!
A close friend of mine has hypoglycemia, and it's something I've done a little research into but am interested in learning more about. I would just encourage you to listen to what your body is telling you and take little changes slowly so that it's a gradual process. For example, if you're wanting to do an elimination diet, I'd recommend just choosing one thing to cut out. Like if you're working on cutting out refined sugar but you usually have a few sodas per day, start with cutting down to one soda, and then eliminating it completely over the course of a few days or a week! That way it feels a bit more manageable since it's in bite-size changes.
Let me know if you have any questions or if there are any other ways I can be helpful to you! I'll be releasing more related content soon (especially more specific and practical steps), so hopefully it will help you in your journey!
      Thanks friend! Cheers!!

For people reading the comments: I've suffered from acne for 5+ years and have healed me digestive issues and eat extremely clean and healthy. I eat a diet that supports my gut health AND I still have acne! If you have been eating healthy and supporting your gut health and you STILL have acne, then your food is NOT causing your acne. It is something else. You do NOT need have an extremely restrictive and controlled relationship with food to heal your acne. And you do NOT need to feel like you are causing your acne because of what you are eating.

    • @KailynJulianna
      @KailynJulianna  Před rokem +5

Hi Malia! Thank you for sharing your story and thoughts. I’m so sorry that you are struggling and I definitely can relate to your experience. I totally agree that acne is an incredibly complex issue and can be connected to many factors beyond food intake. Although food is a huge aspect that contributes to our overall health, there are many other things to consider as well regarding this topic. I also agree that it is important not to have a restrictive or extreme relationship with food. I actually struggled for a while with orthorexia and disordered eating habits and have healed my mindset so much even since this video!
Since I first created this video years ago, my thoughts and perspectives have grown and changed in some ways. I actually released a video recently in which I reacted to this video and shared some things I’ve learned and would say differently now! Here is the link in case you or anyone wants to check it out: czcams.com/video/9-mmmZLmhEU/video.html
For anyone who is still struggling and can’t seem to find answers, I would recommend working with a health professional (such as a holistic nutritionist/dietitian, nutritional therapy practitioner, or naturopath, for example) who can help you address your health in a holistic way, addressing the many factors that contribute to this issue (such as stress, toxins, vitamin/mineral status, hormones, etc). I hope to continue to be a resource sharing things I am learning through my studies on this channel! It is possible to find healing and I wish you the absolute best in your journey 🤍

Our perspectives naturally evolve overtime and it’s badass that you made a video sharing that transparency. I actually have an old acne video on my channel where I share some outdated information too.
Orothexia and eating disorders are also in my history. It took me over a decade to finally heal through intuitive eating. I’m glad you’ve healed too :)
And yes yes to the naturopathic/holistic health practitioner! Now that I finally have the means to afford a naturopath, she has helped much with my digestive/hormonal journey in the past two years.
I love that CZcams is a place to share our stories and learn from each other. And I love that you’ve created a channel of helpful lessons and healing content. ✨

What's your idea of eating clean? Sounds like you could have a food allergy/sensitivity.

    • @maliabella
      @maliabella Před rokem

@@kaylacarpenter272 Hey Kayla! Thanks for your question.
I thought for a long time that the chronic hormonal and digestive symptoms I had was caused by a food allergy.
But after "eating clean," for many years, taking many medical tests, and seeing many doctors the evidence is clear that I do not have a food allergy/sensitivity that is causing the chronic diseases I'm battling.
      Eating Clean =
-No gluten, No dairy, and No sugar (including No high-glycemic foods like honey, tropical fruits, dates, etc...)
-High amounts of whole plant nutrient dense vegetables like kale, broccoli, etc..
-Healthy fats like nuts and avocados
      -Organic meats
      -Probiotic fermented foods like sauerkraut.
-Small amounts of low glycemic carbs like brown rice, sweet potatoes, etc..
Eating clean means different things to different people. For example, eating vegan maybe "eating clean" to someone else. I was vegan for one year and tracked my micronutrients to ensure I was hitting all my dietary needs. Vegansim was not right for my body.
Anyways, my comment on this video is aimed at people who are experiencing chronic acne over many years. They have restricted the most common allergens like gluten, dairy, and sugar and are seeing no difference with their acne.
My experience and that of many acne suffers is that diet or a food sensitivity is NOT the root cause of the acne. But rather there is something deeper going on in their body such as a dysregulation with either 1) The Digestive System 2) The Hormonal System 3) Insulin levels 4) Cortisol Levels 4) The Lymphatic System.
I have spent many years researching and learning about health because of the chronic diseases I have and am happy to answers questions, share information, and discuss more with you. Health is complicated and the more we share with each other, the more we can be empowered to truly heal!

@T R Couldn't have said it better myself! Thanks for the helpful explanation. Re: OP, I do eat those foods now as I've healed my metabolism and am able to tolerate most foods thankfully! It was just part of my experiment at the time. Everyone is different and it can be helpful to figure out what foods you might be sensitive to, at least while you are working to heal!

Food... really? That’s not having tried everything... that’s like first thing to look at. Not helpful to people who really have tried it all...

Do you think it might be more than just a coincidence that as you got older and outgrew puberty, that your skin got better?

Well, you tend to notice that it is an issue when you are in your 20s-30s and see no difference. Even sometimes you have even worst cystic acne compared with your puberty years.

Acne is in no way normal even for teenagers, that's a lie that has been perpetuated by modern medicine. It's the constant toxic assault on our bodies from our "modern" lifestyles that are causing skin issues.
