In the survival kit, you forgot to mention radiation suits! I think the protection suits they use in nuclear reactors would be helpful. Need to buy a few sometime

Not hard to buy a suit . Have them on Amazon even . But they are a bit pricey and once they are contaminated you have to dispose of it . I’m a radiation safety officer so I know a bit more than most on the subject of safety equipment .

Further advice: Don't live in a population centre, live in hills (although mud slides are far more likely to kill you), have access to sea for travel in case you need to move out for a while.

Our house is my great great grandpa's house that has been through rennovating and has seen both world wars. It also features 2 nuclear bunkers and a machine gun bunker thingy
We have a room dedicated to my grandpas weapons and uniforms. Pretty much a museum. It's in the middle of freaking nowhere though XD

Update: I just found out our basments are NOT nuclear bunkers, brothers will lie to you like that. It does indeed have a machine gun bunker but by now it's completely gone, what was left collapsed and now it's just a couple peices of concrete.

I can't be the parent/wife that is freaking out that it will happen when the kids/husband are not home, and the entire family is separated.....I have never been more terrified about something like this happening any day now.
I’m terrified to leave my house now. I can’t function normally anymore and I’m even on leave of absence from work over the anxiety and agoraphobia this is suddenly causing me. That's what i did when Hiroshima dropped, luckily i'm still alive now, but it was underground. I did make some smalls holes in it so i could hold my breath. I'm the son, and it is my dads inspiration, he was in all of this.
