  • Dragnet is a radio and television crime drama about the cases of a dedicated Los Angeles police detective, Sergeant Joe Friday, and his partners. The show takes its name from an actual police term, a "dragnet", meaning a system of coordinated measures for apprehending criminals or suspects.

    These shows are great, you don't even have to watch them, just close your eyes and listen, you won't miss a thing. They are laid out just the same as the radio show was, it just has pictures

    The man who played the murderer was Richard Garland, the ex-husband of Beverly Garland. He was in a couple of fifties science fiction movies, including "Attack of the Crab Monster". Russell Johnson, who played the Professor in Gilligan 's Island also starred in that movie.

    Some of the victims' stories on Dragnet are so sad. Today 30 years old is nothing, but back in the '50s she was washed up, widowed, and didn't have anything but some old clippings of the glory days. Beaten horribly in the sanctity of her own home, by a friend. I knew as soon as I saw the shot of her from behind that the killer in this one was gonna get the death penalty. But it doesn't undo the crime. =[

    Interrogation Rule #1: When a cop has a visible voice recorder and turns it off then tells you you're not being recorded, you are, in fact, being recorded anyway. He's looking to get your guard down to get a confession or any other incriminating evidence. There's no such thing as "off the record" or "not being recorded". This is why you never talk to a cop without a lawyer present. Never. If you think lawyers are expensive, wait'll you see how expensive it is for you when you find yourself in jail for years and years because you engaged in self-incrimination by speaking to a cop without a lawyer. Most cops don't actually care if you are guilty or innocent. They just want to find evidence to incriminate someone and they will lie to you to get that incriminating evidence. It's a main function of their job.

    • @random-jj7ix
      @random-jj7ix Před 4 lety

      But the recording equipment wasn't visible from the room the suspects were in. The recording equipment was in the other room's closet. This means the tape recorder and the suspects were separated by a whole room and a door
