- After enjoying last year's Street Machine Summernats as special guests, the Street Outlaws stars are back Down Under to compete in 2018. They've shipped a C10 to Australia, where it is being transformed into a competitive burnout rig with the help of the students and teachers at the Canberra Institute of Technology

Good to see Maisie having a go Getting challenged with different with different things like welding and grinding. As a boilermaker by trade, slightly concerned with not wearing rigger gloves while grinding, just something got inbedded from when I started my apprenticeship

I'm building a 1986 Dodge D100 short bed at the moment. It does not have a single rust-free or dent free body panel on it, other than the hood. No one will suspect it will have a built big block 400.

Kids need to learn to use tools, fix things, build creations, and have the skills that schools need to teach again.
The problem is lazy ass parents don't want to do anything but sit around with their nose buried in some screen. They don't want to be bothered by their kids so they start them at a young age with the BS electronic babysitters. Companies have taken advantage of the laziness and started building products designed to be thrown away instead of repaired.

Not all kids have a grease monkey dad or mum. Even if they did, the kid would want to be involved. A lot of kids these days would rather play computer games.

I’ve done mechanic work all my life built many drag cars had my son working on cars at 5 years old no shit. Had him removing the bolts from the front end of the car that he was brought home from the hospital in when he was born. It got hail damage. 89 GT Mustang. I later gave it to him when he was 12. At 18 he had an 89,91, and a 2011 GT. He now has all the others mentioned and a 2013 BOSS School Bus Yellow.

I CAN NOT GET HIM TO AS MUCH AS CHANGE THE OIL IN ANYTHING HE HAS!! He finished school and got a great job I suppose. He likes it and he makes $23.00 an hour and gets overtime every week. He says the heck with working on them I will pay someone to fix it! It’s usually me and I don’t charge him. I really hate it that he will not turn wrenches since he’s gotten older.
I can fix anything and it’s satisfying to me. I can’t make him understand that but he cannot fix anything but he is extremely smart. Just no commonsense..
I guess that goes along with the saying you can lead a horse to water but you can’t make him drink.

its helps you learn. when you have to make the things and parts . instead of just removing and replacing parts. I'd rather build things than just replace parts.
