Based on characters from the film Legion (2010), Dominion is an epic supernatural drama set in the year 25 AE (After Extinction). In a violent and inhospitable post-apocalyptic future, an army of lower angels, assembled by the Archangel Gabriel, has waged a war of possession against mankind.
With the people of Earth on the brink of extinction - and holed up in the city of Vega - the Archangel Michael turns against his own kind and chooses to side with humanity against Gabriel.

I guess its just badass that you have guys with wings and swords. It's a visual treat to spin old biblical tropes with the power of CGI.

it's pure fiction though...never, never, NEVER did the Bible, both Canonical and Deuterocanonical said that Angels are ruler of the world...at most, they are the guardians od creation but NOT RULERS OF THE WORLD....it's obvious that it ends just after 1 Season....it's american thing!!!
True. But technically speaking, there are angels that are set over nations as authorities e.g. Prince of Persia (a fallen angel, one in satans camp) in Daniel fought with Gabriel for a few days until Michael was sent to relieve him so that he could get the message to Daniel. Michael also stands guard over Israel right now which is why the islamic nations haven't yet been able to crush it under the leadership of fallen angels that stand over their nations. But when Michael removes himself on God's order then Jacob's Trouble will begin and the fallen will move in to trample down Israel.
The Bible tells us to pray for our leaders and we ought to do so for them to follow God's will. Any government/nation that is not following after the Lord Jesus is under control or at least majority influence from satans temporary fallen kingdom.
Remember satan can only copy what God has, which is why he has his own authorities over the fallen nations also because he cannot be everywhere at once like the LORD is.
It's a fascinating Biblical topic go explore and it sheds new light on how nations behave. The more sin in a nation, the stronger and more influential the forces of darkness are. This is why the Gospel is so important. Jesus is re-seeding the nations with His promise of salvation that was stolen from humanity by satan and taking territory back from the fallen angels with us carrying that message.
Remember, we were never meant to be lower than the angels in God's order. When we (those of us who are born again and saved by grace of Jesus by accepting His Lordship and salvation) die and are given resurrected glorified bodies, we will once again be higher than the angels.
This is why satan wants go bring as many people as he can with him into the lake of fire for an eternity to suffer in torment with him. We represent the image of God and he cannot stand this, he hates us and because he cannot destroy God he goes after us instead. When people realise they are truly created and that they carry the image of God, it should prompt them to want go conform more to their creator as this is a glorious birth right that people throw away so they can live in their sins and a great majority perish in their sins too.
I long for the day when all of this is over.

The rebels are, they would be the Archons, or the Vigilants according to the book of Enoch what is not correct is that the villain is Gabriel (already a villain in Constantine)just as Michael is not the only defender but the leader of the heavenly militia, rather than Semyaza and company, but then we would demand too much or too much biblical accuracy
