It’s beautiful how much our desires do change when we come to God and make room and time for God. To me this was very surprising. So much of the music I listen to or tv shows I consumed literally fill my body with dread whenever i hear / see them! My senses now know how wrong they are.
Yes, Amen! It is such a weird thing to see your old self die like that.. but truly nothing greater! My husband tells me to hang on to the memory tight for the sake of the testimony, and I believe that is such wise spiritual counseling!

I have been reading the book of Proverbs and just yesterday, these 2 verses caught my eye: "The fear of the Lord leads to life, and whoever has it rests satisfied; he will not be visited by harm." Proverbs 19:23 and "Stop listening to instruction, my son, and you will stray from the words of knowledge." Proverbs 19:27
This is SO true. The world is always so tempting and shiny and if we let them, our hearts and our bodies want to go back to it, but if we truly love God and want to do His will, we continue to listen to His instruction and even amidst the problems, we will rest satisfied!🙏❤
