It’s great to experiment. I find experimenting makes me a much better brewer because it helps me understand the ingredients
I couldn't agree more, cheers
Love watching these brew days, so captivating and exciting haha. Clearly loves his beers and knows what he is doing, despite a few forgetful moments here and there. Great vid!
Thank you so much!
Thank you for this video, interesting brew, greetings from Puerto Rico
Thanks!
Excellent video Dr. I would love to see a 100% rye beer next. 😀
Wow seems like an awsome beer! Nice experiment :-) Cheers Johnny!
It was a rough brew but the beer is excellent 👌 cheers
Really enjoyed your brew day a lot of work but looked like it was worth it
Thanks, it was a rough brewday for sure!
Great! I wanted also to thank you for your video about clarify with gelatin. I followed step by step your tutorial (i used gelatin leaves), and it worked great ! in 48h, hazy neipa (unwanted) to crystal clear. thanks !
Awesome, glad it helped you!
did you kegged or transfered from ferm to ferm ?
@@Lucait watch his video, i did exactly the same things. No transfer, no keg, just a little soda bottle :)
Very interesting video, I always wondered what would happen with a 100% wheat beer! I usually go for a 50:50 ratio with a pale malt.
Now you know 🤣
When can we expect to see a brew day with the guten? Loving the grain to glass videos too btw
Give me some time to get to know it. Thanks!
I might try us05 in my hefe and try some IPA hops. Thanks Doc 👍
Yeah you go Finn!
Great video.
What was the FG?
This video inspirited me to make 60% wheat IPA.
My efficiency was really low.
I got only 90% in the fermenter than I usually get.
Your location is awesome..
The good half of rhe year yes!
Hi, Doc, nice video. I wonder what would happen if you split ferment it with US-05 and WB-06(weizen yeast) 😅
good video...where is specific gravity measures?
Hey Doc, nice experiment! Did the 2.4 bars at 30 degrees fully carbed the beer or you needed to add extra CO2 after caging? By the way during the cold crash how much PSI you've set?
Thank you!
It was fully carbed. None I just remove the spunding valve.
Nice video. You should try adding mandarina hops to that wheat IPA, it would go wonderfully.
I think so to
@@DrHansBrewery I think I'll try brew one like that this coming weekend. Will send you a bottle.
Grodziskie is a traditionally made with 100% (smoked) wheat malt if I am not mistaken.
You might be right, I need to look i to that! Thanks
Not a real fan of IPAs, but that looks like a great brew. Just might have to add that recipe to my "Brew At Least One Time" list.
Brew only ones list you mean.
Could not agree more with what you've said here! Plain to see it's like a non alcoholic chocolate flavoured cola mixed with Jack Daniel's and a whole lot of figs are pumping to. Verdict for me is 13/10
Cheers 🍻
I'm currently fermenting a "Wheat Forward DIPA" about 82.5% Bavarian Wheat DME... Flaked Oats/Wheat and Carafoam... And then slammed a bunch of galaxy in after flameout... added more galaxy whilst running wort chiller... and then DDH more galaxy...
Sounds yummy 😋
What was the result?
@@reginaldoestremera3007 really good
I was wondering why we don’t do 100% wheat. So it gets too sticky? It doesn’t have enough body and isn’t as efficient? So rice hauls help?
I did my #3 batch as a wheat. Did >50% wheat malt and I only discovered after that it goes SO sticky. Got 48% efficiency but drinkable...
Don't try 100%
@@DrHansBrewery I also discovered rice hulls after...
What was the % abv? I dint see u mention it anywhere.
4.2%
Yeast?? Us-05 or T-58?
„Not good content” - WTF are you talking about? 🤷♂️ This is brew-nerd heaven! 👍
Thanks Captain
Will Brewgoat be shipping to the U.S and Canada soon??
Pretty sure they'll do as long as you ask them, they pretty much ship anywhere! :)
Send a mail or give them a call. Nothing is impossible. (Edited)

Tack, fixat det!
Moro at du prøver

The spent grain from this would make good bread. Next do 100% oats!
That would ne alot of bread. I need to collect some courage before I do 100% oats.
Watching you crush on that ledge is giving me mad anxiety
Yes I can understand that, I stopped that, I promise 🍻
holding it at 120 F breaks down a lot of the stickiness before going to 150 F for an hour. Brew in a bag is better with pure wheat though for sure
Why do you put your fermentation vessel under pressure?
czcams.com/video/-gyZOD-6x9s/video.html
You didn't malt the grains, did you? Were they already malted? It seems to me you just grinded and put them boiling...
The grains where malted.
Do you filter Beers?
No
Great! Now I don't have to try that!! 🤪 The beer looked really nice and refreshing though! Maybe even moore rice hulls would have improved the sparing? Was this the last GtG brewing on your old system or will there be more? Cheers!! 🍺 🍺
Thanks buddy! It will be at least one more.
You were so tired you kept calling the airlock a thermometer 😂
It was a rough day
