Join me as I experience business class on the KLM 787 from Amsterdam Schiphol Airport all the way to Singapore. It is travel in the lap of luxury on the world's best designed airline KLM, Royal Dutch Airlines.

This KLM Business Class Flight Review covers the entire KLM business class experience from dedicated Sky Priority Check-in at Amsterdam Schiphol through to the KLM Crown Business Class Lounge and then the wonderful onboard service by the friendly and efficient KLM cabin crew.
This was an evening flight so I got to experience both dinner and breakfast which were served on the most beautiful crockery in the sky.

dennis your dutch is impressive for someone whos living in ozz for so many years :D prenounciation was spot on mate! though im not a huge fan of KLM,i like our national pride ofcourse,but i personally wouldent fly with them. and yeah schiphol's train station is perfect,i dont need swap trains at all to go home all the way south =)

Didn't know that KLM started flying this route. I've flown it many times before Covid on Singapore Airlines on my way to Penang Malaysia. Always nice to fly between two very well organized airports (with Changi being my favorite stopover airport hands down).

Looks like they did move to a fairly standard 1-2-1 Rockville collins seat which never disappoints. Not going to lie my mouth was watering at dinner, haven’t had a rice table since my last trip to Amsterdam and Indonesian food is hard to come by. Hope you enjoyed it. Great to see you in the air again.

Hi Dennis, thanks for this review, been waiting for you to fly business klm as I am flying them down to Cape Town in January and I really hope we get the updated plane and seats. This really helped make my mind up to fly with them. Thanks again and enjoy your next trip .
Well even if you do get a triple 7, theres a chance it'll have the new seats as well, as all triple 7's will get an interior upgrade (premium economy + all aisle access business class)
Recently flew business class on KLM, GRU-LHR. Meant a layover in Amsterdam but as it was short didn’t get to use the lounge. My 777 had the old layout however the whole experience was excellent, highly recommended airline.

Always did like flying with KLM. Also taxiing around Schiphol was like a journey in itself, the place is so big :P
Apparently the Polderbaan runway at AMS Airport is the real journey. I think taxiing to/from that runway can take at least 20 minutes

I had not realised that KLM flew to Singapore, however Project Sunrise still has not advertised a Melbourne to Amsterdam flight, so will have to forgo some Qantas points next time I want to fly to Amsterdam to visit an elderly sister. Still enjoying your spot on reviews.

I flew in long haul business class earlier in the year with SIA. It was my first time in business class long haul. I’ve always watched the videos of the jet bridge being pulled back from the aircraft, but to witness it in person was a cool little experience.
PS. We transited through Singapore on the 14th and the 18th of Feb…so disappointed we didn’t bump into you.

It's a shame KLM still has so many 777's with a 2-2-2 , ruins the image of KLM.

@@DennisBunnikTravels KLM is going to install (starting some time this year) direct aisle business class seats (with doors) in their 777's and introduce - an actual - premium economy cabin on the 787 and 777. So their long haul fleet (the remaining A330's will be phased out in the next few years) will have economy, economy comfort, premium economy and business class.

Great to see you back at it again Dennis! How would you compare pre and post covid travel? Is the paperwork excessive?
Before Covid KLM used to be my favorite Airline. But actually they are a shadow of themselves. Nothing has left from that cool dutch spirit. Terrible Catering and the crews must feel so much pressure that nothing left for hospitality.
