Dac chips don't really matter. The output stage is almost always more influencing. We'll designed ic can be great but usually dedicated discreet components means better designs. Headroom is almost always a great upgrade. I almost bought a Zen dac V2 but but never did. I picked up a Audio GD R28 big discreet monster amp but I use it as pre amp for my living room so I am looking for a cheap gaming dac amp now. Very nice review style I believe you will get far if you continue with this.
