This song is called "The Lamp is Low", by the Brazilian composer Laurindo Almeida. He has other great works. I just wanted to ask, please, with all my heart, that at least in the video description you add the information that the song is his. Because Brazil is never seen in music, but there's a lot of good Artists here.

brazilian music is great. bossa nova and other samba genres took the world by storm with artists like joao gilberto rising into the american pop charts. id say brazil still has influence over the music world as a lot of their genre's sounds can be trickled down into some of the modern pop and jazz pieces of today. sure, probably not the most recongized anymore but still definitely up there.

As an American, I had the luxury of playing with some local Brazilian immigrants. The average guitar songs from Brazil was absolutely incredible and blew my mind. Jobim(?) is legendary.

So i wouldn't call this a 'Simple' song, but i did my best to make it easier.. 😅
If you're struggling with the first chord in the song you can change out the 557 for 007 like i did later on in Part 3.
Part 4 is supposed to be played twice as fast, but it's hard enough at even half the speed.
Skip the intro if you have to, it's not an easy start to the song.

I have tried Creep, it's a tough one because the chorus is so powerful and without some strumming it might sound a little lack luster, but i'll definitely give it another shot sometime 😊

Hey, i'd say this is one of my harder tabs. So focus on just playing the main melody and not the bass notes when starting out i'd say 😊

Hey! Thank you for another great video, man. I was looking for a nice relaxing song to learn quickly and this was it. I'd been watching Vinland Saga and i'vve just noticed a lot of people use this song for edits lol. And btw, you made a comment about how it might not be simple, but i think it's the right amount skill for this channel as it only took me a couple hours to memorize, so don't worry too much about it, my friend.

At 0:57, i find it easier (at least for me) to do a barre chord with my first finger to get all strings and then simply use my third finger to get the string on the 2nd fret. It feels faster to transition.

Oh yeah if you can do barre fingers always go for it, probably even for the intro you can get one in there like most other videos will have it, i just know people really struggle with barre chords or fingers 😅

I actually did a little arrangement for it my self, I start on a bar on the fourth fret
While fretting the high e 6 fret
I find it sounds better
But it is a little bit harder
While you are trying to make it as simple as possible so i understand.
But i really liked how you did the
(Part 2) for me i did
Low E string fret 2
A string fret 4
G string fret 3
B string fret 4
And you just made it mostly open notes, that's way easier and it sounds really nice actually

Hey! I had such a tough time deciding what to do and where to play all the parts. It's always the case where it sounds better in one place to play but then later on in the song it might get too hard, so i'm always trying to find that middle ground.😅 i really should do it someday, sorry!

Hmm, it really depends. I usually do it over 4 days, i keep coming back to it and changing things here and there, worrying about what's best and never being 100% happy with it 😅

Hey! I'd always say start with a classical guitar. That just means it has nylon strings and not steel strings. I think it's easier to learn on and more forgiving on the fingers when starting out 😅 also it's cheaper!
