    At the end of the "Coraline" movie she threw the creepy hand of the beldam into an old well and in the 2017 movie "it" pennywise makes his home in the sewer which can accessed by a well under an old house. This is just another similarity between pennywise and the beldam that this video forgot to mention.

    • @peaches7280

      Not really. In the book the other mother was talking to Coraline and admitted to killing (and re-killing) her mother. A creature can't be it's own mother so at one point there were other beings in that universe even if (assuming pennywise and the beldam are the same like you said) it is prancing around and is the only one right now there are or were others

    CONSPIRACY THEORY:
    My theory about coraline. Is that the other mother had owned both worlds. Here’s why,
    How did coralines real mother know what key was used to unlock the door under the wallpaper? She scavenged through the drawer just to find that BLACK BUTTON KEY. The only way she could unlock the door with the right key the first time is if she already knew what key the door used to be unlocked, or just a extremely EXTREMELY good guess. any other person would have took the whole drawer of keys to unlock the door. at the end of the movie, the cat is on the sign that says “Pink Palace” . he disappears into a void leading to either a different place or possibly the other world. And the well that coraline goes to it also looks like the tunnel leading into the other world. possibly a pathway? the only way all of these things are possible, is if coralines other mother runs both worlds. If wyborn, and the circus mice were made out of soul sand, they couldn’t go into the “real” world. The only person from the other world that could go into coralines world was the other mother . which is weird considering the things in the other world are ALL made of soul sand. so why was the other mother allowed to go through? And as I said twice , this could only happen if coralines mother has accessibility into the real world. As if she didn’t run the real world she wouldn’t have been able to survive in the real world and travel through..

    Beldam was inspired on a poem by John Keats way back in 1819.It's called "La Belle Dame sans Merci", which translates to "The Beautiful Woman without Mercy",
    The poem is about a knight who meets a "full beautiful...faery's child" with "wild" eyes
    . She takes the knight "to her elfin grot," where she enchants him, but he dreams of others--"pale kings, and princes too"--who warn him that she has him in her thrall. The M.O. of the Other Mother and the warnings of the ghost children to Coraline about what the Other Mother did to them are echoes of Keats' poem.
    SOME PARTS OF THE POEM:
    "I met a lady in the meads,
    Full beautiful -a faery's child,
    Her hair was long, her foot was light,
    And her eyes were wild.
    I made a garland for her head,
    And bracelets too, and fragrant zone;
    She looked at me as she did love,
    And made sweet moan.
    I set her on my pacing steed,
    And nothing else saw all day long,
    For sidelong would she bend, and sing
    A faery's song.
    She found me roots of relish sweet,
    And honey wild, and manna dew,
    And sure in language strange she said
    `I love thee true.'
    She took me to her elfin grot,
    And there she wept, and sighed full sore,
    And there I shut her wild wild eyes
    With kisses four.
    And there she lulled me asleep,
    And there I dreamed -Ah! woe betide!
    The latest dream I ever dreamed
    On the cold hill's side.
    I saw pale kings and princes too,
    Pale warriors, death-pale were they all;
    They cried -`La Belle Dame sans Merci
    Hath thee in thrall!'

Those were Tims Concepts & Henrys skills combined to create that film. On other films like Coraline since they didn't work together & the fact it is a Neil Gaiman story that is different.

    There were a couple other points I wanted to mention in this video that had to be cut out for time, but they included such details as the Deadlights and how that could contribute to the differences between the creatures, as well as the fact that it's revealed Pennywise can reproduce, so what could that mean? Not to mention the Beldam's penchant for "games". Could the playfulness of both Pennywise and The Beldam be another point of similarity?
    And lastly, if you want more tangential ramblings about IT, check out my personal channel where last Halloween I took a look at why we should give jump scares a chance! bit.ly/2DqFP6J

      FanDumb_ My opinion isn't worth much here, but personally, I feel like Cosmic Horror has an overall more cynical and nihilistic attitude toward itself - focusing more on despair than the intrigue presented by the unknowable. In Dark Fantasy, the monster can be defeated, or madness can be overcome. But Cosmic Horror has no need or care for those things

    Ever since we really started talking about the beldam and what she might really be I had this image in my head that she's like a mole cricket, with a den, and she uses her lights like a strobe light. the flickering probably sends people into a catatonic state where she psychically forces them into their own minds, nourishing their body while feeding off of their Essence as she slowly gets them to surrender their own mind. so the whole movie would have started the minute she opened the door and crawled down and deep enough into the tunnel to get flashed by the eyes of the beldam, sent into a psychic coma, grabbed and then pasted up along the side of the den, force-fed food to her unconscious body while slowly subduing her through psychic interaction until she inevitably locked herself in her own mind.

      @HopAndLockDropSoppityPop Před 6 lety +1

      Kase Cuthbertson I agree. The human brain is so complex, it's amazing that so many different people can imagine the same construct, and it's interesting to see all the different ways media has taken the idea and ran with it. I love mythology and cartoons, so it's fun to see theories that connect the two, but it only really works when the information is correct, well-researched and the connection is difficult to deny. SuperCarlinBrothers seem to be the only ones with this formula mastered. To be fair though, this video didn't have much to do with the Turtle of Creation, I just had to say something about it lol

From a biology stand point "spider" is a broad category there are several different species that are spiders. So they could be related species in the same category (family, class, etc).
