Mr. LKY worked with a tougher & harder working generation that went through WWII & Racial Riots & Civil Chaos, the people understood life was hard & focused on getting better together as one.
This "fighting" spirit is kinda lost in the now richer & used to comfort younger generation of today's Singapore, after decades of enjoying life in the best Eden state of the World.
Replaced with the spirit of "entitlement", is what the 4G needs to deal with...
I honestly feel that the 4G leadership has more challenges to face in the future.
The WOKE youngs would keep bitching about "so many things = nothing in the eyes of the older generation."
