Bucky being an over 100 year old Congressman is the most realistic part of this.
Lmfaooooooo đđđđđ
Youâre thinking Senators
@@scottlentzfilm sneators are congressman lol congress is house of rep and senate lol
Well played.
I am deceased
I love that when Kevin is interviewed he is 100% confident in dangling carrots just out of reach and answering questions where you get information but not enough. Dude has a PHD in media communication lol. He seems to genuinely enjoy teasing fans which makes you know he is in himself a fan of what he is doing. You get him with the right interviewer he even seems to still have fun doing it.
Itâs why once he had more control I sighed a deep sigh of relief. Heâs so devoted to the craft of storytelling, even if itâs bad, youâre gonna get told a story at least. Iâve been indifferent at worst ever since phase 3. Secret Invasion + Covid was such a disaster and I still kinda liked the concept, it just wasnât as good as it could or should be. Bingo
I think the name will be changed to "Dark Avengers" once the Captain America movie is released
I would not be surprised if thatâs the reason đ
I believe Feige has said that the asterisk is six bullets, representing the in-fighting within the group.

Yeah but fiege just said in that interview that thereâs a deeper meaning that will be coming out. I think the bullet thing is just another way of looking at it

Should be a fun movie. Lots of fun actors. Fingers crossed the writing is good.
As long as they don't make every character comedic relief, I'm good. We can't have another Thor: Love and Thunder situation.

I think it's more of a wink than anything else. "Yeah, they're totally YOUR team Thaddeus "Thunderbot" Ross.. Totally.. Yep.. They're not my team at all. Definitely yours. *Wink wink*"
So they're the "Thunderbolts", but also not really at all. They're Val's team.
I mean Ross is president he shouldn't really be bothering himself with the work of a "lowly" team of these people
That's what I've been thinking this whole time. They're either Ross' team on paper OR they're a contingency to kill Ross if he ever goes full dictator.
Personally I think the * is there serving the same purpose as it did for the movie "61*" and the record that the film was about. In that case the asterisk represented the powers that be (and the public at large) not wanting to give Maris the recognition that he deserved. I think that in this case it's the same thing, the asterisk representing the powers that be and the public not trusting the Thunderbolts in the same way as they would trust the Avengers because of the colored history of all of the members of the team.
Yeah, I personally think that sports just happens to use asterisks in certain situations and that's the biggest examples that happened in history.
I figure Bucky was just in a congressional meeting or session or hearing, but not actually a congressman .
There is at least one limerick where asterisk = "ass to risk". Considering the theme of the Thunderbolts, I could see them using this.
I really want to be able to enjoy marvel again, they better not mess this up
How good does it have to be for it to pass in your opinion? like on an out of 10 scale.
Thunderbolts: Dark Avengers
Nah that is literally two different comic book teams
@@andrewpearson3516This ainât the comics my boy
Ouch....
What if they call them Thunderbolts so Ross thinks they are his team, but they just work for Fisk/Val. Maybe they are just there to stop Ross if so he changes into Red Hulk. It's a stretch but, who knows.
That cast intro was great đ
Maybe the Asterisk has something to do with a hidden possessive punctuation like an Apostrophe or something of that nature.
no
maybe they are redoing the thunderbolts a little from the comics, and instead of Ross bringing them together as the leader, val is bringing them together to defeat Ross. so the name thunderbolts is the team created to fight thunderbolt ross.
Nobody's did the Elevator scene better than the Defenders
Not even cap?
@@hello38292 Cap's scene is solo, so I put it in its own category
TMNT did it Best lol
â@@msmithivh1not Marvel and DEFINITELY not better than The Defenders
My take on the asterisk is that itâs not going anywhere. Itâs part of the title and signifies the team will go down as nothing more than a footnote in history due to government redaction and whatnot
Nice
Grammatically, you may have the flipped around. An asterisk at the end of a word, phrase, or sentence refers to a footnote in addition to what it's attached to. The footnote would come afterwards, likely at the bottom of a page and in fine print where whatever that footnote is would be referenced with an asterisk in front of it.
The asterisk: thunderbolts vs skrullvengers
I think at the end of the film itâll get swapped into the Dark Avengers or whatever. Thereâs something about it being a placeholder, like, âyes this is the Thunderbolts but thatâs just this team of themâ kinda like the Expendables or Suicide Squad vibes where no one in universe expects or wants them around permanently
â@doleph1 , you both said the same thing. No correction is needed. I'm not sure where you're getting confused, but you shouldn't be.
"Winter Soldier, Bucky Barnes, Sebastian Stan, from my dreams" killed me đ€Łđ€Łđ€Łđ€Łđ€Ł
The asterisk is a placeholder for the whole logo, it is too simple compared to the other rest
Thought this channel confirmed the asterisk was actually six gunshots for each of the members so not actually an asterisk?
More likely just on a mission blending in with the group of congress men
I just got this feeling that this movie will surprise a lot of people be really good.
Thunderbolts* = Thunderbolt's Avengers
I'm gonna be so mad if you're right
Dark Avengers
My theory is that "THUNDERBOLTS*" is the title and the asterisk is a meta-reference to the team initially calling themselves the THUNDERBOLTS in-universe, but then the team name changes in-universe for one reason or another (e.g. the Redeemers).
So * as in subject to change. Makes sense now. Probably gonna change to Dark Avengers
Only problem with that theory is that the hulk rights have already reverted back to marvel. We found that out like last year.
Source?
That was the right to The Incredible Hulk movie from 2008, not the rights to the character.
Universal still owns the character bud, there was only rumours of them selling the rights back
â@@TonyJaaFan1587but how is that possible considering that the last Hulk movie they distributed was like 15 years ago?

Bucky Barnes in Congress! Probably still not the oldest person in that room!
Elaine is kicking ass!
At 4:30 Sebastian Stan doesnât say âin congressâ, he says âincongruousâ.
Wrong, Sebastian Stan has confirmed that Bucky is a member of Congress in multiple interviews.
Yes! Goodness, they really roll with things. Adding in the suit and pin to support their theories. I am sure Bucky is there for a mission and he had to wear a suit to blend in with the pin as a disguise for a camera or mic.
no he doesn't
@@accurateoutrage agree. I have the same theory.
â@@accurateoutrage replying so you feel silly when the movie comes out
7:03 *beautiful :)
i can really see the movie doing something similar to falcon and winter soldier in the sense that it is indeed a test for them being the dark avengers and the movies actual title is âthunderbolts*â and by the end they prove themselves and the credits at the end say something like the dark avengers
I think after that Captain America movie comes out itâll be renamed thunderbolts to secret avengers thunderbolts!!!
8:36 I was thinking the asterisk could be the writers playing with how the lineups of superhero teams change fairly regularly in some regard. Val could consider the members of the team to be expendable, and the asterisk could be meant to direct whoever is reading the dossier to the members currently in question. Almost a suicide squad type situation.
2:08 - I'm probably late to the game here, but "4" comes next after "3". You might say it's a Fantastic number.
5,4,3,2,1âŠ. THUNDERBOLTS ARE GO!!
Red Gaurdian is back!
OK my take is this..... if tiamut and the discovery of adamantium is still the mission of this group and the MCU is moving into "the mutant saga" wouldn't it make sense that the asterix is indeed just a place holder for the teams actual name reveal which will be BUM BADA BUM BUM BAAA.....WEAPON IX đ€Ż A precursor to a weapon X team.
I think there should have been an asterisk after the word, "Explained."
This is going to be awesome!!!
Really? You guys are promoting WorseHelp too???
The asterisk will reveal at the end that their rebranded name will now be Dark Avengers.
i think so too
And I think it's thunderbolt Ross's team not Fisk
"Winter soldier bucky barnes sebastian stan FROM MY DREAMS" is wayyy to real 14 seconds in and u already know im gonna like this video â€
Canât wait for May
Will They Be The Dark Avengers In The Future ?
As someone who worked next door to where that wall with the 123 was during filming, I can tell you it was just to block off the construction that was going on in the plaza behind it at that time.đź We actually got excited, because that construction had been going on for 3 years, and we were happy that maybe something was happening... but nope.
I think it's simply called "Thunderbolts Avengers" and they dont want to advertise it as an avengers movie.
I think this because if the president is red hulk hes probs not gonna be on our abengers good side. So hell want his owm avengers
I really dislike CZcams's habit lately, of overlaying links to other videos in the middle of the video's playtime, rather than at the end like they used to do
When we getting trailer?
The Avengers Logo literally already says VAL though, which is wild.
The asterisk is just for the movies tagline: They put the risk back in asterisk!
Yea
That was an interview with them backstage from comicon, and I think the congress line was a running joke between sebastian and wyatt.
The * is going to be for at the beginning of this they will be know as the thunderbolts and at the end they will be called something else maybe an off shoot of the avengers like the B team it could be they are called something then become the thunderbolts but I think thatâs less likely
Ok should have keep watching cuz he pretty much said the same lol
I can't believe you didn't mention The Defenders in the recurring elevator shots.
Love it when the analyst forgets itâs a movie based on an inception of Earths based on an imaginary Earth to start.
I think they need Sentry because they're working on Weapons+. Weapons+ was the government program, headed by SWORD I believe, that spearheaded the Weapon X program. Since they are introducing mutants to the MCU I think we will find out that mutants have been discovered in some capacity and the government has been performing illegal experiments on them, and need Sentry to keep them in line.
There is the Team Thunderbolts and the person Thaddeus "Thunderbolt" Ross. So I believe that this is a reference to both the team and General Ross being multiple Thunderbolts.
Thunderbolts becomes Hulkbusters!
Another amazing video
Loving that, they brought back long-haired Bucky đ
Thunderbolts Doom Squad
I think that the asterix is more to signify that not everyone calls them the thunderbolts... Like, perhaps President Ross calls them the thunderbolts because he thinks they work for him, but actually they call themselves something different and really work for Val... And it will be something daft, like 'The Valvengers' or something...
5:21 they would have to bc the news report in civil war
8:02 You mean the football game where someone loses to the Kansas City Chiefs!!!!!! 3 in a row baby, here we go!
The scene where Yelena jumps off from the building is Merdeka 118 (2nd tallest building in the world) from Malaysia..!!
Marvel is cooking đ„
My guess is the asterisk will be an in joke in the film. Like Val is putting together this team, but they don't have a name for it yet, so Thunderbolts is currently the best of whatever they are workshopping and it's not yet official.
Itâs as clear as day, the building will say ciA
I think the name âThunderbolts*â is just the name of the movie. I think the asterisk will have added meaning within the movie, but the official movie and team name is âThunderbolts*â
i think the asterisk will be a joke in the movie, they can't decide how to call themselves and they stick with thunderbolts untill someone comes with something better (which no one does)
Or the classic Thunderbolts tagline: "Thunderbolts: Justice like Lightning"
Sebastian Stan from your dreams. Remember dreams are parallel universes ;)
i just can't wait to watch it see how it goes n u know also introducing us to a backup avengers team
Thunderbolts: Flight of the Sentry
My dawg killed it with the intros kinda caught me off guard
So mayve after the thunderbolts, they go after super soldiers. That's what radicalized Isaiah bradled to attack the Whitehouse in the upcoming captain falcon movie.
I think Bucky will be âthe white wolfâ
I think itâs 1000x more simple and people are overthinking.
Itâs likely the asterisk is actually âbullet holesâ, and the moment this team âassemblesâ ^
Someone is going to die in this movie ^ A reason to become Avengers ^
Who's gonna be the next Coulson?
of the whole team line up, I'd guess taskmaster is gonna die, that would leave room to introduce the real taskmaster later, or maybe even in this movie
From Hydra assassin to US congressman? That's crazy.
I still think it is funny that captain America is the weakest being to emerge from the super soldier program đ
Asterisk because ... "THUNDERBOLTS" used to be a reference to the one who created the team, namely, ... "General 'THUDERBOLT' Ross". But ... THIS General Ross likely has NOT sanctioned the creation of the team, so ... "THUNDERBOLTS*" with an asterisk is an allusion to the Thunderbolts being created to STOP Ross rather than the original concept of the Thunderbolts being created BY Ross to stop others. IMHO
Bucks back with the long hair, winter solider vibes!! LFG!!!!!
"Stump" speeches lol
Theoretically, Bucky could be appointed by a state governor to fill an empty seat and then win a special election if he was unopposed. There may not be a whole lot of scrutiny under those circumstances. As a poli sci major, I'm very curious to see how this plays out.
Are we absolutely sure it wonât be turned into the Baxter Building? The A for Baxter
i think i'd really enjoy the movie because of the cast and the characters' dynamics (regardless of how the movie will turn out to be). i love all the leads
that being said, i am expecting AT LEAST a decent writing (pls)
I think the asterisk will be directly referenced in the movie as part of the story
I'm gonna go with my theory that we're seeing with the moves/streaming shows that we're seeing alternate realities and not just the 616 and we don't know it yet. Could be the reason Val is seen with different hair colors.
I just started sentry last week and 3 issues in so far and he seems like a really interesting character so hopefully they do the same thing in the mcu
Incongruous means to not fit in with the surroundings.
Bucky doesn't belong in this team
Yeah, because Bucky isn't a villain.
@@SSD_Penumbra none of the members of this team are your traditional villains anyways, theyâre literally all just traumatized warriors like Bucky
@@CaptainPikeachu I mean, I'd argue White Widow is a villain and Val absolutely is a villain.
Red Guardian isn't really and USAgent is straddling the line abit.
Iâm Canât wait for this !! Wow đđ
They would never use the name "Dark Avengers" in-universe, and it's dumb anyway, even if it is from the comics.
Much like Tony Stark mentioned 'Endgame' and it was used for Avengers 4, we likely have been told exactly what the * will translate to by one of the characters, likely Val
Itâs going to be called âThunderbolts Assembleâ
Titles are not copyrightable. Could get protections for the name in various ways for various reasons but no need to register the title of a movie with the copyright office in general. Plus, when a work is eligible for it, copyrights are automatic.
Why is there lord of the ring logo in this?
It's going to be Thunderbolts The Dark Avengers but they put an asterisk because it's going to be the first movie to use the "Avengers" moniker so they feel the need to tease it.
