They really need to up the quality control. Since 2.0 the ships got more expensive but the components have gotten worse. I’ve got so many bases that don’t even fit together out of the box
Could be a concept render. In production, promo images aren't usually the definitive versions. Still really hyped for this set! Really sad that we didn't even see any TIE Whisper in Lego or in Bandai model kits. Finally we've a Whisper.
If someone asks you: is that base... legal? Please do say:
"I will *make* it legal."
* proceed to change the base to the fixed one or use another base *
Potentially this image is only a 3d concept render rather than the final physical models and stands. Have to see what happens when someone finally gets the physical copy.

I think you are ignoring the potential for this to already be addressed. This may not have been a problem that got to production, but it MAY be that this issue was the reason that there has been a delay in releasing this. If this has already been shipped out, then why would you need to push the release to September? Fixing this issue might be the reason this was delayed and it will ship correctly in September with no issue.
We just need to get rid of the bases all-together. I agree that one generic base would make things so much easier.. AND.. It would save the company money.. they then don't have to make as much cardboard!
I made a set of generic bases for each faction and initiative, front and front+rear (plus one set with no shaded area, for turret ships), with aurebesh S/M/L in place of the ship silhouette; I think it cost me like $20 from CVS to have it printed on matte photo paper. If AMG did this for something like a 2.5E, then ships could come with character IDs and targeting tokens (plus a generic silhouette ID or two) - this might even convey information better than ID numbers, since you can see on the target lock token that it's Luke or the TIE Bomber, or whatever.
Like... I hope the delay was because they were fixing this. My concern about that though, is if that was the case, why did they still use bad images in the tweet and Asmodee site, or not say anything upfront about an error in the images. Makes it look like they are not aware of it... or they were, but somehow thought we would not notice? It is perplexing. And I have folks that have contacted AMG with no response yet. So as is, very concerning.
I totally agree! One base for every ship size. Maybe have some firing arcs shaded (cause those are nice). We can use id tokens for individual ships. This would also solve the quality control problem as they would not have to develop a new set of bases for every ship!

Nope it's for real, bad base. I bought two Fugitive and Collaborators squadron packs. They were shipped separately.
Both HWK 290 came with broken right
vertical fins. So I snapped off the left one. Actually an improvement!
I'd assume this is a cgi mockup of the product not actual photos. I wouldn't worry unless you've seen an actual real picture of the cardboard product.
lol, this is entirely normal in tabletop gaming. I know there's a constant need for content, but man this can be fixed with a tiny free insert

I guess we can just use any base if the bullseye for these are the same as a normal one. Hopefully it's just a render problem but AMG really needs to establish confidence in their treatment of the game quick.
This may be the reason this pack has come later than the other faction packs, this misprint was caught late in the day and will be fixed when it hits the street. I can't believe this won't have been caught by someone
Quality control isn't just an FFG issue, so many companies have had issues, errata to rules is now accepted as being the way things are
My guess is they will have the corrected cardboard in the package with the original just like the republic squadron pack
I just got a Fury of the First Order pack and this was still a problem. A bit unfortunate

I feel like this happens a lot more than it should; I also have base pegs that don't work so i had to buy a 1.0 base pack to run my ship.
I agree they're getting worse. My Recusant came with a base and no peg. Had to order one from Mel's Minis.
Didn't one of the republic ships have an incorrect movement dial as well? But they caught it and gave two new ones within that set?

Could it possibly be that Kylo can’t take a turret so they just didn’t print it on his particular base?
Send out replacement bases to the stores so people who bought it can swap them out?
