    It’s not the job, or responsibility for any American artist, or any non-politician for that matter, to show support or solidarity for a foreign nation embroiled in a civil war.

      It's a genocide not a civil war. A civil war is between citizens in the same country. The state of Israel has a far more powerful military than Palestine who doesn't even have a military because of Israel. There are more deaths of Palestinians (especially children) than there are Israelis.
      Also there have been numerous artists who have been fired or lost sponsor opportunities due to simply saying they stand in solidarity with Palestine. While actors such as Noah (whatever his last name is (all I know he is the actor that plays Will from Stranger Things)) can say stuff like "Zionism is sexy" and not get fired. (Zionism is an political ideology where Jews have total rights and everyone else that isn't Jewish has fewer rights.)
