I am a avid listener of Hindustani classical music for last several decades. Recently after listening to concerts of TMK and AS, I have started appreciating Carnatic classical music, especially its meditative aspect. With only a few and simple traditional instruments the ambience created is something to be experienced. In past several Hindustani musicians - Abdul Karim Khan, Bhimsen Joshi, Kaushiki Chakravarty, just to name a few - have tried to present Carnatic Raagas by adopting in North Indian framework, which did expose persons like me to the South Indian tradition, but what we get from the current concerts is far deeper. Thank you.

And in case you haven't noticed, there are no advertisements here either. So who pays the artistes? Who pays to organise these concerts? Who pays to make the videos? Look closer and you will find videos on this channel featuring a lot of artistes who are not famous by a long stretch, but deserve the exposure. And you have no idea how difficult it is to raise financial support to host these events and pay these artistes. We feature TM Krishna frequently because we love his music, as do a lot of people across the world. You may not like TM Krishna or his music and that's your choice.
